I've had a very similar problem for a long time. PVC's, inappropriate sinus tachycardia, all linked to gut events. In my case seems to be originating in the small intestine area. I've had cardiologists tell me that there is nothing in my gut that can affect my heart - one even yelled at me when I begged to differ with him. Gastroenterologists never heard of such a thing and neurologist suggesting there's some other underlying problem. Each one referring me back to one of the others. It's simply amazing to me that these specialists, with all their training, have no clue about any of this, with the exception of a very few special physicians, like Dr Petersen.
My son and I have had this issue since we were quite young and like you was told the stomach has nothing to do with it despite the fact that the worst episodes were always preceded with stomach issues... which the medical system had no answer for either! Very disillusioned with our medical training and system, it is sicker than the patients they are supposed to help. Health and nutrition which go hand and hand, are disregarded, while drugs and procedures are used to treat symptoms, but never fix the cause. We have no healthcare system, only sickness maintenance, and despite the costs, some 3rd world countries have better health!!!
not a sh0ock at all, me everytime at doctors office " hi can you measure my temperature?" "sorry we dont have termometer". Can you believe medical staff doesnt own a termometer, its really mind blowing to me
yep, cardiologist told me there's NO connection with the heart and stomach too, that's why God lead us to Dr. Sanjay Gupta of York Cardiology and Dr. Vikki Peterson
I’ve had heart palpitations on and off all my life. I’ve always been treated like a hypochondriac when it comes to this. Tests never revealed anything. At 75 I’ve finally been told I have tachycardia. After listening to this and looking up more information I see the connection with the vagus nerve. This has never been mentioned to me. Since my palpitations have become so powerful over the last few years I’ve had to live with the anxiety. There’s been a couple of times I’ve called an ambulance. I live alone. I’ve begun some techniques I found online that seem to be sound and helpful. I can’t believe that no doctor has taken the time or had the expertise to handle this. Thank you so much.

I have suffered with similar issues. My nervous system has been out of sync for my entire life. I'm 57. This created many episodes of heart palpitations since the age of 9. I also acquired high blood pressure at an early age of about 19. I was very athletic but my heart always beat hard. Anyway I found out in my 40's that APPLE CIDER VINEGAR helps regulate and calm my nervous system. Taking it helps with both my heart palpitations and blood pressure. Apple cider vinegar taken with water to protect your teeth enamel is worth a try. I would take as much as 2-4 oz with 10 oz water. It calms my system down within an 30 mins - 1 hour. Rinse your mouth out after taking this dose. It may take getting used to. Hope this helps
I just stumbled on this video, and I’ve been having this issue for 5 years now! My doctors could never find what was wrong with me after telling them about my shortness of breath, and chest pain problems. I got an upper endoscopy and they found I had a hiatal hernia - last year. Thanks for the info!
OMG……I’ve got a hiatal hernia, IBS-D and GERD and get palpitations related to bloating etc. I’ve self diagnosed myself and get relief by re-positioning myself etc. I am astonished that it’s a ‘real thing’ and that others suffer from it! Your video discussion is so mind blowing and thanks for it! I will be researching it further! Thank you so much for sharing!
@@ammarbasheer6228 By sitting or standing up straighter, taking deep breaths and then I usually burp or belch and voila everything is good! Preventatives for less bloating and gas…….no dairy, no carbonated drinks, chew my food thoroughly and take smaller bites! I take my omeprozole as directed etc!
hey congratulations Michelle! From my personal experience... with specific exercise and stretching, the diaphragm can be tighten up to hold the stomach in place for good.
@@sandycarlos416 Yes, I’m on omeprozole and also take magnesium as a supplement so it doesn’t drain me of that mineral etc. My GERD is so bad that if I skip a dose of the omeprozole I immediately get severe acid reflux….it’s vicious ‘stuff’!
I started getting them when I was 19 and I am now 70 and still get them when I eat to much! I can totally vouch for the fact that a hiatal hernia and heart palpitations can be related!

Same here. What I did/do is alter the diet to keep acidity down. This requires work on your part. No animal fats or products, no sugars, no bad carbs. It's very basic and easy - consume mostly, if not only, fruits, melons, berries and easy to digest veggies. I eat salads for my veggies. If you're prone to acidosis, reflux, etc, may be best to avoid tomatoes. If not, eat away. For gastritis, which I've had - glass of water with ginger powder, neem powder and ajwain powder with stevia to sweeten. It tastes bad, but kills helicobacter pylori quite well and settles the stomach. Drink three times per day minimally. I also use a concoction of Green Black Walnut Hull/Wormwood (NOW Brand) 10 drops, oil of oregano 5-10 drops, liquid immune support drops 10 drops, Drops of Nature Quercetin, Zinc & Bromelain 5-10 drops and Dragon's Blood 5 drops in a glass of water 2 to 3 times daily. Use Pepto Bismol (Bismuth) to keep acid down. I juice in my juicer - cabbage (best gut/ulcer healer in the world), carrot, one clove garlic and 1 to 2 apples for taste 1 to 3 times daily. Do some or all of the protocol and you will heal. Be you may experience diarrhea from the die-off so be close to a bathroom if able. This is normal. Best of luck and happy healing.
1:52 min into video. His Name is Sanjay Gupta and he is the most delightful Cardiology Doctor I've ever listened to. He is a Cardiologist Consultant at York, England. He has the ability to erase your worries and explain the most complicated heart health topics in a sweet, easy, reassuring manner I have not seen in any other Doctor. Thank you for spreading his knowledge and making it available to people who might otherwise never click on his Channel. He is absolutely addorable! (And knowledgeable)
If you are experiencing this; it’s time you had this lesson in the mind body connection. It’s all connected. The culprit is the vagus nerve. Stress kills.
I went through horrific trauma from birth on and the stress all that ongoing survival stress has caused me so many physical issues. I've been working hard to get my nervous system more regulated.
Agree. I am under extreme stress and that caused my heart to freak out. I think it's Takotsubo cardiomyopathy from all the stress. I am moving away from the stressful situation going to the cardiologist to be sure. But it all started with the stressful events culminating into palpitations. I now feel bradycardic.
I’ve seen a cardiologist and had many tests which were inconclusive. I’ve suspected having stomach contractions and Vagus nerve inflammation which causes my palpitations. Thank you bringing this topic out to the open.
You're most welcome. We'd be happy to assist you. Consider reaching out for a consultation. You can call us at 727-335-0400. We have a high success rate.
Yes thank you for mentioning this. I have been having these exact symptoms for 2 years now ever since I got COVID and I believe that Vagus nerve inflammation is the cause because anytime I eat inflammatory foods the symptoms flare up like crazy
Yes exactly! This has been going on for years for me…always at night but I’ve noticed that I’m bloated and my stomach contracts strongly which sets off the palpitations…so happy to have stumbled upon this video
Heart was racing. Went to ER a couple of times in ambulance. Stayed in hospital several days. Ran EKG's, echocardiograms, tripodin tests, stress test, monitor, nuclear stress test etc...PASSED all the tests. ER doctor said I was having panic attacks!? I kept going. My cardiologist agreed to do a heart cath. BAM! Widow maker 90% blocked! Just had a bypass operation. Also need a stent in another one. I say all this to say.....just because you're passing all the test doesn't mean squat! The heart cath IS the definitive test and it's the last one you get. It's a dance with the insurance company. You have to jump through all the hoops before you get to the one test that can tell you???
As someone who is a woman and who is neurodiverse, i appreciate you validating peoples very real symptoms. I cant tell you how many times ive been shrugged off as an anxiety case because doctors werent willing to dive deeper into symptoms. Thank you for being open minded to other explanations rather than simply prescribing bandaid solutions ❤
@@nikkip683 That is most likely because your electrolytes got out of balance, dropped to low, also depends on your thyroid condition which also can have this effect. Low carbs is good way to eat, but how low depends on the person.
I am under the impression that - generally speaking - people who experience very good results with keto do so because they used to eat bad a normal diet: white pizza, white pasta, white bread, not enough raw and cooked vegetables. Switching to a ketogenic diet makes them get rid of junk food (mostly "white" cereal derivatives, junk carbohydrates) excess fried food (French chips) and "forces" them to actually eat more vegetables. Was that your case?
I’m 63 years old. Heart palpitations all my adult life. Thanks to you I have realized it’s a magnesium deficiency. I take magnesium now and my heart palpitations have gone away. Now when I eat too much they come back. I truly believe heart palpitations are related to stomach issues which I also have. Thank you for the realization. No other Drs. Care to learn about this link.
I just found this channel and I have been miserable for many years. I have noticed that it seems like having this hiatal hernia issue definitely affects the heart. I’ve had many trips to the hospital, EKG’s, echocardiograms, blood work, and they do tell me that my heart is fine. Skipping heartbeats, Extra heartbeats, tachycardia at 180 bpms. It’s really difficult to have a normal healthy life when you are having these issues. Thank You for Finally confirming what I’ve seemed to notice that they are connected.
I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia years ago, and as the years passed and I became heavier and suffered from GERD, I actually began to wonder whether the palpitations I frequently had (and still have) could be caused by my stomach exerting pressure on my heart, causing my heart to "flutter" in response. I screwed up my courage one day and asked my cardiologist if he knew of cases in which the stomach actually pressed against the heart. He said yes, and didn't seem surprised by my question at all. But, we didn't go any further into the subject. I have also wondered about possible vagus nerve involvement. It's wonderful to have my suspicions validated -- I'm so glad I found this channel.
@@Fibershopindia Of course!😊 Lots of heartburn -- that's what discomfort from acid reflux used to be called, and I guess sometimes still is. The more I ate at one time, the worse it would be -- which makes sense. The test that produced my diagnosis was the one where they have you swallow barium, and they take an x-ray to see what your stomach and esophagus are doing. I am doing ok, thank you. There is a surgical procedure to correct hiatal hernia, but I don't know how successful it is, or whether there is a downside. I tried over-the-counter proton pump inhibitors, but they gave me an unfortunate side effect: unpredictable bouts of diarrhea. So I switched to good old Tums, but ended up taking more per day than was good for me. Now I am taking no more than 4 Tums per day, and working on portion control at mealtimes -- I have learned to stop _before_ I'm uncomfortably full. And no snacks before bed! -- because acid reflux is worse when you're lying down. Another important thing is to wear clothing that is loose around the middle, if possible, so that your stomach doesn't get squished, forcing stomach acid upward. I apologize if this is TMI -- good luck 👍
I've found that one of the major problems associated with Gerd and/or acid reflux of the stomach has more to do with not having enough acid in the stomach vs. too much. Many of these individuals who are having these symptoms with gastro related problems, are suffering from a lack of pepsin and/or HCL in their stomach, which in turn causes the Gerd or acid reflux to occur and proliferate symptoms. First, If one were to begin to pay attention to the types of food being consumed, by eliminating foods like tomatoes, peppers, heavy carbohydrates like pizza dough and sugary foods and drinks, many of the stomach issues begin to improve. However, many individuals also require additional help in the form of an added pepsin, an amino acid and HCL (hydrochloric acid). Many doctors and gastroenterologists would not agree with this suggestion. As the mainstream medical position is to immediately prescribe PPI's to treat the symptoms of gastric discomfort such as acid reflux and Gerd. With the mindset, that the stomach is producing too much acid therefore curbing the acid production is needed. This approach is in many cases and in my opinion the wrong diagnosis and a subsequent wrong prognosis. As the underlying problem is NOT an over abundance of stomach acid, but a lack of sufficient stomach acids.
I do think there is something to that. When my acid reflux is really bad, I eat an orange and it goes away. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it works every time.
It's great that Dr Gupta is one of the few cardiologists who takes this link seriously. His TH-cam channel has been a great resource and comfort for years, providing the lay person suffering from Heart disease (in all its complex forms) with honest, clearly explained facts and reassurance, even "in extremis". The fact that the Heart is such an incredible, complex organ, with its own internal nervous system, is exactly why it's vital that Hiatus Hernia "syndrome" doesn't mask actual disease of the Heart itself. After all, in our society, it is a much abused organ! If people are "explaining away" their symptoms as Hiatus Hernia too readily, that would be unwise, even if it means another alarming trip to Casualty & more negative test results in hospital. Better safe than sorry when it comes to the Heart.
Yes. Dr. Gupta does a great job explaining these things. And be careful with the lady in this video. This company is scamming people out of their money with a very expensive exercise program that anyone can do in their own living room.

Been to emergency several times for scary heart palpitatitions. Been to two different cardiologists and did every test at every duration. They all say my heart is fine, and they probably think I'm nuts. Several people tell me it's in my head and may be anxiety, but I've gone days without problems and when it starts acting up, it lasts for days. It's hell on earth, and medicine has basically said "Good luck with all that". This is a new lead I'm going to investigate as I can confirm I get palpitations mostly after a meal. Thank you!
Yeah I usually always had issues after eating..due to too much carbs..and I'd always wonder..hmmm...too much sugar and I'm sensitive to it?? Naaa probably insulin resistant...and eggs now give me cramps ..I think that's what been causing my palps ...idk...I'm gonna stay off em for a bit..I just don't know where I'm gonna get my zinc from...I have b12 supplements for that issue if I ever stopped eating egggs...and nows the test I suppose..it's a strange feeling yesterday...I felt like my heart was beating slow...or weakly..only for it to feel like it still was beating hard and quickly ..so weird..idk what that means hopefully nothing..I have been going thru alot emotionally financially...mentally...so maybe all that too is causing a sort of restless feeling I guess...
So glad that I came across your channel. Thank you so much. Back in 1965, I was bleeding internally, coming out of both ends. I spent a month in the County hospital. They sent me home with 2 cases of Alludrox and a bland diet, I was 19 years old. This happened to me again in 1968, but this time at a different hospital. They did exploratory surgery immediately. They removed about a quarter of my stomach and somehow modified my Vegas nerve. Now I will be 78 years old in June and have a Hiatal hernia. Two years ago I had a bunch of tests including a Nuclear stress test. l have heart palpitations. My Doctor gave me Propranolol for when my palpitations get really bad. Thank you again for your work, Respectfully yours, Randy.
There are 2 types of hiatal hernia. Functional and anatomical. Functional is due to a weak diaphragm muscle pushing up into the cardiac area and affecting the vagus nerve. Quick stretch of the diaphragm can help to reset the it. Anatomical needs to corrected surgically.
Algorithm brought me here, I also saw Dr Guptas explanation on this and it fits perfectly with my recent symptoms. I realise that at 52, I possibly now dont create enough stomach acid to deal with certain foods or amounts of food eaten. I cut my meal size down and drink a glass of diluted organic apple cider vinegar each day, and before any meal think may trigger this episode. These two interventions have really helped me. Ive subscribed to your channel and look forward to catching up on your videos.
Don’t you think drinking ACV multiple times cause stomach burn ?? I’am if the opinion that ACV is an acid and if we consume multiple times a day may cause damage to the stomach lining . Kindly explain. Thanks
@user-sb9qv5ec3b I take 1 table spoon of acv diluted in a large glass of water just before breakfast. Then I will use it if I'm about to have a meal that consists of anything I know might cause me reflux. I also notice that having a cold tends to irrirate my stomach as mucus builds up. I read that anyone with a stomach ulcer or gastritis should not use the acv method until the stomach is healed.
@@perculiar_daughterCan you point me please, or if you know, how do one first heals the stomach? Information would be really appreciated, algorithm also brought me here, been to cardiologists and emergency room multiple times, I just realized finally after 2 years, this is totally it...
Yes I came across Dr. Sanjay's videos about Gastrocardiac Syndrome (also called Roemheld Syndrome) and I believe I have been misdiagnosed with SVT. I thank God for seeing his video and also yours now.
I have found my people. Over the past 2 years I have been to the ER 5 times because of palpitations. I have had EKG's, Stress Test, Echograms and everything came back clean, the doctor said "it's definitely not your heart". I did not make this connection until now, because I also have GERD and IBS that those were the culprits. I was told they were panic attacks and was almost prescribed antidepressants that I refused. Thanks for posting this video.
Only five times? I made forty visits to ER in last one year over what turned out to be nothing to do with heart... I hope it's something to do with gerd
I don’t know why people take PPIs. My gastroenterologist of course recommended it for my hiatal hernia, but what actually fixes the problem is apple cider vinegar. Love love love love Dr. Gupta, and I’m glad to see him referenced somewhere! I was also offered anti anxiety meds (did not take) and with careful eating and ACV, when I have tachycardia, I know why and no longer go to the ER. That said, I also got a full cardio work up, and I know my heart is fine. And I don’t care how this sounds, but I’m extra careful in the 5 days leading up to the new and full moons. Tracking showed me the pattern of when I felt the worst, and this pattern is real.
All of this. And I think the full moon and new moon connection has to do with parasite activity in the body. Another factor that plays into this whole thing. When you lower stomach acid with a PPI or via daily stress, it allows parasites to take hold in the body. Further contributing to inflammation and mineral and vitamin deficiencies. It’s one big perfect storm. With the solution being to raise your stomach acid. Which is why ACV works so well. But then the parasite infection that’s leftover from the stomach acid being too low needs to be addressed as well. At least that’s my theory so far.
This is exactly what is happening to me. Been to the ER ran all the test, seen a cardiologist and everything turned out great. I was told many years ago by my gastrointestinal that I have a Heidel hernia. So now this is making sense why I'm having heart palpitations and skipping beats.
I had a cardiologist tell me it was menopause and it would go away. That was over 20 years ago and it hasn't gone away. He gave me metoprolol for the heart racing and palpitations. Eating aggravates the problem and so does constipation.
I started having heart palpitations and stomach issues, acid reflux, bloating, etc., at the same time. I went in to see a cardiologist who scolded me when I insisted the two were related. He said that one has nothing to do with the other. After a couple of weeks when my stomach issues settled down, voila! NO more heart palpitations,! That was over three years ago. Been good since.
I was having palpitations a few years ago. I saw my cardiologist and my heart was fine. He said that sometimes the esophagus can spasm and mimic heart palpitations. I hope you've found a new cardiologist!
Scold? Really? The problem is MD's put themselves on pedestals that allow them to look down on us rather than listen to our experience and observations, collaborate and learn more. I was married to MD whose father brother and son also MD's and other son is in Pharma Advertising!!! geez I got a good dose of the down the nose know it all syndrome. They can't help it they have been programmed by concepts of prescribe and cut, I know it all you know nothing ... and not listen, collaborate and learn from patients experience. We all have to be proactive. This is such a wonderful site to learn to be our own health advocates.
Thank you for bringing this up, at last someone has explained my symptoms.... Yes I have a large left side hernia, I get palpatations and upwards pressure..... I have not been to my doctor as they look at you as if your nuts, they know best!!!! I went regarding the large lump on my side and told it is a hernia, don't worry about it unless it gets red and swollen and painfully. It is painfully but not red!!!!! I'm 71yrs so I just don't think they can be bothered.
I've absolutely been to the ER over this multiple times. This is so validating to hear. I have a known hiatal hernia. I have been on PPI for years at this point (recently started tapering). I definitely have IBS, which has gotten better due to some interventions that I started. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the PPI caused vitamin deficiencies but the problem is they don't show up on blood tests because our serum levels are highly regulated! You can be deficient of B vitamins, magnesium, potassium etc in bone and tissue and get a normal blood test. GPs and gastro doctors don't want hear this. I told my gastro doctor that I had some chest burning that wasn't getting better and he told me to double my PPI dose! I did not do that and continued to taper and it's actually better. I supplement with b12 and magnesium everyday. And this heart rate, blood pressure, vagus nerve, hernia issue that you mention is related to my "anxiety" that got out of control a few months ago. Also had light headedness and dizziness. I'm on Lexapro, but I know ALL of this is related to the gut-brain axis, vagus nerve, and vitamin deficiencies from ppi usage. To make matters worse, I was also on a thiazide diuretic for blood pressure which further causes electrolyte imbalances. I've also been correcting a vitamin d deficiency for the past several months so that is helping. Please be careful people!

It’s all making sense now. I had too much to eat yesterday morning and was really bloated and ended up in AFIB. I’ve also found gluten and dairy can set it off. Everyone is different and finding the triggers can be a long road filled with anxiety. I love Dr Gruptas videos! Thanks for your video!
Exactly same here. If I am bloated, I can experience palps. After I notice a palp I've found out that if I quickly shrug shoulders up and down or shake the body, I burp, then all is fine for a little while. Without gluten and dairy I never experience this.
Such palpitations can be caused by trauma to the vagus nerve, which affects every organ in the body including the stomach and the heart. Another related issue may be trauma to the L5/S1 vertebrae, which in turn can lead to the vagus nerve malfunctioning.
I just had an appointment with my cardiologist, and mentioned what i thought was happening. The office did a EKG, and she said the hernia may be an issue. She asked me to purchase a handheld EKG. I'm having pain in my lower right to left side of my stomach. I reminded doctor if this hiatal hernia is still the issue. I wanted this surgical fix. Thanks for this information. God Bless, and Happy Holidays ❤❤
I started getting severe takecardia after a 3 way bypass and a surgery to repair an aortic abdominal aneurysm. Then, after getting a defibrillator, I still had problems. I had to to have 2 ablations. The surgeon confirmed what I was thknking that if I was full and esp if I was laying down the heart palpitations tachycardia would start often. She explained quite a bit of what you are explaining here. On how everything is so close and especially with inflammation it could trigger it. I found a smart doctor. 😊
Thank you so much for this video. I have anxiety and suffer from bloating and stomach issues and yes it can give me heart palpitations at times. God Bless you.
I have had these problems for decades, but recently found something that stops them. I started taking a potassium chloride supplement daily and I haven't had palpitations for 8 months now. I felt mine was in my intestinal track instead of my stomach. I used eat bananas to stop it in the past, as that seemed to work, but I didn't know at the time what the mechanism was that was fixing it. I recently went on the Carnivore diet to find out what it was, via process of elimination, and found my overall gut health improved. I still take the potassium as a daily to ensure I never feel like I might be having a cardiac event.
I take magnesium glycinate for the same reason. I tried potassium but it made things worse for me. I’ve been on magnesium glycinate for about 2 years and I get some flareups when my stress goes too high, apart from that, it’s all good. I’ve chased this since around 2006. My cardiac tests showed my heart was fine. The cardiologist said my condition is normal! It sure didn’t feel normal but it feels so much better now. So glad the potassium works for you. This condition raises stress levels and makes itself worse.
@@mazsof Hi. I take 2 a day, 1 morning, 1 at bedtime. The tabsule is 1000 mg Magnesium glycinate, of which magnesium is 250 mg. In my product they include boron at 600 micrograms. I recommend that you start with 1 a day for a week and see how it affects you. If it has improved, give it another week and if there’s no further improvement, and you still have issues, then take two a day. My weight is around 100Kg (220lb). I don’t know if that might play a part in the dosage but I’ve included that for you if it does. I also find that when life stresses me out, I need to double the bedtime dose for a few days. I’ve only done that for about 4 days max on occasion since I started taking this about 2 years ago. I hope this helps.
This is exactly what I was experiencing and I was looking online about this and found the doctor you were mentioning. I figured out just by being in-tune with my body that my stomach issues were causing my heart issues and wasn't worried, but I didn't know how to tell doctors because every time I've tried to link them they would think I was crazy, but I always knew I wasn't.
Thank God for you!! I'm not insane 🙃 This has been going on for me since 1994 when I found out I had a hiatal hernia and when I eat certain foods and activities I would get heavy heart palpitations. The doctors said there was nothing wrong with me. I was making it up. Finally I did find a doctor who believed me.
That's definitely what's going on with me. Glad I found this!! These drs are clueless and they don't listen!! I've been saying my vagus nerve needs to be checked for months now!!! Now I've just been diagnosed with gallstones, EOE AND😮😮 GERD. Have HBP and my heart is perfectly normal as per the many many tests performed !!!! Yet they have me on meds that I believe caused the gallbladder issues! It gets so frustrating dealing with the Healthcare system.
All this information is soooo true and factual! I live it and have been figuring it all out since I have had open heart surgery going on 6 years ago. I believe that since the pericardium sack that the heart sits in is removed when heart surgery is required the heart is now more moveable in the chest cavity meaning it can slide lower, left or right more than it does when the pericardium is intact. Dr Gupta is awesome and I have been following him for years!
I had triple bypass surgery 10 months ago and ended up with palpitations , loud heart beats ( that i can feel in the back of my head ) when laying down , sometimes filling like I'm getting zapped with electricity . Did you figure out how to fix this problem ? My surgeon told me same thing that because he needed to open the pericardium sack then put in back together , inflammation and / or scar tissue can occur but that it should go away in few months ! 10 months later still the same ! Any information on how to fix this will be appreciated.
This is my answer. No heart issues. Paid a cardiologist privately to check my heart. All ok. Night time was a nitemare. Pounding heart. Anyway, just had endoscopy and told I have a hiatal hernia (it wasn’t there 3 years ago with last endoscopy) so ACV once a day. Build that acid up. (GERD etc is due to low acid strength NOT high acid strength. ) keep the acid strong! 💪
Dr. GUPTA IS AWESOME. I have afib, due to untreated apnea, which started in the seventies, when no one was treating apnea. I have found that if I drink too much water close to sleep time, it can trigger afib, because it tends to cause burping which makes my heart speed up, and it awakens me. So glad to have Dr. Gupta; his videos are so calmly explained when we are nervous about these issues. I figured out the vagus nerve connection, back then.
And here I thought Dr Gupta was the only one talking about this, thank you so much for sharing your thought on this matter. I will definitely get your book!
Great video Dr. Petersen! I have been dealing with a pheochromocytoma and I'm getting an adrenalectomy to have the tumor removed in 3 weeks at ucla. I have to prep for the surgery with taking a good dose of Doxazosin. Taking this medication and eating a lot late at night has caused me to go to the ER and call an ambulance over 10 times in the last 2 months. I've literally lost my mind. The information in your video is crucial to my mental health and getting through this time in my life. Thank You very much!!
@@lilianwal2385 Hi Lilian, I had a random bowel blockage about a year ago and when I was in the hospital, they noticed a small tumor on my right adrenal gland. At that time, I typically had low blood pressure and several doctors at ucla said they can be common, and they call them incidentalomas. I have noticed moments of random anger and aggression for several years. I also have had anxiety for many years. However, over the last 3 months, my BP shot way up and I went to a endocrinologist. They did a 24-hour urine test as well as many other tests and another CT-scan. The CT-scan, 24-hour urine test and all-of-a sudden having to go on BP meds was the big give away.
@@lilianwal2385 Lillian, thank you so much for writing to me! I wish you the best as well. Hopefully you find the exact diagnosis and get the treatment you need. Take care!
My husband experiences chest pain and palpitations very often. Weve been to the ER many times thinking an emergency was happening due to irregular rythm in his pulse and alarming EKG results. Every heart doctor in our town has told him he's "normal" and fine. I have been determined to figure out what is going on since our doctors won't. I'm so glad I found this video!!
I had constant palpitations in the fall of 2022. Went through all the tests with no problems present. Noticed a bulge above my belly button last spring. I thought it was a hernia but a surgeon said it wasn’t and although the vagus nerve had some damage, it wouldn’t effect me in my lifetime. It wasn’t long at all before the bloating started. I was cutting (summer time) and losing weight but my gut was growing. Had a vomiting spell on Father’s day. Doctor had me not eat for a few days while taking several laxatives. Condition improved back to normal but slowly regressed and I’ve dealt with it ever since. Endoscopy, food study, sibo test. All negative. All the acid reducers, ginger, stomach supplements. No help. I don’t know what else to do. I’m gonna contact another GI doc soon but I fear nothing will be done again.
I believe I had this the other night. I ate too much coconut and oil that day for lunch. In the evening I got diarrhoea and could not sleep for the entire night. The next day the diarrhoea continued until the afternoon. In the evening my heart started to palpitate very badly, I had terrible nausea and tightness in my chest. I still could not sleep. I drank some citrus water and was there suffering for a few hours. After which I vomited out the citrus water. After a few hours, nausea got worse, I vomited again, this time it was very oily. What I think happened was that my body immediately started to discharge the excess oil via the diarrhoea. The remains of it came out through vomiting. I believe that last portion came from my intestines, which is why I had the terrible nausea. After I vomited the oil I felt so relived. And then I could sleep. God is amazing, always trying to keep us alive. I have learnt my lesson as it relates to fats and oils. Not so much!
Check your gallbladder! If you are not producing enough bile in your liver and/or you have a sluggish gallbladder then you will experience what you described. You can take bile salts with the oil next time and see if that helps.
@@Total_Body_Fitness_USA Funny you mention this. My GallBladder was removed last May 2023. My stomach has not really been the same since. Lately, more so. erratic BMs, more stomach Grumbling, like never before. This doctor has hit a Major Nail On The Head. The VAGUS Nerve is a major factor for overall Wellness. With my Spinal Maladies, I definitely have lots of INFLAMMATION in my body. The Cervical Spine Instabilities is also a Major contributing factor for increasing the Misery Index. Why? Because CI affects the Vagus Nerve: Tinnitus, Sinusitis, Occipital Headaches with Temporal headaches, ear and eye Pains, TMJ , even IBS !! And Bladder / Bowel Incontinence. But I need to try Bile Salts as you suggest,
OMG...I love your transparency on this subject you are definitely an educator. I have a medical background Radiology tech am a patient that has experienced this and witnessed friends; family and others with this experience. You shed a light on this for me. I will be sharing this information with my doctors.❤
I deal with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically, give your food time to digest before laying down. Eat slow and chew your food. Super stressful and scary!
Inflammation of the vagus nerve could conceivably inhibit its function, causing excessive sympathetic tone, and therefore excitability of the heart. Protein pump inhibitors reduce the gastric breakdown of protein rich food, delaying gastric emptying with bloating, pericardial, and vagal irritation, as well as inhibit the closure of the lower esophageal sphincter with esophagitis, and ultimately heart palpitations.
Another factor is nervous system dysregulation which can be brought on by trauma and other factors. When the fight-flight-freeze stress response is imbalanced this can affect a wide variety of body systems, including the cardiovascular system and more. I had to learn all this after nearly two decades of going to various specialists and wasn't able to get any answers until I started reaching to others who had similar symptoms. I also hypothesize that NS disregulation may also be a factor in causing hiatal hernias on top of any possible mechanical/ structural issues.
This is real.... this pressure against the heart causes tachycardia....3 times i have gone to ER and had my heart beat restored to normal. Today i can get it stopped myself....it took a while to understand what was going on.
My cardiologist explained nthis to me a few years ago, then again he is originally from South Africa so his approach to things medical a bit different and explains everything in detail.
Have had these symptoms for 3 years I'm 32. Found out it was thoracic outlet syndrome that had been pinching my vagus nerve and causing the palpitations and overall terrible anxiety depression also linked. Glad to know I'm not crazy.
I'VE been telling this to my doctors for years, they say I nuts, if I have nausea it causes AF, if I can not digest my food I get AF, IF I lay on my side sleeping I get AF, I was on a heart monitor and had seven different types of heart issues, my Cardiologist said I'm GOOD he also said make sure I pay his bill immediately he also never said I'll see you in six months , WTH.Thanks for the information.
@@Markooboy Hi, yes I've had the same, especially after a large meal, I was talking to a mental health specialist, and he told when it's happens Just laughed it off, WTF I feel like I'm going to die and he says laugh it off. Thanks for your input, I hope you never have seven different types of arrhythmias like me. Thanks
So true, I had to go to the emergency room one evening with stomach problems and my heart suddenly began skipping a beat. They found nothing wrong with my heart in the ER. They decided to put me into the hospital to monitor my heart. That evening I was getting ready to be discharged from the hospital when my heart suddenly started exhibiting Afib. They decided to keep me another night and wire me up to a heart monitor. They confirmed AFIb and sent me to a cardiologist. A time later, my stomach problems cleared up and the Afib stopped also. I still take blood thinners to be on the safe side.
I had that once. Went to the hospital in the middle of the night. The doctor told me there was no problem with my heart nor with my blood work. Was happy my heart was ok but I went back home with a lot of questions like why did I had such bad heart palpitations and what caused it? Now I finally got my answer. Thank you!
I'm having palpitations, feel likes I'm going to pass out, and feeling warm. Stomach issues with gas, indigestion, Crohns Disease. I've told my cardiologist and gasterology doctors. It feels like stomach / palpitations issues. It comes and goes. Thanks for this information..
100% correct. I first discovered my lactose intolerance caused it, then also gluten intolerance. So ever since I controlled this, plus taking potassium and magnesium has brought it mostly under control. So yes, fully diet related, inflammation related. Sanjay Gupta also says the same. Thank you for confirming. For me everything you say is not an opinion, it’s a fact.
I have hiatal hernia in upper stomach i can tell you after eating a year ago i went to ER because my heart was racing. Had an EKG done it was normal. Now i know from this video it is gastro related..
Cardiologist...3 times. All aok. Heart palpitations don't hurt me, but they are very disconcerting. I have a known hiatal hernia. It recently went from "mild" to "moderate". I'm miserable. It's starting to slide. It's spasming as I am texting. Your videos, along with others, have given me some ammo to battle the gaslighting that's been going on FOR YEARS. I'm actually quite pissed off about the whole thing. Thank you.
This might be helpful to know...I had congestive heart failure 15 years ago and developed afib which I still have, now controlled with meds. Sometimes my heart gets out of control and I get the fish flopping in my chest feeling. To keep this short, I eventually traced it to having too much of a bowel movement waiting down there, especially if it had a lot of gas. I go to the bathroom and my heart returns to normal. I was scared I was having another heart attack, I've had a few of those, until I figured this out. Some connection between heart and intestines in the neural net that surrounds the organs I guess.
The right side Vagus innervates right side of the Colon (your right that is), including the Caecum & Appendix, the whole of the Ascending Colon, and over half of the Transverse Colon. So, an Autonomic link in your case is not far fetched at all, if those areas are distended and affect the Vagus network, which in turn runs up and very close to the heart.
Wow, I was sent to A&E, as its called in the UK, by my doctor because I had alarming palpitations. I could feel them all over my body. I had various tests and it was pronounced that I had 80% blocked cardiac arteries. I argued that I couldn't possibly have as I can run up hills and easily walk 20 miles. I had 6 months of anxiety until they did a cardiac catheterization and discovered they were wrong. I was discharged still without an explanation of the palpitations. At the same time I various scans for an Endocrine tumor which were negative. They told me I had Gallstones instead. It was scary time and I gave up a part time job just in case. I am retired otherwise. I was also having some digestive issues which started a couple of months after the palpitations. I gave up fat and sugar for several months and lost 10kg in weight. Its hard to get to a doctor in the UK at the moment so all the time I was pondering the palpitations with no help. I listened to my body very quietly and realised that the seat of the palpitations was in my stomach and diaphragm, just as you describe. Some kind of hernia came to mind. I eventually got my digestive system working properly again and better than its ever been. I also got rid of my gallstones. The palpitations subsided almost to nothing. maybe I still have a hernia. I shall watch your There is a Cure Video shortly. My Wow at the beginning was from finally hearing a coherent explanation. So Thank You Very Much.
You're NOT geeking out at all - love your articulacy and enthusiasm: this was SO helpful! I have been following Dr Gupta for some time, but maddeningly, missed the one video which you're referencing which would have put my mind at ease. Many thanks.
The ignorance of most experts is a big problem..... Thanks for highlighting these issues. I have these symptoms, but no acid reflux into esophagus. Rather inflammation around the exit of the stomach into the duodenum. Could that be a reflux from the duodenum into the stomach?
I just got diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and esophagus strictures. Been Sick for 2 years and am on PPI’s with a mirage of other medications. In constant pain, have heart palpitations and spasms in my stomach above my belly button. This has spun me into severe anxiety and depression. I was a CNA for many years and did a ton of lifting so suspecting that as a cause along with several abdominal surgeries for mesh removal and repair, adhesions, and endometriosis. Currently my hair has been falling out in clumps and my electrolytes are very hard to keep stable especially potassium and sodium. Was also put on hormone replacement med for what my Primary Care Dr said is full on menopause according to my hormone levels. I’m terrified! Waiting on biopsy results and esophagus was stretched so swallowing a bit better. The bloating and constant inflammation is awful. Can’t eat much without getting spun into major pain. My body will start shaking half way through a meal like it’s telling me to stop eating and it’s followed with excruciating pain and bloat/pressure above belly button, under sternum, and under rib cage. The drs put me on more antidepressants and anxiety meds including benzos telling me I was manic and not taking me serious. Just praying for relief soon. Quality of life is gone.
You may want to see a functional medicine doctor. They seem to take a more holistic view of the patient and seem more open to understanding the root cause(s) of the problem. God bless and heal you!
Hello Doc,thank you for discussing this,i am the one who had to go through that gastro cardiac anxiety journey with all the cardiac tests and cardiologist BB,CCB and and benzo prescriptions that i refused to take due to good health young age and general medication dislike,i had to do my own research and thats how I stumbled on gastro correlation,GERD can 100% cause cardiac and anxiety issues via Vagus as you correctly mentioned, it can also mimic cardiac(chest pain)unfortunately non of GPs cardiologists or electrophysiologists that i seen ever mentioned such correlation and they generally don’t mind quickly putting you on perpetual medication list that effectively not treating anything but et best minimizing symptoms ,GERD is difficult to treat though and I know ppl who’s been on PPIs fo 15-20 years with all kinds of diets and no success…
I have talked to my doctors on this said it’s not possible. They are out to lunch , I have figured out how to stop it by changing position, breathing and a chiropractic tip of heal drops and stride jumps to big difference. Thank you for this looked everywhere for help. Yeh!!! Have a hiatal hernia since I was thirty five. Getting worse symptoms as Aged , I am 74 . None of the acid reducers prescription worked . I have had been careful on taking my vitamins as they lodged in the hernia part, causing burning ,so I dissolve them in water out of their capsules and seems to be working.
This is exactly the conclusion that i reached after 20 years of suffering and endless tests the doctors saying you have no problem, as a car mechanic that solves problems by himself and understanding how physics works, i searched in Google pictures describe the anatomy of the human body and i realized that the stomach and the heart are very close to each other and i noticed that the palpitations occurring mostly after eating food so i understand that the stomach inflates and touching the heart and this situation make you " feel " the heart beating strongly 💔 because the rhythm keeps normally, the thing that annoying is to "feel" the heart
This is extremely interesting!! Thank you for this!!! I already believe what you are saying but did not exactly put it all together like you and Doctor Gupta because I am not a medical pro. I just happen to have these specific symptoms for years now and have been paying attention to my body plus keeping data plus doing a bit of research-trying to find answers. I am so thankful for you and Dr. Gupta!!
i’ve had this for years no answers ! this is very interesting i have just been told i have a tumour in my stomach and a hiatus hernia. makes sense thank you
Thank you Thank you for this information I've complained to doctors for years about this problem and no one believed me. PPIs that were prescribed to me only made the problem worse because then I could'nt digest my food. I've found a way to help my self by doing this exercise. Lay down on the floor next to a wall and put your feet and legs up onto the wall put a small pillow behind your head lay like that for up to 15 mins. if it's too hard to put your legs up onto the wall use the back of a chair. This will make your organs fall back into place it will take a few times before you will notice the difference .
This is incredible. I had this on Sunday night. I had an unusually large meal on Saturday, and bloating and discomfort. But these palpitations happen at night when I go to the restroom in the middle of the night. This is because of POTS, but also seems to be related to what I've eaten. I'm actually at a good weight: 187lbs which is 3lbs above my ideal weight, but I don't seem to be able to digest large meals anymore. I'm also on a baby aspirin a day. I'll look into that. Thanks Dr.Vikki.
Yes, I have gastroparesis-delayed gastric emptying, “pseudo-obstruction”-so that even smaller meals can cause bloating, reflux, and distress. Ironically, the condition is usually caused by vagus nerve dysfunction (though physical obstructions like hiatal hernia can also delay emptying, so it’s important to be checked for structural differences). I had noticed that my palpitations occurred during digestion, “as if my vagus nerve is trying to kickstart itself,” I’d previously explained to my PCP. But instead, Dr Gupta’s video floats the possibility that just bloating and an overfull stomach (and it’s always “overfull” with gastroparesis) can directly put pressure on the vagus nerve itself, causing these palpitations and episodes of tachycardia. If you’ve noticed your digestion is slow, it may be worthwhile to follow up ❤
Why is this the first time I'm hearing about this after 15 years! Thank you! I don't want to be one of those "keto cures everything" people, but all of these symptoms stopped when I started a ketogenic diet; and they start again when I go off keto for more than a few days.
Here I lay in bed and as I breathe it affects my heart rhythm complete with PVCs, skipped beats as I breathe in and out. The algorithm has found me and put this video in front of me. I've always hypothesized the pacemaker signals from my brain are being interrupted as my stomach is bloated and I have Acid Reflux. I drank a heavy cream lattie today. That seems to have triggered tonight's episode. SUBSCRIBED!😊
I'm experiencing the same thing. It's so f ing frustrating. I had one of these attacks when I was two and a half kilometers out in the bush and I barely made it back. Thank God most of it was downhill
After my first episode and subsequent expensive trip to the ER at 3 AM, I visited a Cardiologist (very highly rated). After a beautiful color doppler heart test, I was told I had an extra nerve in my heart that he could fix by running a catheter up my vein(?) and zapping this spare nerve. Called it SVT. (I declined the procedure, which he assured me had a 97% success rate. He said no one knew what initiated the phenomenon. Over the next 5 years I finally figured the connection out...severe hiatal hernia into which stomach and pancreas partially entered. Scoured physiology books and found the vagus nerve, stomach and heart were all squished together inside! So when I moved a certain way, or felt the vagus tingle a certain way, my heart rate soared as high as 148 and took from 10 minutes to 10 hours to chill out. It sucks that i still have it occasionally, but at least i know that some magnesium, potassium and rest will bring it down until in goes back to normal-ish. You are well thought of in my community, and i thank you for validating my own findings.
I take magnesium glycerinate in powder form because it is supposed to be VERY bio available. I want to ask you what form of potassium and dosage do you take and how often? I would appreciate your help.
@@ooohlaa13 hi, your mag is good. I alternate over time with various forms including mag malate, and others. Potassium only comes in 99mg pills for some reason, and I use either potassium gluconate or potassium citrate -i can't deal with mega doses, so just 1 tab or capsule works for me. I recommend getting your practitioner to test you for tolerance, absorption and blood levels as I'm not a doctor or medical practitioner-just a person who has spent years observing my own body's responses.
@@ooohlaa13I take low salt. It is basically 75% potassium chloride, 25% sodium chloride. One teaspoon in a glass of water in the morning and one teaspoon in the evening. I take it at the same time as magnesium glycinate.

I just thought this to myself about an hour ago and then this video popped up!! 😮 THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Edit to say i noticed doing deep breathing meditations made my chest hurt. Thats what made me think about this. I have a ton of inflammation and gastroparesis. Also i just downloaded the gupta app last week. Everything is lining up.
i have had an irregular heart beat since i was about 7. i noticed it when i jumped into a very cold swimming pool. not had it again until i was a police officer and when i was in cold weather, i got the odd beats.. but later in life, it was so often, i had many tests and wore the heart monitor.. it showed insane amounts of irreg beats, but they said i was fine. soooo, i said that i learned about the vegas nerve and my info was pushed aside and they said that cant be it. so, here i am, years later, dealing with this alone. its flip flopping now as i post this. i did have insane stomach pain a few months ago, and finally got tested for h. pylori. (a bad bacteria that tears up the inner lining of the lower stomach and the biggest cause of stomach cancer. soooo, finally that was cured, but still having issues of gerd and heart issues. so, its suggested to get an endoscopy but im afraid to do that. not a fan of that idea.
I've had the docs tell me my heart is pretty much indestructible. But if I get too full, I feel like someone scared the heck outta me. I also get heartburn more often in the last couple of years too. The upside is that it helps with portion control and makes me do time restricted eating. I'm sure part of it is that I'm 51 and my stomach is no longer 15. If the rest of me can slow down a little, why not my digestive system?
I have experienced this for years. I was so happy when Dr Sanjay Gupta from the UK posted his video on the subject. I have little missed beats whenever I have to burp and sometimes this has tripped of attacks of tachycardia. Terrifying ! Can be years between attacks but every time I get the short flutters - I am always terrified it will trigger another attack.
I have had heart palpitations for three years. They were seen on ekg and the doctor called them pvcs and told me they are common and not to worry. I notice they get worse when I have a very heavy meal. I don't have them in the morning.
I have had palps on an off since I was 26. I had a massive inguinal hernia that I had open surgery on. I also believe I have the exact symptoms associated with this... My heart always checks out fine until I bloat. Then it will go nuts. I take magnesium taurate and that has taken away 98% of the palps.
This happens to me alot. Same problem. In 99.9% of all cases when this happens to me, I stand still and upright for a minute or so. Once I manage to burp properly and thoroughly, the condition goes over. In the vast majority of all cases it's literally gas in my stomach. Burp thoroughly and it's over.
So very true. And sad.@@CharGC123

I wonder if we would have better luck with a naturopath. I am going to try. My story sounds similar to yours.
yep, cardiologist told me there's NO connection with the heart and stomach too, that's why God lead us to Dr.

Have you tried fasting? Just asking… I’m healing my gut and body pain through fasting.

Agree. I am under extreme stress and that caused my heart to freak out. I think it's Takotsubo cardiomyopathy from all the stress.

So does neurodiverse factor into your symptoms? Or do you just feel need to give superfluous information?

It is proving difficult to establish the link between gut issues and palpitations
How much magnesium do you take per day and what kind? I started supplementing with magnesium about a month ago but still get heart palpitations.
I take Trace Minerals brand ionic Magnesium 400 mg. 11 drops on skin usually forearm or belly twice a day.
Hope you are doing well. Can you help me what were the initial symptoms of hiatal hernia?
@@cathyderose4699 makes sense.Oranges have ascorbic acid in them, which is likely why you experience relief from symptoms.

Thank you!

Omg the same!!! Since I have been 18. I am now going on 38 😢 ugh
Some of these can be from myocardial bridges.
mine seems to allways happen in bed, after late dinner. starting to suspect gut issues.
Yeah I usually always had issues after eating..due to too much carbs..and I'd always wonder..hmmm...too much sugar and I'm sensitive to it?? Naaa probably insulin resistant...and eggs now give me cramps ..I think that's what been causing my palps ...idk...I'm gonna stay off em for a bit..I just don't know where I'm gonna get my zinc from...I have b12 supplements for that issue if I ever stopped eating egggs...and nows the test I suppose..it's a strange feeling yesterday...I felt like my heart was beating slow...or weakly..only for it to feel like it still was beating hard and quickly
..so weird..idk what that means hopefully nothing..I have been going thru alot emotionally financially...mentally...so maybe all that too is causing a sort of restless feeling I guess...

What type of stretch or exercise to strengthen diaphragm?
Please let us know how to stretch the diaphragm?
Thanks
Can you share your ACV/water ratio & fluid ounces measurement please?
@user-sb9qv5ec3b I take 1 table spoon of acv diluted in a large glass of water just before breakfast. Then I will use it if I'm about to have a meal that consists of anything I know might cause me reflux. I also notice that having a cold tends to irrirate my stomach as mucus builds up. I read that anyone with a stomach ulcer or gastritis should not use the acv method until the stomach is healed.

Vitamin B1. Magnesium. Potassium.
Same here!!! I’m working on healing my tummy now!
Glad you're doing well!
What r PPI s?
@@quevicularProton Pump Inhibitors. They reduce stomach acid production.
Right there with ya ✋️
Yeah going through the same. I do have Atrial Fibrillation but more often it's palpitations. Stomach always feels bloated and tight.

I literally told my doctor this and she said no that's not the case smh
@@kimy883 I would ask who knows your body better than you? Google it. It’s a thing. Just like Gluten. Everyone has different triggers.
I have had this happen a few times. I even proved it to my dr but she mocked me. Please keep on with the information.
I started getting severe takecardia after a 3 way bypass and a
surgery to repair an aortic abdominal aneurysm.
Hi what dosage do you take
@@mazsof I take about 700 mg.

Did you by chance grow up in a stressful environment?
I was having all these symptoms, I stopped eating gluten along with generally eating better and increased vitamins. I no longer have these issues.
Thank you.
Same. Unbelievable.

Doctors go to medical school to learn this, they should know.
Check out the TH-cam channel: Therapy in a Nutshell. She has a lot on anxiety and disregulation.

They decided to keep me another night and wire me up to a heart monitor. They confirmed AFIb and sent me to a cardiologist. A time later, my stomach problems cleared up and the Afib stopped also. I still take blood thinners to be on the safe side.
Same!!!
Did you figure anything out that helps with the palpitations yet? I’m having the same. 😢

What did you feel and when?
Did you feel palpitations after eating?
He's amazing Doctor. I watch him all the time. Thank you for sharing this.
Sanjay is a good Doctor You are wise for choosing good company.
God Bless You. ThX !!
Best to you as well!
Yes! I follow Dr Gupta as well, and saw that video. My cardiologist and gp don’t really buy it but it makes so much sense.
Good animal fats is good for heart health. Real butters . Sugars and carbs not good! Vit d3 with k2 to keep arteries flexible
And of course the PPIs cause loss of magnesium and other electrolytes, leading to heart rhythm issues!
Yes i learned everything from Dr Gupta.. and since then I've experienced relief and sleep peacefully.. eat healthy and eat small at night..
Gupta!!
Very educational video, thank you. 🙏🙏 Dr Gupta is a great doctor.
You are most welcome.
i’ve had this for years no answers ! this is very interesting i have just been told i have a tumour in my stomach and a hiatus hernia. makes sense thank you
Thank you Thank you for this information I've complained to doctors for years about this problem and no one believed me.
Yoga has really helped me 🙏
You described my condition that I have been dealing with for an entire year.
I understand. If you'd like assistance consider contacting us for a consultation: call 727-335-0400, we'd be delighted to help.
Yeah nice, and what is to do woth that, any cure ? Or heal ?
@@keyylarr66 This is POTS. I avoid these palpitations by standing up really, really slowly if I want to go to the restroom at night.
She was against a baby aspirin everyday. Not good for the stomach.
@@sandycarlos416 I stopped my baby aspirin and felt much better in terms of stomach etc.
Same experience here
roemheld syndrome, look it up. it is bloating that causes it. your heart is fine, it is the stomach
My exact symptoms
Ate oats with with thick whipping cream and felt it.
I take it at the same time as magnesium glycinate.
never heard of "low" salt i googled and up came LoSalt is that it? I love and crave salt but try to limit sodium a bit does it taste like salt on food? @@alanmonaghan4159
What kind of magnesium do you take?
I just thought this to myself about an hour ago and then this video popped up!! 😮
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
Edit to say i noticed doing deep breathing meditations made my chest hurt. Thats what made me think about this. I have a ton of inflammation and gastroparesis.
Also i just downloaded the gupta app last week. Everything is lining up.
My pleasure! We'd be happy to assist you. Consider reaching out for a consultation. You can call us at 727-335-0400. We have a high success rate.
i have had an irregular heart beat since i was about 7. i noticed it when i jumped into a very cold swimming pool. not had it again until i was a police officer and when i was in cold weather, i got the odd beats.. but later in life, it was so often, i had many tests and wore the heart monitor.. it showed insane amounts of irreg beats, but they said i was fine. soooo, i said that i learned about the vegas nerve and my info was pushed aside and they said that cant be it. so, here i am, years later, dealing with this alone. its flip flopping now as i post this.
i did have insane stomach pain a few months ago, and finally got tested for h. pylori. (a bad bacteria that tears up the inner lining of the lower stomach and the biggest cause of stomach cancer. soooo, finally that was cured, but still having issues of gerd and heart issues. so, its suggested to get an endoscopy but im afraid to do that. not a fan of that idea.
Super important information, I think that's could be the root of my problem. Thank you so much.
Just saw the old video on this. Makes a lot of sense to me.
Thank you very much for this information! God bless you!
Great very informative video thank Dr. now I know what is going about my heart palpitation you are an angel
Now some of my issues with Heart palps make sense! Thank you for this!
I have had heart palpitations for three years. They were seen on ekg and the doctor called them pvcs and told me they are common and not to worry. I notice they get worse when I have a very heavy meal. I don't have them in the morning.
You and Dr Gupta are a gift of knowledge from God! Thank you for your great work.
Wonderful of you to explain this, yes York cardiologist is very very much spot on,
