I've been to Belize several times, and stayed way longer than 7 day each time, but I never got to see Belize the way you two did. Don't get me wrong, I had a blast, just stayed in hotels on the main roads mostly. Caye Calker was a favorite, as was the Hummingbird Hwy. Following you adventure and planning my own while learning from yours. FYI, you may consider some sort of raffle for your truck when your journey is through, it could be more profitable than just selling it. The truck has a certain celebrity value to it in addition to it's tested and proven worth. I'd buy a ticket.
I just returned home from the Lobster Fest in Belize, Caye Caulker & I must say that the Food & People of Belize are Great… The Hospitality was like no other place I have ever visited…
That was awesome and you better believe it.... Yeah you thought I was gonna! I want to go to Belize also. Thanks for the insight. Now I think you still owe me a Toyota "Oh What a Feeling" moment. Yep ya do!
The complete lack of American chains -- no Starbucks, no McDonalds, etc -- plus English as a native language makes this such a magical place. Throw in amazing beauty like you've captured above on top of how often you can experience something like the giant cave completely by yourselves, and it becomes one of my favorite places in the world.
l drove a 75 vw beetle from Dallas Tx to Ushuaia Argentina and back w/ my brazilian girlfriend because she'd never seen Chile and the west coast of south america. We took the ferry around the gap from columbia to panama but in 1981 most of the roads were all dirt. The bug made the trip w/o an issue other than tires.
I am glad you got to Belize it; you had a mini taste of my little Belize. I now live in Minnesota, but Belize is still my birth country where I go to refresh culturally.
Enjoy and never forget what you experience. It will take a life time to see every thing South America has to offer, you have only scratched the surface. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I very much enjoy every moment.
It truly is a Jungle out there!! River rápids looked exciting, loved every bit of this video!! You guys are Kickin it for day 7. Safe travels Mat and Stacey ❤❤👋
You guys totally Rock ! I have been watching your Journey from the beginning and I am thrill to follow you guys adventure ! Safe travels and Thanks so much for sharing these fabulous videos !!
I hope you are going to Explor Park. You will need two days there. Zip lines, great food at the park outside. Dessert it box to die for, caves side by side. I feel the big heart from here. 110% fun. The more I watch, the more I want to drive there. I belize you are going the right way. 😅
I am lucky enough to spend a night in an area with enough cell service to check out your video tonight. I'm out on a multi-state tour through parts of NC, TN, VA and WV and even showing off the TWR t-shirt. I'm with you on the free camping and stay in remote spots in National Forest that are no cost as long as you follow a few simple rules. Maybe next year I can stretch out a little farther from home, but for now the trips are still very cool. You guys serve to not only entertain and instruct me, but to also inspire me to travel and the inspiration is the most important.
I've been subscribed for quite some time and could have never imagined you guys would visit our beautiful country Belize, hope you enjoyed and had a spectacular experience 🏞️🌴
Glad you found some cooler weather. Along with a place with A/C to get a break for a bit. Overlanding at its finest on your travels. Roll on landcuriser chinook.
Good evening from the sunny and seasonally hot south Okanagan, thanks for a look at Belize. We have family who travel all over and the thing I remembered about Belize was the comment about the bugs. The clay reminded me of getting my '80 Toyota 4x4 pickup stuck in a Saskatchewan cloudburst on a pool table flat dirt road. Clay is different alright. The music choice and volume remains spot on so kudos once more. Safe travels you two.
Ohhhh! The Howler monkeys!!!I lived in Belize for several years… in the north. So No, a week is not enough to explore Belize… you saw a lot of cool stuff, but missed so much too. Thanks for the video, I miss it, such a beautiful place!
“Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” - Ibn Battuta Another epic post. I usually just watch my regulars as they post but seen your new post and jumped on it. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad I had the budget to stay at San Miguel campground and friends who were ready to break their suspension on the road to Caracol. Wandering the pine forests just wasn’t for us and three weeks wandering the mainland was too much. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Belize is not high on my list of countries to drive again.
You guys are crushing it with the videos! Totally put a smile on our faces, thanks 🙂 We loved Hopkins as well, had a great dinner and a great sleep there.
Another awesome video so great work to both of you for your production. It’s so fun to watch your journey. I’ve followed along as you were building and your videos are better than what I can find on TV. As you were in the mud off road, I wondered if you had gotten your front and rear lockers functioning? Safe and happy travels to you both.
Thank you, and thank you for watching! Ah yes, the lockers. They both function but are not wired correctly for easy use, we have a power probe that we can connect to engage them. Hope to get this solved in Guatemala!
I wish I would've found this when you guys were traveling. I live in San Ignacio. It would have been nice to meet up. It was cool to see all the place we visit often and from your point of view. PS. They should have given you 30 days when you came in. They ripped you off. Not sure why they do that to people. Also to answer the question, NO! 1 wk is not enough time to visit Belize. 😂🎉😅 Too much to do and see
I've been there several times and have witnessed all seasons, I also recognized some of the places where you have been. What a beautiful country. Have you met Mennonites? Greetings from Germany
Another absolutely beauty on an episode!! Well done again you two!! I wish I could afford to support you more. But I just bought a Tacoma last weekend.. but now I’m Tacoma Poor🥺. 🤣🤣🤣
I have to start with how proud Dad was to see that lifejacket 😁, Sunday is in her happy place with dirty tires, and we are all always so excited to see your adventures. Do you Belize in Magic - because you are finding pieces of it - much love ❤🩹
Our Falkens are the best compromise for a great off-road and highway tire! We go on and off road almost daily, chains would be a lot of work, not to mention heavy!
Those old Toyota's were legendary. They should make them again. They'd sell like hotcakes.
We agree, but then they wouldn’t be so special
Unbelizable!😊
"Don't stop Belizen'" was a favorite of mine while I was there. 'In the style of Journey'
Love it!

Haha unfortunately we will never sell Sunday!
I just returned home from the Lobster Fest in Belize, Caye Caulker & I must say that the Food & People of Belize are Great… The Hospitality was like no other place I have ever visited…
We must agree! And we’re sad we just missed lobster season!
That was awesome and you better believe it.... Yeah you thought I was gonna! I want to go to Belize also. Thanks for the insight.

We need to remember! Haha we promise the day will come
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Holding you to it!! Also wanna know what happens to the Chinook upon return? That thing has done well!!

Nice... The Mountain Pine Ridge is my favourite part of Belize. So many possibilities to explore up there.
It really is! we wish we weren't on a time crunch.

One of my fondest memories growing up in Belize was stargazing 🌌 🔭
YES, the stars we incredible at night.
Your narration of these videos is on point like Stacey Adams
watching from kenya...amazing
Enjoy and never forget what you experience. It will take a life time to see every thing South America has to offer, you have only scratched the surface. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I very much enjoy every moment.
Thank you! And yes, we could spend a lifetime in any one of these countries we visit. We will only ever get a small taste, but it's worth it!
It truly is a Jungle out there!! River rápids looked exciting, loved every bit of this video!! You guys are Kickin it for day 7. Safe travels Mat and Stacey ❤❤👋
Thank you Marcia! It was a lot of fun indeed.
Your welcome! Glad y’all got a nice spot to relax for the night. Can’t wait for the next video! Love to see the chinook still chugging along!
I have been addicted to you guys. You're a great break from the TH-cam BS . I love Mexico my mom lived there for a few years. A great escape!

15:52 knowing full well that the camera never does it justice…WOW. Waking up to that must have been amazing. The sounds alone. ❤️
You boths are lucky to travel and all that when your young. I wish I would have done more when I was younger. ✌️
We feel very fortunate!
Big up BELIZE

Great video! When a vein of quartz ends at a building theres gold involved. Truck has been performing beautifully, great build.

You said that little quote about seeing old Toyota's but I really didn't see any I'm hoping to see you a lot more in the upcoming Guatemala adventures
Sometimes it's hard to catch them on camera, we'll try and get some shots in Guatemala.
Hell yeah! Outstanding video! Love the Hopkins beach and vibe! Try more Caribbean food. Take the gravy over the (Peas) Beans and rice!
Next time!

nice camping site along the river bank, but, its rainning season, watch out for floodings, it could be rainning up stream. careful.
Good reminder! The locals didn't seem too worried so we followed suit.

A little tip next time, run highway tires, if terrain geets weird run tire chains= quiet on road with more milage and better traction whn you need it

Yes Guatemala is next!
Guate is nice big ancestral stuff there but my flag is El Salvador 🇸🇻
You think camping overnight in a riverbed during the rainy season is such a good idea?
Lost count of how many times Stacey asked that 😆
I'm the captain! 😂😂😂
Building a chinnok now with 35s and elockers front rear. But not on the awesome fj80 chassis. 😅.
