my gf and I flew from London to Cali in December 2015 and travelled around on local flights and buses. What an incredible place I really want to visit again. We spent one month visiting Armenia, the wax palms, Medellin, and Isla Providencia, with a night in Bogota. So much more to see.
I want to thank you for showing this side of Colombia. Sadly the bad reputation has gotten somewhat worse with many TH-camrs showing that dark side of Colombia. But you my man, showed its beautiful geography and omitted so much judgment.
What a wonderful trip, great experience, Colombia travel is out of this world. We Colombians are proud of this amazing place in the world. Thanks for the visit, and come back in another time. Anyone is always welcome to the country of beauty.!
I'm Colombian, been traveling the world for 8 years and always forget how amazing my own country is. This video truly shows the real natural face of Colombia, amazing work and incredible footage.
You have been one of my favourite finds on TH-cam. Thanks for the algorithms for getting me here. Brilliant cinematography and love the ambition of the two of you.
Bravo sir! A truly beautiful documentation of an incredible country. We enjoyed every minute, the pot cake was a biblical finale. Until next time (or next country) !!
A Winnipeger myself and I love your videos! Was in Colombia in November and December and the beauty of the landscapes are indescribable! Thanks for all the effort you put in to make these videos!!!❤❤
I'm a California Gringo that married a Colombian over 25 years ago. I'm an avid 4x4 explorer at home and I've driven all over Colombia too. Your video and candid words about Colombia were beautiful. In 20 trips and 27 years, I've never had a bad experience in Colombia. I love how you showed the different landscape. I've been to many of the places you mentioned. Even went paragliding there too. Thank you for showing the beauty of Colombia that I fell in love with over the years.
Look forward to the next instalment! Amazing scenery, makes me want to hit the road again. Nothing worse than loosing video footage or photos... tough one to take.
This is awesome man! Glad to see the truck is running, and to think after I winched you out of a little creek (at most times) all the way up here on Vancouver Island you'd be so far south. Safe travels and keep the videos up I look forward to seeing your adventures!!
Thank you for being a contrast to all the miserable liars that benefit on TH-cam dumping their fake stories about how dangerous Colombia is. I wish there would be more of honest bloggers like you. I wish you success!
Omg guys, I am a Colombian living in NYC who will soon (3-5 years) embark on my quest to drive around the world or at least to Argentina and back. This video about Colombia is so beautiful and inviting that I fell like to explore my country again. See you on the road, I hope. safe travels 😍
Interesting video depicting lifestyle & land scape of Columbia. Fascinating greenery hills trees river. Really most beautiful land. Must visit country.
Todos los turistas son bienvenidos a mi país, pero si van visitar lugares protegidos en colombia por favor no dejen basura en mi pais, estos lugares son muy vulnerables, la contaminación humana los puede dañar muy fácilmente.
I just came accross your channel and am going through the archieves. I am considering driving the pan-american next year and your style of travel is giving me some interesting perspectives.
Your eye and vision of the world is in line with the magical realism of Colombia, unfortunately the last visits from Canadians have been mining companies and from the United States, well... you know where and what they are coming for... Thank you for your magic!🇨🇴
this was an amazing video. We just got back from Colombia. What you’ve done for colombia is simply incredible. The DRONE FOOTAGE ❤ Who shot the drone footage? Also, do have a list of equipment or essentials for those who want to go on a similar trip? Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks! We shoot all of our drone footage :) There's really nothing you need, Colombia is well developed and everything is available, so really just whatever you would normally take on a camping or road trip.
So cool that you made it to Guatape, that was my favorite spot in Columbia. I'm planning to drive to Mexico in my truck new winter, thanks for the motivation to make things happen. Much love from Calgary!
... Differential? Did you have anyone look at it whilst on a lift? The metal you showed in the fluid looked like chunks of gear. They aren't self healing. I visited Colombia for a few months as very young man (late 1970's). If ever I was pried from Yukon I'd hope to settle in Usaquen. Canadians are blessed with a beautiful landscape but, in my mind, even where I live does not hold a candle to the scenery of that country. Enjoy your travels. "like" sent.
Thanks for watching! No point looking at it on a lift, we barely have enough money for gas (diesel) in the tank so no way I can afford to repair the diff. Plus the FZJ73's in Colombia do have the same size diff but 4.11:1 gears and our JDM truck is 4.30:1. So I'd have to swap both diffs. Actually the Colombia spec cruisers aren't even using Toyota front diffs, some strange domestic stuff going on. Long story long we have way bigger issues then a few sheared teeth, like our entire semi working transmission lol.
Congratulations guys. What amazing views with the drone. Inspire to visit some of the places you been. Keep going and enjoy your travel. One advice. More info with subtitles, info of the places. 🎉🎉
Don't usually view Overland/Travel style videos - But - I like your low key presentation. Very well edited & great camera skills 👍 I keep going back and forth for when I go further south between my lifted 2WD Transit (a/w ARB locker) or put together a proper 4*4 (Tacoma / Troopy or the like) & be able to manage the tracks you have done with much "less" butt clenching that I would experience in the van. Does your rig have a locker? I zoomed in when you were spinning up a hill & it "appered" that you did not. Seeing the mud tracks you went down - I bet you were glad you had MT tires and not A/Ts.
Nah limited slip in the back diff. And yeah there have been a few times we were pretty happy to have MT's on. I think the comfort of a van can not be underestimated, we really only use the 4wd 2-5% of the time. Although, that 5% of the time is totally worth it to us. We would never trade 4x4 for anything, our plan was actually to just build a bigger truck next but we'll see. Good luck man!
Great work, excellent video! Very inspiring! Let me know when you’re coming to Peru. We’re enjoying Peru from the motorcycle perspective, but much hidden nice places and spots may be interesting for a 4x4 discovery also!

Love your posts and respect the intrepidness. I'm not a 4x4 mechanic and that sounds essential lol. Very surprised wild camping so hard to find. You would have to be sponsored and if it's Toyota, maybe not show too many repair moments😂
