So. This was our first REAL day on trail in the Talladega National Forest. It. Was. A. Blast. Seriously, like the best time ever. Everything was perfect. The technicality of the trails, the weather, the breaks in between, the camping. All of it. It was spectacular.
Tyler with his TRD Tacoma and Del with his 80 series Land Cruiser were there.

Great video
Great work. I love sharing your vids with my kids (6&8). It's getting them energized to do more exploring. Really love your engaging editing and down to earth narration.
Hey Jason, glad we could help you find a great trail! 👌🏼great video too!
I'm having a sad day, so thanks for posting this and making it brighter!
dahveed284 Sorry you're having a sad day!
Love these videos Jason!
Awesome, I love your videos. I'd love to go overlanding
Just binged watch all your videos (recovering from injury), great stuff! Keep it coming! PS no idea how you only have 2k followers! That'll be 100k in no time w the quality editing, and story lines!
Kyle Lepore Ahahaha. Well first off - best wishes to a speedy recovery! Been there! Thanks for watching!! Working on growing, just got started a few months ago. Trying to get the word out' haha.
Kyle Lepore Thanks so much for the kind words!
I shared on FB in a group I'm in called Midwest Overlanders, hopefully you see some subscribes from it.
Great video. what road is mountain campsite off of ?
Alabama Overland did a trail clean-up rally with the DNR and they opened the gate and let us drive up to the firewatch tower and let us climb up inside and its amazing.
As always well done sir
Tyler Gieck thank you sir!
I spent a couple days hiking around Talladega National Forest this past summer. If you get a chance, check out some of the hiking trails. You guys were in the parking lot of the Chinnabee Silent Trail. Really cool trail, with a cool story behind it. And a handful of waterfalls!
Great series!!! Subbed...kudos for travelling with my fellow snake eaters.
awesome video...! saludos from venezuela amigo
Turtleback Envy!!!!
Please share the FSR#'s.
Hey what map did you use to navigate through the TNF?
Which has better mpg the Tacoma or the 4Runner??
Was this 600-1 or 600-2? Thanks!
Your kids will remember that forever
Dude! I didn't know you made it down here! Next time you're in Alabama let us know.
hey Jason, I've followed your videos since a while now! Great stuff! Very Casey Neistat style and super fresh editing. Quick questions, what suspension/tire setup are you running, and also what was that trail mapping app you used? Thank you! and keep on pushing and inspiring!
Jason, your videos are very well done. I found your channel a few weeks ago, and have now watched all of your edits... I think. I am planning a trip to Talladega soon. Would you share your GPS files from this trip?
@jasonkoertge Great work, I've been binge watching all of you videos for two days and I was wondering what was the situation with your neck, where you hurt at some point? Nice vids, keep 'em coming 👍🏻👍🏻
Jason I really enjoy your videos and seeing you take your kids along with the adventures! #unbanyeager
Can you share the route you did in TNF? would like to compare it to what i have mapped out so far.
thequest2overland Absolutely. This is the route we took; www.gaiagps.com/public/Gf2d5vIqMUM000xW6BrH3O9q
Great video!!! Don't you have a diff lock in your 4Runner?
Aziz D I do. Just didn't have it turned on. That and atrac, I'm sure I would have crawled right through that.
Jason Koertge how many cameras did you use till you said "Good morning" :)))
I think that’s a ranger station, on a overlook.
Locker broken ? Or just no cheating allowed , hehe
what navigation app are you using? I know you mentioned it before but I am looking for one to use on my trips
Do you have your route and camp spots mapped somewhere? I'd be interested in driving out there.
Where did your buddy with the Sand Taco get that front grill?
Hey Jason! Your buddy with the Tacoma and his bed cover. Do you know who makes the bed cover? Thanks. Great video as always!
Justin Soltau it's the leer 100r
Thanks so much Tyler! Looks really good. Can't wait to mod up my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4.
What program and hardware are you using for mapping?
I note that you use the iPad but what application do you use to navigate on the off-road trails?
Thanks.
What trim level is the 4Runner?
What gps program are you using.
Im sure you get this a lot, why 4runner over tacoma off road?
nathan rubio same chassis, not much difference, both good choices
Does your 4runner have kdss?
I hit forest roads 600-1/600-2 through Talladega a few times a year. It’s has a decent mix of terrain, and is a fun way to spend a day. The addition of a little rain makes some parts fun. Was just there a week ago, and some of the washouts could get you in trouble-ranger couldn’t make it through in his Dodge Ram.
Where exactly was this trail. I would love to drive it this summer. Or if it has a name or whatever. Please let me know. I am trying to get into overloading, and this seems beautiful and doable with the truck that I have.
Looks like 600-1.... county road in Clay County. I think...
Where is your wife during these adventures?
What mapping app do you use?
Man I've tried Siri, Shazam, the comments and listening to most of Andrew Applepie's songs on iTunes but I CAN NOT figure out the same of the song playing through this video. Especially at the end. I believe it's all the same song. Could you share the name of it with me?
You need some lockers
That trailer seems as if it would be annoying.
