I eat those Bumble Bee tuna things for lunch at work. I eat lunch in my 05 Ford Escape Hybrid M-F. I ate in it when it was in the 20's here in Indiana just a couple weeks ago. Thankfully it's warming up!! 51 today at 6:37 am. Love your videos. You're so regular. Kids are great too!!

Next time you're in Utah I'd love to show you around. Look up Nine Mile Canyon I can provide a really good free tour of the area. The San Rafael Swell is also a great place to visit. We could also get into the back country of Canyonlands. Maybe schedule a three day trip on White Rim Trail.

I found it pretty intriguing that you mentioned muscle memory. I'm a welder, so I rely on muscle memory a lot. I never really thought about it when driving but you are absolutely correct. My two old trucks I don't even have to think about how I manuver them on the trail. It just comes naturally. My 4runner I have to be cautious just driving around town

Well, the first time I was in Moab I was quite nervous too an Fins N Things and Hells Revenge and other places. There are still spots on trails that cause some pucker factor. To me thats a good thing because it makes me more be more careful.... I love Ouray/Silverton/Telluride area of Co. as well .. there are some places there that bother me still and I have done them 4 or 5 times. One place I am not ready for is Black Bear Pass. Have fun your journeys. we always do...

I can't wait to take my 4Runner out there. I just hope I'll remember to test out all the features when I'm actually in the situation to use them. I saw it looked like you had your rear locker on going up that last uphill part, that's what I always instinctively resort to, but I'd love to really test out crawl control on spots like that just to see how it compares. I know the "rock" setting in the terrain select works pretty well, it's gotten me up some gnarly hills, but I never remember to test out crawl control haha.
Great video too, it's awesome to see your and your family having such a good time. Good on you for getting those kids out there and letting them grow up the way they are, they'll have awesome stories to tell their kids someday.

Just found your videos while doing research on the T4R for potential purchase. Great work! That's a great setup you have there, and quite an impressive amount of gear! :) It's funny, I was actually in Moab the same time as you were .I ran Fins 2 days before you did in a rented JK Rubicon (2 door). It was my first time in Moab, we went primarily to mountainbike, but I just HAD to get out on the trails in a Jeep at least once. Good call dropping off the trailer, and I can vouch that the camera never shows how steep some of that stuff actually is. There were a few times where I felt like I was going to put that Jeep on it's front bumper on some of the descents. And even with the super short overhang on a JK, I STILL scraped the receiver a few times.
Question for ya on the 4R: I may not have Trail money in the budget, do you have any experience wit the SR5? I can live w/out Crawl and MTS, but I LOVE the idea of the rear locker. Does the ATRAC at least partially compensate for the lack of the locker and perform better than open diffs? Thanks!

One of my favorite vlogs thus far. All are good, but Moab is awesome and makes for great terrain and off-road paths. I like that trailer too. Little sketchy on some of those more vertical angles. In vlog 27, you said that the power bogs down hard when on an incline towing the trailer and all of your gear/food. I don't know if you've been talking about doing this on your channel, seeing as I'm a new subscriber, but equipping your Toyota with a better intake and exhaust setup could free up your engine a little more and add a decent amount of power along with it

I'm quite surprised that you don't have more subscribers. Your videos are much like Casey Neistat but they strike a whole different niche. I like this type of subject... off roading, overlanding, camping and definitely family time. Great job! Keep it up, I've subscribed to your channel and I want to see you explore more areas. I'd also like to see some veo-coordinates in your subject field especially where you found that cave in Cypress/Citrus, I guess I should've commented that video. Haha! Awesomeness, keep it up.

Casey is a shill for the highest bidder. This is like you said, niche and one mans own journey and story.

Wouldn't it be safer if Jake removed that mount on his tow bar? I was just imagining the rear dropping down and bending the entire thing up.

I think KDSS was really meant for the Limited version since it's really meant for highway driving. I'm just guessing here but I think he has a Trail Premium.

one of the best edited offloading channels. A couple tips. one keep your arms inside the vehicle, it's good habit to learn. The habit of keeping arms in side will save you when things do go wrong. 4wheeling is like everything else, its not if but when will something go wrong. Two, If you are ever doing trails in Colorado an things do go wrong, there is a group called colorado 4x4 rescue and recovery that will help. Just my 2 cents.

Switching between 4Runners as they were going down hill was epic. You’ve got talent. I’m not gonna lie, I stopped watching after you sold the Toyota.

Be wise, you have a family. BUT
if you can afford it, I think you'd benefit from a lift and slightly bigger tires.

Did you air down at all? If not, you should consider it, there are basically no downsides, unless you're going fast.
