Owing a Tuono V4 Factory for over 2 years now. Seriously thinking to change for another bike, just for the sake of having a new toy. At the end, it will be a new 2022 Tuono. There is just nothing that comes close to that V4 power-plant and the chasis that puts so much confidence every time you trash it harder 🥰

Eugene Gallagher . Took the Speed triple rs out today and it was a revelation. Handling wise , for my body weight , ( 15st) it's firm but not to the point of being uncomfortable. As speeds increase it really starts to come into its own and I think maybe beats the Superduke for agility and composure. Quickshifter is super slick and the brakes are superb. Only complaint is to wheelie it the t.c needs to be off . What were they thinking. It comes up a treat in 3rd. Overall it's a great bike ,just sort the anti wheelie and give us some racy paint jobs Triumph

It trips me out how 'meh' people are about this new Speedie. The thing lost 20+ lbs and gained 30hp in one year. It's launched itself deep into Super Naked territory while remaining civilized and still unquestionably being a Speed III. Not sure what people expect, but I suspect it'll take a little time for it to register.

Rode both bike back to back last week. No doubt the Triumph has a great engine and a brilliant finish (no visible cables/ hoses or any cheap looking surfaces) but the Tuono is by far the much better ride. Drivetrain with a perfect powerdelivery and flawless transmission/ blipper, best in class suspension, great stability, far better electronics/ assist package, great dash, proper ergonomics which suits the avaliable power - not talking about the V4 sound. The only lowlight is the looks of some plastic covers and switches - just my cents.

To make it a much better street bike, back the too firm Ohlins settings to 20 Compression and 20 Rebound on both fork and shock. Makes a massive difference. After owning and riding 8 years on the Street Triple R (2009/2014 models) I bought the Black Speed RS, to me the more substantial feel, power, build quality, ergonomics and the fact that it now rides more like a Street made it a no-brainer :) I have no complaints about the Speed suspension setup in normal (90kg 1.87m rider) since my Street was setup for the track. Only niggles I found sofar in the Speed: Neutral is sometimes hard to find, buzzing/droning in the handlebars above 6k revs which I'm hoping will be less with some bar-end weights, otherwise a perfect bike! Nice review! keep them coming. Cheers from the Netherlands

What is the range/mileage you have for the Speed Triple 1200? I've got a V4S and it's quite thirsty - 7,2l/100km.

Great video guys. As I own a 19 Tuono factory and rode the RS yesterday was very interested in your views. Totally agree that the engine in the RS isn’t a patch on the Tuono. However the fit and finish of the Triumph and the smoothness makes it a great bike. The one reason I wouldn’t have one you didn’t mention. After an hour of riding it my legs were extremely sore and cramped, where as the Tuono has never done that to me. Be interested if you had the same experience. Cheers guys.

Fantastic review Mr Chops, much appreciated! If only the Speed triples colours weren't inspired by John Major. I would love if somebody inside Triumph would explain their thinking behind the drab colours. Something more vibrant would swing the balance of trading up from my 2016 model

Thanks guys I'm loving this format. I'm a Speedy owner and have loved it. The new Speed will be amazing but I'm ready for a change and think the Tuono or SDR might be it, I'll be interested to see the comparison of the Speedy and SDR. I was hoping the Tuono would be a clear favourite to help me make my mind up, so creds to Triumph on making this new bike so epic. My biggest issue with Triumph and the Speedy is the choice of colour, the Tuono just looks so much better. Come on Triumph, you made a fantastic new bike but the paint options are as dull as dish water.

Great video mates! I agree with your points. I think the ease of use of the Triumph’s power especially above 6k gets you moving quicker than you realize. I own one with a few mods like Air Filter, Decat Race Exhaust and a Unrestricted ECU Tune and let me tell you… It’s a rocket. I’ve found that I can launch harder by standing on traction/wheelie control. WOT from a stop, or exiting a corner and you can just lean on it and it keeps you sorted. I love it!

Great video as usual Lamb Chops! You probably are right about the Triumph, it could be the better bike, but as a Tuono 2020 owner myself, for its little niggles, it's still the best bike for me and when I open my garage door it always makes me smile! I have never tried a speed triple, but the looks don't do it for me and Triumph continue to do dull, boring paint schemes. Like you said, if they had done the Speed in a red, it may even tempt me to try one. Keep up the good work!

I honestly can't stand the motovloggy stuff, random man rambling about random stuff I don't care about etc, waffling and repeating etc. This video however is just pure quality content. It's straight to it. It's full of the footage, audio, and info I want. Having two people discussing the bikes is far more engaging. The hosts have chemistry and are entertaining but it isn't over the top... Top work.
