I own both and choosing between them would be a difficult task. My P07 has the full Cajun magic done and the Beretta PX4 CC has Langdon's magic... If you pressed me to pick one - it would be the Beretta by a slim margin. In my hands it shoots flatter and less felt recoil. Having said that - I'd be happy with either. Thanks for the video!

I have both as well and the main difference for me is how much easier the slide is to manipulate on the ltt px4 cc. Both fantastic firearms but the ltt trigger is considerably better than my full cajun pro kit p07. I do prefer the grip and ergos on the p07 even with the talons on the px4.

    I own both
The Beretta is superb, soft shooting, easy controls and if you drop a 11lbs hammer spring and an LTT trigger bar isn’t even a contest, the Px4 CC is the best polymer pistols/ trigger combo. Thanks for reviewing

CZ P07 is my EDC gun. You don’t have to make any modifications for the trigger or anything else.So it’s a better option in my opinion. It’s reliable, durable and very accurate. Thanks for the review.

Excellent video! The choice gets even more difficult because you don't need to spend $900 on the PX4 to get a very good shooter. I picked up the PX4 Inox Compact before the LTT Compact Carry was released for around $500, and while I am curious to see just how good the LTT trigger job in a bag is, I am extremely happy with the few, cheap mods I made: 1) lighter hammer spring, the LTT #11 chrome-silicone spring, 2) conversion to the Stealth lever decocker kit, and 3) Talon grips ...all very easy to accomplish on my own, with little/no experience. Good stuff.... and ABSOLUTELY LOVE my PX4 :)

But I would still go Beretta if I had to choose.

One more thing to consider is reliability. I have no doubt the PX4 is very well made and reliable, but if I remember correctly the rotating barrel ate a lot of sand and mud during the MAC gauntlet test. The p07 did way better.
But I have to admit I am a CZ fan and my edc is gripchopped p09 ;-)
Anyway, many thanks for the video. Cheers from Prague, Czech Rep.

I don't drop my gun in the mud and sand. In fact where I live, I don't even know where to find it. Hard to imagine a situation where I'm going to be out slogging in the mud and the sand and drop my gun like an idiot and then need to pick up my gun to shoot someone. I'm not fighting Indians on the Great Plains during a rainstorm. So I think the test they do is pretty ridiculous. It might have some utility to a Ukrainian Soldier. But for those 90% of us who are going to Compact Carry in an urban environment, the test is completely irrelevant. That being said, I love cz's but not for that reason.

I paid $749 for a new PX4 Compact Carry, plus $35.00 shipping and $30.00 for transfer fee. Total $815.00. I paid $619 retail plus $55.00 sales tax for the PX4 Compact for my son. Total $674 for the PX4 Compact VS $815 for the Compact Carry. So for $141.00 difference. I'm happy with the price difference.

I’ve got both except my P07 is cajunized. Both are superb, although if I had to pick one it would be the compact carry. It’s a superb gun and is slightly better for CCW (it’s my summer EDC) and has a smoother trigger pull. Even cajunized the P07s DA can have a few kinks in it.

Follow up since last comment: I have since purchased 2 Beretta PX4 Storm Compacts (1 inox, 1 bruniton, both "G" models, not LTT "Compact Carry" versions). I don't have a lot of range time with these yet, but I am incredibly impressed with the PX4! And that's without the LTT goodies you get with the Compact Carry model. I've handled and shot the P-07 in the past but I have not inspected or shot both pistol models side by side. I may pick up a P-07 at some point but I doubt the ergos will be as good for me as they are on the PX4.

I have a CZ P-01 Omega and love the gun. I have ordered a LTT Beretta PX-4 Storm CC 2 and I’m waiting for delivery by my FFL. I can’t wait to get both out to the range to compare them.
Gotta say the reviews and SA action on the LTT Beretta PX4 CC2, the rotating barrel, and the LTT upgrades are what prompted me to spend $$$ on the Beretta. Those as well, and aside from, already owning a Beretta 92 FX and a Beretta 80X Chetah .380 and based on Beretta quality I wanted to add another fine Beretta to the collection.

I love my CZ-75s, and in this case I'd take the P07 for the heavier DA trigger and its better looks. The PX4 has to be the most homely gun I've ever seen. Aesthetics don't matter for a carry semi-auto, I suppose, and that's why I carry Glocks.

    • @puzer1

  • @SectionChief
    @SectionChief 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I’ve owned both. The P07 is more versatile than the PX4 compact. P07 has more options to get optic cut, can be a suppressor host, has more magazine availability (same as p10c), can utilize full size weapon mounted lights, has more holster options, easier to change iron sights, and so on. PX4 is a capable competitor and if range of accessories, upgrades, etc is not a need for you, then it’s just as good as P07.

  • @hailtothe_rooster1572
    @hailtothe_rooster1572 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I’ve got more p07’s than px4’s but I’ve got a lot more berettas than I do CZ’s.
The omega triggers leave more to be desired compared to other CZ’s BUT if you actually get to shoot it instead of finger banging it at home it gets significantly better.
Personally I don’t like to change factory internals on carry guns. If it’s duty proven that’s good enough to leave it alone. At over 3k on one of my p07s it feels as smooth although slightly heavier DA than the SIG srt triggers.

I picked up a Compact Carry about two years ago for roughy $750 (actually, I looked at my records and it was $650!) - one of the large retailers was running a significant sale on them. I loved the gun and shot it well, but I ultimately sold it. It was a bit bigger and chunkier than I wanted to carry, and I didn’t need another home defense pistol. Not saying you can’t conceal the PX-4, but for me in SW Florida, it was more than I wanted. At what I paid for it, considering what it comes with out of the box, it was a good value. Only thing, besides size, I did not like was the stealth-decocker. Too hard to activate, but you could easily replace it with a thicker lever. Only CZ I have is a Scorpion PCC, but I’ll have to pick up one of their handguns eventually - hear such great things about them.

Gteat video comparing the 2! I carried a Beretta M-9 and trained others on it for 15 years in the USAF. I own a CZ-75B Omega and love it...Best pistol I've owned! I recently got rid of a Sig P320 AXG Carry (all metal - LEO edition) as it was too heavy for CCW. I love CZ's and hammer fire, so I purchased a CZ P-07 and upgraded with Talon Grips, a CGW SS guiderod/spring so far and have it at the local gunsmith to have a set of Dawson sights and an M-Carbo springbkit installed, along with smoothing the internal parts! • @-RM-

I would pick the Beretta for 3 reasons: 1) Its overall size is slightly smaller than the P07 (at least in length)...2) The Beretta slide is much easier to manipulate (this has always been my beef with the "inside rail" CZ 75 platform)...and 3) I prefer the fully decocked system of the Beretta to the "half cock" decocking system of the CZ. Being of Czech heritage, I really WANT to love the CZ's, but they just don't work for me, ergonomically or operationally.

    • @1776orbust
      @1776orbust  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Why do you dislike the half cocked system
      ..just curious

    • @-RM-
      @-RM- 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@1776orbust If I'm not mistaken (and I often am), I believe the "half decocking" process on CZs actually reduces the trigger pull length by a small amount. If that's the case, I don't like that. I want my decocking action to put the pistol all the way back to its original position, with its long, heavy DA trigger pull. It's just a safety thing for me.

    Keep this in mind.
During the NATO torture tests only two firing systems passed the trials.
One was Glock and the other was CZ.
Also, no NATO force or Military on earth carries the PX.
Simple is always better when it works.
Nobody will ever argue that CZ's won't simply work, each time.
Outside of the 92 series Beretta doesn't make a pistol I've ever fired that was as shooter friendly as most other makers.
    Over $900?!?!
Where did you buy that, on Gunbroker?
That price will almost get you in the CZC ballpark, which is vastly superior to most anything else in the DA/SA market.
I haven't fired anything *except my Staccato* that would take my CZC SDP out of my waistband.
Not to mention the Beretta is just plain ol' ugly.

I get in a lot of debates about duty proven vs it’s nice out the box/ cheaper/ etc.
When you’re serious about using something for any significant amount of time anything that’s passed a trial is your starting point.
If you’re gonna shoot 2 mags out of the box, call it good, and feel comfortable carrying it…. Good for you. It will probably work when you need it BUT I like to shoot and often wear out or break things like that

It's $900 because he sent it to Langdon for tricking up. I have one and it was $659 from PSA. Out of the box, straight from Beretta it's a great gun. Don't know why, especially if you've never shot it, you would send it to Langdon. Waste of money in my opinion.

I know this is an old video, but I am facing this very neck/neck battle over which of these I am going to buy, and unfortunately it can't be both right now because the 2nd gun I have bookmarked is a Steyr M9-A2 MF. So I have to ask that if now that you've actually shot the PX4 which gun do you recommend? I was a little shocked that you didn't mention the rotating barrel feature as far as recoil would be affected.

The upgrades on the PX4 is the difference in price. You won’t really upgrade to a G model with night sights and Langdon trigger for less money

One issue that must be covered , as proof , all you need to do is look at some of the last videos Gun Sam has done . Sam is not a newb , at the end of his vids he will do some shooting at steel as part of his ammo test . In just the last few , he failed to take the pistol off safe & had a brain fart way too many times . In a fight that could be 2nt place , a very bad place to be when they may already have a head start .

Neither of these pistols has a safety (both decocker), so what are you referring to?

Tell me where in a defensive situation, the trigger pull made the difference? In 45 years of owning firearms, can't remember s single case. Trigger pull and reset are one of a few overrated feature of a firearm and are applicable to target practice . Learn to shoot and adapt to different firearms.

Trigger may not make a difference up close. However, in my non expert opinion , a lighter trigger would make a difference at a longer distance.

@10:30 I would get the PX4 & get a rifle to go with it . I had a 40 cal Rifle & traded out of all my 40s , the rifle was 100% , too many good things to list . As a Glock owner , I just ordered an FM-9 to go with them . Paul Harrel likes his PX4 Storm .. same mags & more power >> th-cam.com/video/UvDboYtanac/w-d-xo.html

If you have light weight / new / part time shooters ... this may be the best rifle , short of a 10/22 . Very user friendly & a Cream puff to shoot .

Hell no its not worth it. For 900 + dollar, you can get a p07 and possibly a Glock. And Glocks aren't cheap. On top of that the px4 storm has some Springfield "gripzone" type branding on it's grip. And it's just overall ugly. For 900 dollars that shit should look like a 1911. Idk why it's a difficult question to answer for you. That was the easiest question ever.
