I’ve owned this gun for six months and it’s ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE GUN!…….yes, I have two GLOCKS, G19 and G42 as well as numerous other Beretta’s and other makes, but THIS is my FAV!
It truly is a compelling option, especially with all the options included right out of the box. You can definitely tell it was built by a shooter, for fellow shooters.
Great review. I have two of these, one cut for an optic and the other one not. Easily my favorite DA/SA platform and I’ve had Cajunized CZs and (still have) a 92 from Langdon. I think the Langdon 92s have better triggers but the PX4 from Langdon is easier to carry and is more natural for me as a polymer striker fired person. The presentation is superb. The recoil and handling characteristic are superb and it is very very concealable. I actually offloaded a Sig 365XL to get my first one of these and it replaced it in the carry rotation. Slightly bigger yes-but very concealable and way more fun to shoot.
To update my previous comments, I ran across a used Px4 compact and snatched it up. I put a 10 pound hammer spring in, cleaned it up and shot it. It is what they say, overlooked and underrated. It shoots beautifully. My double action shots were better than any striker fired gun I own, including my m&p shield plus ported which I thought was incredible. It is a bit thick and may not be the easies to carry but the tradeoff in shootability might be worth it. Only thing softer shooting I have (outside if 22) is the ruger security 380. I'd take the Px4 over anything. Again, great review, I wish more people knew about this gun.
Such an underrated firearm. I bought mine in 2017 and have made a few changes since then. Low profile hammer, extended decocker and LTT trigger bar for a shorter reset.
Is the ltt trigger bar different than a different hammer spring? If so which hammer spring did you use? How to install or find instructions? To lighten the da pull
Thanks for the video. I've been watching a lot of these videos lately, and I will be buying one from LTT. Probably with all the mods. Subscribed and hit the bell...
Absolutely love this tool ! Pd $1100 for mine and honestly worth every dime ! After 2 years and approaching 10,000 rds + - I just bought identical pistol for $822 . It is my EDC and will be for life . I have & enjoy many others but this is the ONE I bet my life on ! Only other thing I would even consider would be this gun chambered in 357sig !! Also I enjoyed your review !

I've shot the PX4 Storm regular and it's great shooter, I can only imagine with the Langdon Tactical components how much of an improvement it is. I agree about the grip texture but it's nice Beretta included the Talon Grips. Worth the money.
I have two of the LTT PX4 with RDO cut. Trigger is excellent for DA/SA. Consistent control of the grip due to short size and smooth texture is where it is not best in class. Occasionally a few malfunctions cycling rounds completely into battery. I moved away from HK P30 towards PX4 and P07 (Polymer DA/SA) and struggle to know which one serves me better of the two.
Been a subscriber for a long time, very good review on Baretta’s ultimate compact gun. I had a Baretta Cougar for awhile which is similar but comparatively inferior. I would seriously consider this firearm again, good job.
i have a Grand Power p1 that has a similiar rotating barrel action. it is a very flat shooting gun. i haven't shot a lt storm but i have shot a lt beretta 92. compared to the regular Beretta, it is night & day difference in the da sa trigger. a friend of mine has the px4 compact 9mm that he had milled for a 507k. it is a sweet shooting gun. i can only imagine how smooth the trigger is after Langdon Tactical has worked their magic on it. like the Apx, the px4 storm is a very underrated gun that most people don't know or care about.
Just picked up the compact stainless on the private market and man what a shooter!!! I put in the Langdon Tactical trigger bar and boy oh boy did that change the single action break and reset, it’s my favorite polymer framed gun right now. That rotating barrel just eats up recoil and the ergos are out of this world!
I kept thinking it looks a little chunky, but I’ve never held one. It would be nice to pull in some of your other guns for reference. I’ll stick with my Cajun CZ PCR, but it’s significantly more expensive because it has all the bells and whistles too. On the other hand the best trigger I own is a 92 with a Langdon trigger, so I imagine this is phenomenal. And it looks dehorned already, so if it points well, you got a winner. I’d like to try it because every reviewer says it shoots so well and they wonder why it’s not more popular.
With the Stealth decockers, the PX4's profile is nice and thin - for a compact. Honestly, it's the perfect compromise of size, capacity, and shootability! I've even modded the mags to have 18-round backup mags for my Inox Compact - ABSOLUTELY LOVE this pistol!
Thanks for the vid of my favorite pistol. I purchased a full size Storm 9mm back in '08 and have loved it from day 1. When the Compact came out, I knew I had to have it and within 6 months or so did buy it. And loved it, made it part of my edc lineup. Then I found out about Ernest Langdon and his work and purchased the Trigger Job in a Bag for my compact an converted it from an F to a G model and installed the TJIAB along with some stealth levers. WHAT A GUN!!! It is by far my favorite pistol to shoot and I brag on it every chance I get. I have had issues with the stealth levers and have ordered the 92 levers for my Compact and will install them when they arrive. I'll also do a deep clean at that time since I have the slide mostly disassembled. Good times. 😁 Anyone who says they prefer a Glock over this gun have obviously not shot this variant of the Storm. Smooth as butter and reliable as the sun rising in the east. If you don't own a 9mm pistol, this is one that should be part of your search for the perfect handgun. While you are at it, take a look at its big brother the CX4 Storm carbine. Matches in and is the best PCC out there, IMO.
I appreciate your review of this weapon. To answer your question about would I spend that much money on a PX4. The reason I watched your review is because I’m looking real hard at ordering one of these from the Langdon Tactical site tricked out, milled for and with optic mounted $2100ish delivered. I definitely want the Shelby 🤣
Thanks for the review. I haven't held or shot the PX4 but I have shot thousands of rounds through Beretta 92 LTT Elites with the trigger job and can attest to the quality of Langdon pistols.
Great video! I just subbed up. I have owned several PX4 Storms in the past. Just picked up a brand new one (compact 9mm). It's factory stock right now, but it will have a date with Langdon Tactical in the near future. Would you please do a video of some range footage shooting your Compact Carry LTT?
I’ll take it to the range one of these days. The schedule is pretty packed. But I’ll film the shooting. Thank you very much for stopping by and for subscribing. I really appreciate it!
Great review of a very under rated pistol. I think it might be worth the price, but couldn't say for sure until trying it. I do love DA/SA guns and there are not too many options out there, so it's good to see Ernest give it some love
@@MDpolo I have a Beretta 92 compact with a few pieces from Langdon and thought the compact carry PX4 would make a great upgrade for carry, especially with the sight options
I basically built a full size version of this since LTT didn't have any. Comp trigger, ltt bars, etc.. Great pistol. But if you're not used to worked triggers, this is super twitchy in SA. Talon Pro grips does wonders.. My favorite pistol. I also recommend ceramic coating the barrel. Like glass..
@@MDpolo I used Cline Tactical in Tucson, AZ. Great group of guys. I always used to think it was just cosmetic, but you'll feel the difference when the pistol cycles. VERY noticeable on a pistol with a rotating barrel like a PX-4.
Thanks for the review nice looking gun. Wanted to get one years ago but held on that. Now I wish I could get one. Seems like there harder to find right now. Just wondering if you were able to get a holster for it. Love to get one for concealed carry. If I do get one like to have a holster with a light attachment. Thanks again great review outstanding looking firearm.
Love my PX4 LTT. It's so fast shooting and accurate. Dead nuts reliable as well. Put the Talon grips on it and it was good to go. Got a great deal on mine as well. Very Under rated pistol IMHO.
I have 2 of em. They're just the total package. For a smaller carry gun I go for the shield plus PC, but in it's class it's my fave for sure. I understand the dislike of DA/SA, but if you can get used to it I think it's the best balance of safety and a good trigger that exists, especially since the double action is so amazing on these guns and I don't want to have to worry about a safety. Both of mine have acss 507s and trigger job, but one has the sharp stippling from Boresight Solutions, the NP3 coated barrel and internals (and they give you 3 NP3 coated magazines which are the best magazines I've ever seen), and bobbed np3 hammer. Let me tell you that is one sweet carry gun. It's $2000 for all that but it punches in its weight class for that price. I pick it over my zev oz9c hypercomp, PDP or anything else. If you have 2k and are looking for the best carry gun in this size range I'd consider it. And I've considered 2011s like staccato c2 and such but I don't like safeties and weird expensive magazine issues. The new 2023s or whatever that use p320 mags are interesting though. There are other interesting things coming out (m&p 5.7) but this is gettin too long.
I appreciate your comment. You are correct, it is a sweet package and one of my favorites. Once you get into the $2000 range, there is some stiff competition out there. Having said that, this gun gives them a run for their money. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I know you’ve been a long time subscriber and I appreciate that! Please let me know what you think of your LTT once you get it. As always, thank you very much for stopping by.
I avoided this gun like the plague because I honestly feel it’s ugly lol. I’m a big Langdon fan so I broke down and bought that version. Holy smokes is it a great gun! The most accurate gun in my collection 4” and under. My only gripe is the decocker is a little to stealth and is tough to use but that can be changed as you said. Also, wish it had some texture for my non shooting thumb. It’s a little smooth but other than that it’s absolutely perfect
The grip texture is the only thing that I can knock it down for. At that price range, they could’ve done a little better. It is very nice that they include Talon Grips, but that means they know it needed texture. Other than that it is absolutely awesome. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Recently breaking in an old compact .40 with only a hammer spring change... Was surprised to see this trigger is already comparable to cgw p07... no need to improve anywhere but the reset.
@@shabzkhanz I'm from PA. I happened to find it at Range USA in their used case. The original owner called to get it back but it was already on layaway 🙂
@@MDpolo Just went to the range this weekend to try it out and very impressed. Very tight groups from 25 yards and recoil was super soft. Only thing is the grip moving around but I ordered a talon grip. Now I have to look for a holster 😅
@@Canyons_2_hollers Sorry Jeff, Off hand they don't have any names attached to them. The orignal owner didn't leave any information about them. they are non tactical light holster that seem to be well crafted quality.
What a great compact handgun, a real mixture of modern and contempory elements! the rotating barrel is a great idea and saves having the issues of the sight issues of the traditional browning system where the barrel slightly tilts up even on lock up. My only question is - could you supress it?
They offer a chrome silicone 10# hammer spring for this pistol on LT website I was wondering about it would lite strikes be an issue I shoot underwood in my pistols
If I had the money, I would. I think, though, that I'll have to settle for the standard version. I like what I've seen about this Beretta PX4 Storm, what do you think?
Yes. I have also seen people leave the stealth on the right hand side and install the regular one on the left-hand side and that seems to work as well.
Great video. Thanks. I did purchase the PX4 Storm Compact Carry G model for $820.00 new from my local dealer. Excellent product with the G series Langdon modifications, i.e. Langdon trigger, stealth decocker, etc. It's a little bit chunky in ?y hands even with the small back strap. I did get the Talon grip material for that smaller size. However, on a high grip and still being able to have a comfortable index finger trigger pull, I am not able to have the beaver tail at the apex that area between my thumb knuckle and index finger knuckle if you know what I mean. But, the gun has little recoil, so it's not a deal breaker. What I would like much better I think than the Langdon curved trigger is a flat 1911 type trigger. Do you know if this can be done? Again, many thanks for this and all your videos. Always quality!
Hello Michael. I don’t know if Landon has a flat trigger available for this handgun. They have awesome customer service - so I would give them a call. I appreciate your kind words. Cheers!
@@MDpolo Really? I have the same Walther. I also have the LTT PX4 in the full size. I have the optic cut and NP3 coating everywhere. Perhaps I need to train more with it and increase my proficiency. I do like the fact you can keep your thumb on the hammer while reholstering.
@@MDpolo The rebate applies to the PX4 compact carry which has the LTT upgrades...the model is JXC9GEL. This model has most of the LTT upgrades but not the spurless hammer and optimized trigger bar..which is customized directly through LTT..also there is another model JXC9GELN that has just regular sights (not Ameriglo orange) that gunbuyer has for $619 with free shipping...have to pay taxes and FFL..but rebate essentially pays for that. I ordered it last night..I verified that both models are listed on the rebate page.
Morning, Has anyone done the Langdon Tactical Trigger Job in a bag and the DPM recoil spring? Pro's....Cons, waste of money on the recoil spring? I just got a PX4 Storm Compact. I want to do the Langdon trigger job but they are only offer a metal recoil spring on their website. I am assuming that Langdon doesn't think its worth anything except going from plastic to metal but wanted to see if anyone else has done it. Thank you.
@@MDpolo I know langdon px4 has great trigger, but After that? The steyr has a more modern ergonomics, lower bore axis, suppressor ready barrels and probably less recoil ... It would be cool a comparison in tour Channel!

The grip texture is the only thing that I can knock it down for. At that price range, they could’ve done a little better. It is very nice that they include Talon Grips, but that means they know it needed texture. Other than that it is absolutely awesome. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Bet you don’t think it’s ugly anymore. It’s a look that grows on you.. like Glocks.
@@Hialeah1925 I still think it’s ugly. Better than a stock Glock but still ugly lol. Love the way it shoots though so I deal with the look.
@@jvz1448 lol Glock is beautiful man
@@Hialeah1925 To each their own. Lol.
Recently breaking in an old compact .40 with only a hammer spring change... Was surprised to see this trigger is already comparable to cgw p07... no need to improve anywhere but the reset.
They are awesome and extremely underrated. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Great review, love the crowned barrel idea. I picked up one of these for $615 out the door. Can't wait to get it out to shoot it.
Congratulations. That is one heck of a deal. Please let me know what you think of it after you shoot it. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Nice....where did you get it from? That's a great deal.
Great vid! I'm such a huge fan of this gun.
Thank you! It’s a special gun for sure.
Purchase a used one a couple of months ago. Great pistol, came with 8 extra magazines. Just had the barrel crown work and Trigger Job in A Bag by LTT.
Congratulations. It is one of my favorites. Thank you very much for stopping by.
@@MDpolo I forgot the pistol also came with two holsters one IWB and the other OWB, great deal!!!
@@stephenallen3551 that is a good deal.
@@stephenallen3551
What brand of holsters are they ?
@@Canyons_2_hollers Sorry Jeff, Off hand they don't have any names attached to them. The orignal owner didn't leave any information about them. they are non tactical light holster that seem to be well crafted quality.
What a great compact handgun, a real mixture of modern and contempory elements! the rotating barrel is a great idea and saves having the issues of the sight issues of the traditional browning system where the barrel slightly tilts up even on lock up. My only question is - could you supress it?
I have not looked into suppressing this pistol. It would be interesting. Thank you very much for stopping by.
A fantastic option.
It is my Carry gun of choice.
I cannot imagine another pistol that I can be more accurate with from 20-25 yards and in.
One of my all-time favorites. Thank you very much for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
I love mine … I took it to the range the px4 performed better then what I thought
I wish more people would take the time to give this pistol a chance. It is pretty awesome. Thank you for stopping by.
They offer a chrome silicone 10# hammer spring for this pistol on LT website I was wondering about it would lite strikes be an issue I shoot underwood in my pistols
I don’t know sir. I have not messed with the internals of this one. I love it just the way it came from Landon. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Wonder if they make different shoes for that trigger like a flat one .
I haven’t seen that for this model.
I have one and it is the best handgun I own.
Yeah, it’s one of my all-time favorites. Thank you for stopping by.
add the 92 match hammer to it w/the optimized trigger bar and it makes the reset in sa even shorter.
That would be amazing. The reset his amazing as it is. Thank you very much for the information and for taking the time to stop by.
I have the same pistol... love it.
Oh yea... I only added the Talons to the sides.
One of my all-time favorites. Thank you for stopping by.
If I had the money, I would. I think, though, that I'll have to settle for the standard version. I like what I've seen about this Beretta PX4 Storm, what do you think?
This is one of my favorite handguns. Thank you very much for stopping by.
MDpolo, I’m thinking about getting the low profile levers instead of the stealth. Have you seen those?
Cheers!
So, do you like this or the Weather PDP Compact Pro SD better?
The Beretta no question.
@@MDpolo Really? I have the same Walther. I also have the LTT PX4 in the full size. I have the optic cut and NP3 coating everywhere. Perhaps I need to train more with it and increase my proficiency. I do like the fact you can keep your thumb on the hammer while reholstering.
Good time to buy with the $75 rebate from Beretta on PX4s.
Does the rebate apply to the Langdon ?
@@MDpolo The rebate applies to the PX4 compact carry which has the LTT upgrades...the model is JXC9GEL. This model has most of the LTT upgrades but not the spurless hammer and optimized trigger bar..which is customized directly through LTT..also there is another model JXC9GELN that has just regular sights (not Ameriglo orange) that gunbuyer has for $619 with free shipping...have to pay taxes and FFL..but rebate essentially pays for that. I ordered it last night..I verified that both models are listed on the rebate page.
Morning,
Has anyone done the Langdon Tactical Trigger Job in a bag and the DPM recoil spring?
Pro's....Cons, waste of money on the recoil spring?
I just got a PX4 Storm Compact. I want to do the Langdon trigger job but they are only offer a metal recoil spring on their website. I am assuming that Langdon doesn't think its worth anything except going from plastic to metal but wanted to see if anyone else has done it.
Thank you.
I’m sorry bu I have not. All the Langdon guns that I have came with the trigger job done.
Did you get this one from Beretta or Langdon Tactical?
Beretta and then it was sent to Langdon to have all available options installed.
You don't need to decock the gun in a hurry or under duress so I don't see the issue with the low profile decock levers.
Love my PX4. Only thing left to do is have LTT cut it for my optic
It is pretty awesome. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Subscribed my friend.
Thank you very much!
I wish they make it with steel or aluminium frame. Nonetheless fantastic gun.
Nice!
"C" version is my choice. A 15 shot 'revolver'!👍
PC in the Middle East, nice!
One of my all-time favorites. Thank you for stopping by.
Px4 or steyr c9 a2 Mf ?
If it’s the regular PX4, I would thanks the Steyr all day long. If you’re talking about the Langdon PX4 - then no question - the Langdon.
@@MDpolo I know langdon px4 has great trigger, but After that?
The steyr has a more modern ergonomics, lower bore axis, suppressor ready barrels and probably less recoil ...
It would be cool a comparison in tour Channel!
@@b.jak7 That’s a good idea. I’ll see if I can work on that.
Is it a .40 or a 9mm? I want.40!
Mine is a 9 mm.
I love Beretta and Langdon modifications, but I think you could have done better with the $1500
Have you shot one? In my opinion, the one area where it could’ve been better is in the grip texture. Other than that, the price is justified once you shoot it. What would you have done with that money?
I have a PX4 compact and I'm a lefty and I release the slide in the left side anyways I'm anal like that and I love my 92x because that was my first firearm I bought. Now I want that one as well.
It’s awesome.
Local guy is selling one of these for $750
That is an awesome price on a fantastic gun.
@@MDpolo I think the 3 hour round trip road trip was worth it
He was a sell one to get one kinda guy and was looking to fund a SS cr920
Ernest charges too much
I disagree but that my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Have one. Love it!
My guns are better
I’m sure they are.
