I agree with the criticism of the rather sharp 'bat wing' stock levers. They can chew up the hands a bit, and I feel that, since it's one of the first things people tend to notice or feel, they may write off the PX4 pretty quickly - not realizing just how fantastic the pistol is with just a few very CHEAP MODS. I'll list a few of the mods I have found that makes this incredible pistol even better. #1) Hammer spring swap - This is by far the biggest “bang for the buck” change you can make to the PX4. I cannot emphasize enough just how significant an impact this swap makes. It’s also very easy to do - anyone can make this swap - and it takes maybe 5 minutes to complete. • Swapping to Beretta’s D-Spring drops the DA/SA pull weights from 10/5 to approx. 8/4.5... a bit smoother trigger action as well! I loved the D-spring, but curiosity got the best of me. So, I opted to switch to the Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT) chrome-silicone hammer spring. • I chose the LTT #11. It dropped the (DA/SA) trigger pulls to 5.3 - 6 lbs. (DA) / 3.5 - 4 lbs. (SA), and I’m not going back …LOVE IT! #2) Safety/decocker mods - The available options are listed below. I have the 92fs RP levers installed on my full-size and the Stealth levers on my Compact. They're cheap enough to try them both to see which you prefer. Additionally, some prefer to have the 92 or carry lever installed on the left side and the flatter Stealth lever on the right. (Just remember, it’s not difficult to swap these out 😉): • FREE - a relatively simple & quick operation will convert the PX4 to G-type (decocker only). ...really just removing a ball bearing from the lever. I prefer decocker only (and carry my compact this way), but when I carry my full-size, I carry decocked with the safety off. • 92fs RP levers - available from Beretta to give the PX4 the same style levers used on the M9A3/A4. IMHO, these levers (or the Carry Lever, below) should be stock on the PX4... phenomenal operation and manipulation! I installed the 92s on my full-size because my wife wanted to retain the safety/decocker functionality (makes her more comfortable). Since installing these levers, my wife has completely taken over our PX4 full-size, so it now serves as our primary home defense pistol. The 92 levers can also be converted to decocker only in the same manner as the stock levers discussed above. • Stealth levers - available from Beretta (levers or kit that includes a low-profile slide stop/release) to give the PX4 an incredible, low-profile slide and convert the pistol to G-type. I installed these on my compact and still can't get over the difference they've made in overall feel and carry... the virtually flat profile created is a dream to manipulate, and as a bonus, it looks awesome. Considering the PX4 compact is virtually the same size as the Glock 19, it's no wonder that Ernest Langdon has dubbed it his DA/SA G19! These can be a bit stiff initially, but I can easily decock with my thumb only after a break-in period. • LTT Carry Levers - Langdon Tactical offers a middle-of-the-road alternative to the 92 and Stealth levers, and I have read/heard many great reviews about them. Other good/cheap (and quick) mods: #3) Talon Grips - Talons just work. Grip texture options are available to suit most preferences, and they simply make the already excellent ergonomics even better (I prefer the rubberized). However, if you prefer, LTT has a great vendor that offers EXCELLENT custom stippling 😊 Ernest Langdon and others have addressed the common criticism of the PX4’s grip texture (or lack thereof), and it really comes down to a cost-benefit analysis. Beretta is not going to spend the money and time on research and re-tooling on something as subjective as grip texture when a cheap grip application can resolve the issue for most users. #4) Mag release swap - I had no issues with the stock release, but I swapped to the medium mag release out of curiosity and found that I liked them - A LOT! Additionally, I took a cue from Lucky Gunner's Chris Baker and sanded (rounded off) the mag release's sharp edges... much more comfortable! BTW, if you need/want a little extra confidence in the durability of the PX4, Ernest Langdon completed a 50,000-round endurance test on his PX4 full-size some years back… still shooting strong! Plenty of videos are available, so check them out!
Berettas are the kings of guns. The oldest manufacturing company of the world, founded: 1526. Just look at the looks of Beretta PX4 storm, seductively sexy. I simply love Berettas.
I love seeing the px4 getting some love recently from various channels. Has been such an underrated and dare say not k own about gem in the gun industry for a long time.
I have ZERO experience with any CZ firearms but I did recently buy a PX4 Storm Compact. This done after way too many videos researching. No one had anything bad to say about them. Some personal additions sure but nothing negative. Also a 150,000 rd test with no parts replacement required ( heresay ?) . I only have 35 or so rds through this but no buyers remorse at selling my 45 1911 to streamline my ammo and I carry this owb. I have a Ruger LC9 for CC. That being said..this gun is as comfortable for me as my 1911 and shoots very accurately at my current distance of 30 yards. ( I too am no professional shooter ) This one is a keeper for me. I also like its looks but that on all pistols or anything else is just an O P I N I O N ( personal preference ) VERY WELL DONE VIDEO.
It's been over a year but I've handled (not shot) both of these & from what I remember I really liked both. Each is unique, but to me they each felt good in my hands. I ended up getting an HK VP9SK, but both of these are still on my wish list to own.
Always great content! I’ve owned both, though my P-01 was pre omega trigger. I do love CZ, they make a product that is both great to shoot and appealing to the mechanics junkie, but in this case so does Beretta. There’s many reasons to choose either one, and if someone can’t list a reason other than just because, I’d totally get it. But since I commenting from the position of if it were my money, I still have a PX4 Compact Type G.
Thank you very much Robb! I completely agree, both are great guns. I can see why many opt for the Beretta. For me, CZ just hits that sweet spot. Either way, tons of fun to try out! Cheers brother!
I do not own either of the two pistols but, am a fan of both brands. A few months back purchased a 92X full size and that became my favorite gun slightly overtaking the sig p320 x5 legion. Three weeks ago picked up a cz 2075 rami, installed cgw dawson precision night sights and for a 3” barrel the accuracy is unbelievable. The rami replaced the beretta 92X as my favorite range pistol. The rami trigger is not as good as the 92X but I am happy it is a heavy trigger while carrying da in my pocket or appendix. Going to have to stop shooting my 9 mm for fun though as ammo supply is dwindling during this pandemic ammo price gouge. Time to rotate my 45 acp 1911’s back to range rotation. Great review as always.
I have the CZ a good older friend of mine has the beretta. He’s always been a big beretta fan, and they’re great guns. We brought these both to the range the other day and shot them... he traded his in for a P01 the next week 😆
Got my PX4 Storm as my first gun back in February of 2017. It really is a first love that I keep coming back to. Got most of the relevant upgrades for it too (and some TiN coating for bling factor)
When field stripping the PX4, it's best to decock it first. The tension provided by the hammer should be enough to disengage the slide when you pull the tabs down. I have the full size in 40 and it consistently comes apart smooth as butter. When I use that method to field strip mine you can see The Slide move forward ever so slightly once the tabs are pulled down
Thank you for the advice! I’ve tried that method and mine doesn’t seem to respond. I’ll keep working with it though. May just need to be loosened up. Cheers!
I own a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact in 9mm. I will say it DOES bring the storm! I am an avid and efficient shooter, my skills really shine while its in my hands. Zeus would be stricken with envy. Something called to me as well about this gun, and after trying several out at firing ranges I couldn't get the seductive calls from this Italian beauty out of my head. I will in no way put down the CZ P-10 or any CZ firearms for that matter. They have all performed well and with out any complaint during use. For concealed carry, the Storm does need a little tweaking....the release levers stick out rather far...if you replace them with the low profile you will still need to purchase a plug for the off hand side as it will leave a hole. (Nice Job Beretta). The de-cockers are hip gougers! Easily fixed with the stealth style, type G i believe and or but highly recommend the fitted holster from Beretta made for this gun. Ive also had the no loop hammer installed on mine for no snag draw. Don't forget some Talon Grips to secure that feeling of confidence that she wont be leaving out on you anytime during the action. With all that said, the Beretta PX4 Storm is a very nice overshadowed and underrated pistol that performs at the top of its class and turns heads when she comes out to play...and you WILL want to play!
As a carry gun I prefer my Beretta PX4 Storm compact in 40S&W. You can buy a Wilson Combat competition hammer spring set for the Beretta 92 and it fits just fine. Brings the DA to about 8 lbs and the SA to 3lbs. I of course polished the barrel throat, changed the mag button around with a paper clip to make it completely ambidextrous and installed some FDE Rubber Talon grips on it. Perfect carry gun with 12+1 rounds of Underwood ammo and 14+1 for the reload. Don't get me wrong CZ P01 Omega is an awesome weapon but for actual practicality the PX4 Storm all day.
I've owned the Beretta Full size PX4 STORM in 9mm for probably well over a decade now,it's by far my favorite semi Auto,I like it just a hair above my 1911.
I have both the full size in .40 and sub compact in 9mm. I bought the 40 first. I tried several different models at the range before deciding. I am happy with my decision. I bought the 9mm subcompact for conceal carry. I do wish the sub had the rotating barrel but the familiarity of layout was a plus. I prefer having a safety and double/single action. I did replace the slide return springs with a stainless unit and am looking at option for triggers. I also like the subs movable pinky grip. I recommend it for the carry magazine and spare.
I have a PX4 and i love it, never has malfunctioned one time, very accurate and stays clean inside, some pistols dont as you probably know. Out of the box 5000 target rounds before i cleaned it and it was still relatively clean inside,i bought it for carry so i wanted to know if i could trust it, i trust my life on my PX4 STORM. With well over 20k rounds over the last 4 years and its never failed to fire I recommend this pistol. Second shots are easily made accurately and all that follow, because the pistol handles fantastically at rapid fire. P.s. Buy pistols you shoot good naturally #1 rule, not names or because it looks cool, If your life Depends on your purchase make a smart choice not an impulsive one.
@@breed4659 I find the PX4's Italian design incredibly appealing - in fact, it drew me to purchase my first PX4. However, you're not alone in your opinion... Nutnfancy was not particularly drawn to its design either, but he loved it when he finally decided to review it. In fact, the title of his review was, "The Ugly Duckling That Can"... check it out! :)
Being new to pistols, I bought the Beretta compact even though I thought it was an ugly mother, but not as ugly as the ubiquitous Glock. I love my Beretta!
Great video as always. My love for Beretta has exploded! Sold the SP01, P01 and P10c in favor of the APX, LTT PX4 compact carry and the 92x g centurion.
Could you do a comparison between PX4 Storm Compact and the Bersa TPRC9? I'm really interested to see how they would compare. Thanks for your great work.
Great video. I have a PCR and recently purchased the PX4 compact. I am living in compact heaven. I was a long time Glock fanboy and would not consider anything else. I guess better late than never. 👍🏽
KSGunguy..... Thank you for doing this review. Last week I purchased the Beretta APX in .40 S&W and I love it And immediately started to look at PX4 Storm for my future purchase. Now I need to get some sweet Italian ammo. I am starting to drool now.
A note about decockers and the triggers on these guns: I have a PX4 full size inox and I also own a CZ75 urban grey (omega trigger). As far as triggers go, the omega is no where nearly as smooth as the Beretta. In stock configuration both triggers are comparable and heavy. The omega trigger has a lighter single action but there is notable creep(to activate the firing pin safety). I even upgraded my omega trigger with Cajun gun works internals (13 lb hammer spring, extended firing pin, reduced power firing pin spring, reduced power trigger return spring, DA roller, sear spring) and its noticeably improved (DA about 7-8 lbs, SA 3-4 lbs, not accurate just an estimate). Still noticeable creep in single action. CZ decockers drop the hammer into the half cock position which i don't like and the position of the decocker on the frame with the omega trigger system is in a bad spot for me with my grip. I do like the option of being able to switch between manual safety and decocker with the omega trigger system though. That being said I prefer to have my omega with the manual safety instead of the decocker. Not the safest way to have it because to decock I have to pull the trigger and manually put the hammer down. Or just leave it in single action with the manual safety on (not how i like to carry). The Beretta trigger is heavy in double action and a little longer than the omega trigger. The single action is also a bit heavier than the omega trigger and in single action there is more slack(to activate the firing pin safety). However the Beretta is smoother and crisp. I upgraded my PX4 with the competition trigger group from Beretta, 11 lb hammer spring and steel guide rod. Its so much smoother and lighter than the omega trigger. I don't have a trigger pull scale but it feels like the DA is between 6.5-7.5 lbs and SA between 3.5-4 lbs (not accurate just an estimation) Both trigger systems are good and have their benefits. I favor the Beretta because IMO it has a better trigger and the slide mounted decocker. When you decock on the Beretta it drops the hammer all the way down. When decocking the firing pin plunger moves completely out of the way and the hammer drops on the frame safely with the firing pin block still in place(100% safe). Both are good guns and i recommend both of them and you can't go wrong with either of them. The CZ is prettier and the Beretta is pretty ugly. Buy what you like/want. Great review KSGunGuy!
Good video. I’ve owned my px4 compact for bout five years now and have put hundreds/probably 3,000 rounds thru it at the range. Such a smooth and accurate firearm. Try shooting a couple mags of an mp shield or sig 365 and then pick up and shoot the px4 compact. Honestly, it’s night and day how smoother the Beretta is. While I’m still wanting to go smaller and lighter with either the mentioned pistols, I’m still carrying my px4.
Tony76 This is good to know. I have a Shield in 40 cal and the 9mm conversion barrel and think it kicks like a little mule. Just picked up the PX4 full size and am hoping the recoil will be much reduced due to it size and the rotary barrel.
I have both the CZ75D PCR and the PXStorm 9MM. PX Storm has 17 round mag and CZ has 16 round extended mag (maybe 17 round). I have several CZ’s, and had a Beretta 92 but did not like. Both are great guns, but the Beretta has less muzzle flip. I just purchased the PXStorm, but initial shots have been very impressive and accurate!
I see alot of VA Hospital Police where I go in Cali carrying the PX4 Storm and also many Federal Police in Mexico carry them too and the 92s so they must work well against the criminals and cartels there
I do a comparison every time I go to the range with my friend who has the PX4 Storm, I have the P-01. Both are great shooters you can't lose with either one.
I have a CZ 75 pcr and the PX 4 storm and they are 2 different pistols but that would be a tough choice right now if I had to pick one it would be the CZ for me.
The Px4 is such a smooth, flat firing, low recoil weapon. I love it. The rotating barrel is off putting but there is a huge benifit to it. I watch people shoot it and never fail to notice how little the muzzle lifts when fired. It makes target reacquisition a chince. I put the smaller backstrap along with a excellent Pachmeyer grips on it. It makes the handle grippy and comfortable. I don't mind the "bat wings" of the safety. I want to feel it if I engage or disengage it.
The cz safety sticks out alittle too much.. the pistol looks good and feels good though.. I’ve shot both and I’m partial the the Beretta which shot tighter groups
Great review KS, Milos is a great guy...he is responsible for makes my CZ's look even better. Mix/matching grips/base plates/triggers are fun, and very functional as they are made for the CZ/Sigs etc. Have a great day.
13:15 Does the slide rail set up (whether the slide wrap-around the frame or the other way, like on the CZ's) have anything to do with how low the bore axis is? To me it doesn't. It's like a car can be front wheel drive or RWD, but how much ground clearance it has is another design element, and has nothing to do with which axle is powered :)
@RayGunz the whole reason I bought the the CZ is because its hammer fired and I do not trust striker fired for a rnd in chamber. I should have went with a Sig or a Beretta..DA/SA
@@Rotorflyr - Sorry for the confusion, failed to state, I should stated I initially should have bought a CZ for carry gun. Just for the record, I love my CZ, and shoot it more than the others I own. Only issue I have is finding a IWB holster for it - CZ75-P01 with the rail on it.
Seems to me the Px4 makes more sense as it is more durable (no slide stop breakage issues), no trigger slap issues that all too many CZ 75 pistols have, is easier to strip down, is more conducive to IWB carry with the flatter/smoother grip, and is softer shooting. The P-01 looks a lot nicer, feels better in the hand, while the metal frame feels more solid, but that is not enough IMO. The Px4 is no good with silencers due to the rotating barrel, but the short recoil browning system on the P-01 is not so great for silencers either, so I would get a Beretta 92 variant if I wanted to fit a silencer as they work great with them (92X Compact).
Do u have any knowledge as to when the mag capacity changed to 15...and also, when and how the tritium sights changed?...I just picked this gun up last week. .it came with two 15 round mags...the front sight is completely dark..won't illuminate...kinda bummed
Awesome videos man I when to the gun store by me looking for a cz 75 p01 omega and they didnt have this gun so they try to sell me a glock of course. But he said he con odder one for me my question is it's this gun good as a ccw or is it to big .honestly I want something for home protection that i can carry when i go night fishing and so forth
I didn't realize Kansas is part of the European drought. In the southeast, we've had a very wet summer. I'm worried about gators coming up from the Okefenokee Swamp (LOL). BTW, Brian Kemp won the runoff for November to be the Republican gubernatorial candidate in GA. He's the one who had AR-15s in his commercials that snowflakes couldn't get banned from TV (political commercials are still protected). 2A! 👍 Great comparison as usual.
Haha! A drought for sure, but still in the confines of the boarders. Great to hear about Kemp! That’s one more step... Thank you as always and cheers Frank!
PX4 for the win! everyone that shoots my compact carry has loved it, highly underrated gun. Also Langdon is working with Beretta on a rerelease of the PX4 with a red dot option and some other "APX" features from what Beretta told me at NRAAM
That sounds very interesting! I wonder how they will do the red dot with the little tab that sticks up at the back of the slide. Will be cool to see. Thank you and cheers!
Nice comparison as like you say both good guns...I love those CZ's for some reason but I always lean towards the metal/steel/alum over poly as I guess I am just stuck in the 80's...LOL...Good stuff...
I love CZ but for me PX-4 Storm with grip tape and a couple upgrades is amazing shooter and with the type G is nice. For me the grip on it naturally pulls the sights back on target. Biggest issue for me is CZ I love the P07 and I'm not as much a fan of the P01 while they are nice. I prefer CZ75 in a full size. I think it's a little unfair comparing a stock PX-4 with the Omega P01 when it's the tactical model adding all those features. Also lock grips on it. I agree if you are right handed and don't have CX-4 the Omega P01 makes sense. However the Beretta PX-4 brings more to the table.
Excellent points and I see where you are coming from. As for the comparison between the two, I set up this series with no limits or rules in terms of the firearms featured. Comparing the Omega to the Px4, while different, make for an interesting matchup. The P07 would have been another great choice. Either way, they are both great firearms and have been a lot of fun to test. Thank you and cheers!
Another great “If I Could Only Have One” video KS! I’m leaning more towards the CZ P01, and when I do get my own, not soon enough, it’ll be the P 01 Omega. I haven’t tried the curved CZ trigger yet, but I am used to the Omega trigger from my P 09. So many CZ’s.....never enough $$$ LOL
It’s tough to beat the Osage. They really run well. If you find the regular curved version, you can swap it out for an 85 combat trigger and a few springs which will really dial it in. Thank you and cheers!
Oh sweet, that’s definitely another possibility I hadn’t thought about. Thank you for that though, I will definitely do that if I can’t score the P-01 Omega!
I notice the same thing. The ejection was a lot less positive and sometimes come back to the shooter. A video the Honest Outlaw did on the PX4 his wife was shooting it and it went right down her top. However she still liked the feel of the Beretta. I guess the good news is that the softer more irregular ejection patterns doesn't affect reliability!
I know this video is 5 years old but I have to say that the PX4 Storm Compact Carry with some LTT upgrades is sold by Beretta now. I also own a P-01 and with the new Compact Carry by Beretta, there is no comparison. If you haven't yet, I suggest trying the new PX4 Storm Compact Carry or even the Gen2 of that CC. Simply incredible. Dare I say it might even be the greatest handgun in the world???!!!!! Yikes, Tall order, but maybe.
Most people have a preference for the non-hooked trigger of the Omega trigger system. Now myself, I prefer a trigger bar shoe to a single sided trigger bar on a hammer-fired gun. Trigger shoes can be swapped out to fit preferences. BTJM
It seems that there is just a little less travel from the reset to the break on the Omega so I shoot it a little better. That said, the Phantom was awesome and it has the hooked trigger. Either way, they are top notch guns. Thank you and cheers James!
KSGunGuy You know you can have that reset adjusted on the Phantom. I've shortened up the reset on my Sar B6Pc. Which is a poly frame CZ and one of my favorite 9mm edc guns.
KSGunGuy Well it's not a hard mod. If you own a set of calipers, a vice and some good course & fine files you can do it yourself. I plan to shorten up the reset on a couple of other CZ clones I tend to carry. I may even swap the trigger shoe out on 1 or 2.
So hard to choose between these two. I wonder how a DPM Recoil Management System would improve the CZ P01. Apparently it’s also available for the PX4 Compact Carry as well. The recoil reduction would be even more insane. 🤯 I wish CZ made a similar handgun with a rotating barrel design. Best of both worlds.
KSGunGuy *always. Holy crap. Auto correct fail! I feel like I'd be cheating if I edited the comment. I think I'll let it go because it's at least somewhat funny.
I like the px4 but will change the sights soon I’m buying the px4 compact the 15 rd clip in a compact is awesome I think it is the max here in Illinois . I have put over 500 rds and not a single problem on the px4 though the factory giving you two 10 rd clips stinks we can’t get any thing over 15 Illinois stinks some times.
These are two of my favorite commercial compact 9mms on the market. I prefer the Beretta for carry, and the CZ for home defense, but both are fantastic for the price. The Omega and Compact Carry versions of the CZ and Beretta respectively gets you great guns for the price. Both are criminally overlooked, though I hear getting an Omega variant of the P01 is hard these days.
😅 I edit them down to reduce dead space. figure i'll get you guys more info in less time. watch my live chats, i dont talk NEARLY that fast in real life ;-)
I dont have to choose. I kinda have both. 😂 px4 storm full size and a Tangoglio witness. Love both. Id love a bastard child of the 2 of them. The rotating barrel of the beretta and the low bore axis/lighter reciprocating slide of the cz. If it could be done, that would be a butter smooth low recoiling pistol. I'd hope.
Hi, does anyone know how I can get a Beretta into UK? I always wanted one, purely for self defence, home protection. But our stupid UK law stands in the way.
I own the full size PX 4 Storm and it's quite a shooter. Mild recoil and accurate. I don't own a CZ P-01 Omega and comparing my CZ 2075 Rami BD to the Beretta wouldn't be fair to the CZ. A huge plus here for the Beretta is I own a CX-4 Storm Carbine and it uses the same magazine as the PX-4 Storm. I can see where having a carbine and a pistol using the same magazine's is a huge plus. Yes Cz has the Scorpion but the magazine's?
Excellent points C! I’ve really had a great time with the Beretta, no doubt. For me though, the CZ reigns in my hands. I definitely have to give it to you about the mags, well played my friend! Thank you as always and cheers!
I put springs and extended filing pin ON my P01 and boy 6lbs DA and 3lbs SA smooth as butter and reset much faster.it surprised my buddy.i used CGW on it.
(Just remember, it’s not difficult to swap these out 😉):
• FREE - a relatively simple & quick operation will convert the PX4 to G-type (decocker only). ...really just removing a ball bearing from the lever.
Other good/cheap (and quick) mods:
#3) Talon Grips - Talons just work.
I love them too
I love seeing the px4 getting some love recently from various channels. Has been such an underrated and dare say not k own about gem in the gun industry for a long time.
Used PX4 especially in the 40 cal flavor are very reasonably priced. The 40 recoils like a 9 which is an added bonus.
The slide on the px spits hatred on my hands. Not a fan lol
Cz all day for me, great video man
Well said brother! Thank you and cheers as always!
Just bought a P-01 and so so on board...fantastic gun and my new edc stock
( I too am no professional shooter )
This one is a keeper for me. I also like its looks but that on all pistols or anything else is just an O P I N I O N ( personal preference )
VERY WELL DONE VIDEO.
That’s awesome! They are excellent guns for sure. Not sure about 150k rounds without changing springs and such, but who knows. Thank you and cheers!
A comparison I'd love to see would be comparing a cajunized CZ P01 to a Elite LTT Compact with the trigger upgrade provided by Langdon Tactical
We brought these both to the range the other day and shot them... he traded his in for a P01 the next week 😆
beretta bringing the STORM!!! 🌩🌩🌩⚡⚡
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
PX4 Storm all day...
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
Excuse me man of God
So all you do it's just replace the back spring right?
@@matarazzo209 yes just replace the backstrap spring or in more technical terms the hammer strut spring

@RayGunz
I love my PX4 .45 but I have to admit, those P07's and P09's are sweet. I'm gonna add one to my collection soon.
Youre joking about the looks right? That gun looks hideous. I wouldnt have that eyesore in my holster if you paid me
Yeah no. The PX4 is not a better looking gun in my opinion. It really ugly looking but to each his own.
Apx replaced your p10c ? Interesting

Could you do a comparison between PX4 Storm Compact and the Bersa TPRC9? I'm really interested to see how they would compare. Thanks for your great work.
Definitely cz for me 😍
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
I don't have a trigger pull scale but it feels like the DA is between 6.5-7.5 lbs and SA between 3.5-4 lbs (not accurate just an estimation)
Both trigger systems are good and have their benefits.
Great info and thank you for sharing! Thank you and cheers
Great review, having shot your storm, I would pick the P-01 as well! Thanks for the great SO 👊🏼, Carry On
Thank you as always and cheers Big J!
Should have been a comparison between with the Beretta PX4 compact carry and the CZ P01 omega or stock Beretta PX4 compact vs stock CZ P01.
I have them both as well. its a tuff, I'm going to say the Beretta because of the smooth shooting impulse feel.
You're channel was so awesome . Best gun reviews . It sucks that you don't make videos anymore . Hope you are doing well 💥💥💥 .
I've been bitten by the CZ virus. Lol. Great video brother. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much 101! Not a bad bug to get bit by, lol. Cheers brother!
Just got the P-01 (before seeing this vid comparison). I love it. However, now am intrigued by the PX4.... LOL
I see alot of VA Hospital Police where I go in Cali carrying the PX4 Storm and also many Federal Police in Mexico carry them too and the 92s so they must work well against the criminals and cartels there
Very interesting! Thank you and cheers!
You know the cartels are winning ,right?
I do a comparison every time I go to the range with my friend who has the PX4 Storm, I have the P-01. Both are great shooters you can't lose with either one.
Well said Keanon! I completely agree. Thank you and cheers!
Love you videos great information Happy Thanksgiving
The Beretta can be disassembled by simply pulling both tabs down simultaneously then removing the slide by pulling it forward
I actually talk about that in the video. Thanks
The cz safety sticks out alittle too much.. the pistol looks good and feels good though.. I’ve shot both and I’m partial the the Beretta which shot tighter groups
How bout doing the P07 vs P01 if I could only Keep One. I'd be interested to see if your impression of the two is the same as mine.
Great review KS, Milos is a great guy...he is responsible for makes my CZ's look even better. Mix/matching grips/base plates/triggers are fun, and very functional as they are made for the CZ/Sigs etc. Have a great day.
Thank you very much Turbo and I agree about Milos! Having some fun options definitely turns it up a notch. Cheers!
Beretta hands down, I have the PX4 Storm Compact Carry model and I absolutely love it, I admit I'm a huge Beretta Fanboy lol.
That’s awesome! Thank you and cheers!
@RayGunz wow, I paid 399.00 for my p×4 compact and love it!
As much as i love my 92, i really dont even consider it a decision between the storm and the P-01.
CZ for this fella

CZ for sure for me. I got a chance at the PX4 and liked it ok but I prefer the P01 myself. Thanks KS 👍
Thank you Youngguns! It’s tough to beat the P-01 for sure. Cheers brother!
CZ = Great Choice! I love my CZ P-01 and P-06. Great video KS!
Thank you very much SPPG! Cheers brother!
I put a silicon grip (from Bass Pro Shop - $14) on PX4 Storm compact. Works great!

The PX4 Compact Carry is much nicer than the standard model.
@RayGunz the whole reason I bought the the CZ is because its hammer fired and I do not trust striker fired for a rnd in chamber. I should have went with a Sig or a Beretta..DA/SA
@@adubeauify
Why? What is it about the CZ you aren't happy with?
@@Rotorflyr - Sorry for the confusion, failed to state, I should stated I initially should have bought a CZ for carry gun. Just for the record, I love my CZ, and shoot it more than the others I own. Only issue I have is finding a IWB holster for it - CZ75-P01 with the rail on it.
@@adubeauify
Are you searching for leather, kydex or hybrid style holsters?
@@Rotorflyr Hybrid or Leather would work..
Thank you for pointing out the trigger slap in CZs. That's a deal breaker for me.
I actually prefer the PX4 Storm special Duty. Uses the 45 ACP
Do u have any knowledge as to when the mag capacity changed to 15...and also, when and how the tritium sights changed?...I just picked this gun up last week. .it came with two 15 round mags...the front sight is completely dark..won't illuminate...kinda bummed
Handled a PX4 compact. Gonna get it. CZ is good with a bunch of work or if you buy a high end one. For SD I hate the slide. No go.
I just purchased the PX4 in flat Dark Earth color at Cabela's

The P01 makes an excellent carry gun if you are looking for double action single action. Thank you and cheers!
Great comparison as usual.
KSGunGuy they do it on a couple APX models. I believe the just leave it short like everyone else (top of firing pin block safety).
That makes sense!
One of the most touchy-feely subjective gun reviews I've seen. Too bad I can't get my 24 minutes back.
Boo hoo.
Just picked up a CZ 75 P-01....it's a nice shooter!
Nice comparison as like you say both good guns...I love those CZ's for some reason but I always lean towards the metal/steel/alum over poly as I guess I am just stuck in the 80's...LOL...Good stuff...
Thank you very much Scott! I completely understand where you are coming from. That extra weight can be a real advantage. Cheers brother!
PX4 all the way! Except for the side straps. I REALLY wish Beretta would change this from the factory.
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
Awesome! Keep me posted.
I noticed the irregular ejection pattern on the Beretta. Could it be due to its rotating barrel?
I notice the same thing. The ejection was a lot less positive and sometimes come back to the shooter.
A video the Honest Outlaw did on the PX4 his wife was shooting it and it went right down her top. However she still liked the feel of the Beretta. I guess the good news is that the softer more irregular ejection patterns doesn't affect reliability!
I have a Px-4 Storm . Really a great hand gun 👍
Owned? what happened to it?
Excellent Great review!
What sights do you have on the CZ?
Both great pistols, but I’d still go with the CZ! Another great vid!
Thank you very much brother! I agree, they are both great. Cheers!
Completely agree!
Have you shot the regular P01? Was just wondering which trigger you preferred. Is the Omega trigger that much better
I’m actually having the SP-01 worked on as we speak. Can’t wait to test it out after the smithing. I’ll keep you posted!
I wish CZ made a similar handgun with a rotating barrel design. Best of both worlds.
I own the Px4 in both 45 acp and 40 s&w and love them both. I have not shot a CP P01 but I do like my Px4 over my FNP-45.
Great idea for CZ to give the option of decocker or safety. For me, it's the decocker hands down. That long , heavy trigger pull is safety enough.
Not haven't it on safe is going to get you hurt

I always wanted
one, purely for self defence, home protection. But our stupid UK law
stands in the way.
I thought a swappable safety came included with the Omega? That was why the word "convertible," is used. Maybe not.
This might be a dumb question, but, does the sp01 slide for in the p01?
Not that I am aware of. Thank you and cheers!
I haven't shot the CZ but now I really want to. Can't picture preferring it over the px4 cc for EDC but who knows!
I put springs and extended filing pin ON my P01 and boy 6lbs DA and 3lbs SA smooth as butter and reset much faster.it surprised my buddy.i used CGW on it.
Great comparison KS! What can did you get?
