Hi amazing playing and sound congrats! I have just got this kit I'm trying to get the same bass drum sound as yours in this video its thunderous! Please can I ask what batter head you are using and what type of Beater? I am about to order on an EMAD2 I also use an AKG D112 mic with a pillow and front port. ANy advice would really a help. Thanks in advance Best regards
Hi Gavin, thank you for checking out my Channel. I use a Remo White Suede Powerstroke3 as my Batter and a Sonor 2-sided beater (felt side). And the mic is a Shure Beta 52A
@@MatthiasKnorrMusic Hey thank you kindly for replying so quick! Your welcome loved the solo awesome! Thanks for the information I will check out the equipment I forgot to say my drum is 22"x18". Thanks again Matthias and a very Happy New Year to you!
Thanks, these Drums are the Absolute Hybrid Maple. I love them. The PHX is setup in my home studio. The Hybrid is my kit for gigs. Both kits sound Amazing.
The 22x16 has a bit more direct punch and a bit less sub lowend vs the 22x18 has massive lowend and sounds a bit warmer. But with mics you can still get a lot of sub lows out of that 22x16. I actually got my PHX with the 22x18 only because it was already build exactly how I wanted it besides that 22x18 and I was lucky to get the kit after 2 weeks of waiting only. Otherwise I would have ordered my PHX with a 22x16 also.
righteous brother! I like how the crowd stood up to catch what you were doing :)
Nice job bro! Nice touch, flow , dynamics and creativity 🙂👍🥁 Thanks for sharing 👍
thanks for checking out this performance. It was a fun gig
a drummer who, not only, knows how to entertain but who also knows great equipment - bravo
thank you! Yes I really love Yamaha Drums & Paiste Cymbals
Yamaha absolute and absolutely skilled playing!
Beautifully played melodic drum solo! The drums so nicely tuned, sounds gorgeous too.
I just can't believe how good this solo was. It's like Weckl going to town on 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. You are very talented.
thank you very much :-)
Excellent, merci pour le partage ;-)
Bro your content is amazing 😁👍🏾 so inspired keep up the great work
I think those Paiste cymbals will sound even better with age.
Damn Dope Drum Solo!
Thank You!
great sound!
Thank You! This was just recorded with two Rode NT55 Overheads, Shure SM57 on the Snare and a Beta 52 for Kick. Nothing else

At only 28 years old, he plays great 👍
Woah! That's a pretty killer solo there! Ending fill is a bit like Weckl. You should make an album man!
Thank You man! I will try to get some music together for a complete Album
He has taken lessons from Dave, in fact, if I'm not mistaken.
Can you show as any exercise that amazing laft hand?

Awesome playing my friend. What snare are you finessing?
Thank You Abel! The Snare I play in this Video is the Yamaha Recording Custom 14x5.5 Aluminum.
That Yamaha is amazing, they're the first and the best drums I have ever played, is that an Absolute Hybrid Maple, or a Phoenix?

What is your opinion on your 22x16 ahm kick va a 22x18. I am tryin to decide between the two. Thank you
