Nothing worked for me too. I tried one method that worked. Install ps4 remote play app on your phone. Open that app and click link to ps4.it will take few seconds and ps4 will be connected and your ps4 home screen will be displayed on your phone and can be controlled by your phone. Go to ps4 settings and devices and Bluetooth devices and delete existing controllers from your phone. When all controllers will be deleted then press ps4 button and share button of your controller at the same time and your controller will blink and your controller name will be shown on ps4 screen of your phone requesting to connect. Just connect and it's done

Change the charging cord !! I had the same issue, used a high quality charging cord and it solved all my issues !!! Hope this helps !!

@@dancewithmepau8248 if your controller is dead then yes but a regular android charger will charge it up and can use it for usb as well:
Like my mans said use a needle or tac needle and press the reset button for about 5 seconds and it should turn on and connect but yes usb to connect to ps4 if it doesn’t automatically connect.

resetting the console works temporarily, but after a few minutes the controller disconnects again. when i plug the controller into the console, the light turns yellow for a second then turns off completely. ive tested with 3 different USB cables. is my controller just shot? going to test it with a spare controller to see but idk what else it could be

@@11lamineyamal yes I just kept trying. Eventually it worked. Just make sure its disconnected from your pc (i clicked forget device) and when you hook it up to ps4 make sure the orange "charging" light comes on before you press the power button on the controller

Go to System->Devices->Bluetooth . Then hold two buttons on the controller together (SHARE+PLAYSTATION BUTTON). Your controller should appear on the screen. Then just rename it and you can play. Hope this helps :)

Thanks. My problem ended up being 4 or 5 bad micro USB cables. That's why my PS4 wouldn't recognize my controllers. Finally was about to give up when I found a decent looking one and tried it and sure enough the controller finally synced.
