Approaching 10,000 miles on mine and still going strong. My dual battery setup took care of the range. I rode 92 miles 1/2 on pas 3 then rode back on pas 4 and still showed 2 bars over the 1/2. I did make some mods like chain ring change and freewheel upgrade. The rest is stock. Overall the bike has been awesome.😀

All those miles on the stock seat post with no rear suspension? That's probably the first thing I'd hafta upgrade, but love the idea of a dual battery setup for it, I'm stuck between one of these and a Roadrunner V2, bout the same max speed and range, only the roadrunner be more compact and easier to take into places with me, but the torque on this bike looks incredible and has me debating

Peace be with you! Your channel is soo much fun to watch! Thank you for reviewing the Philodo. Recently I've learned of an ebike company, E-Street Bikes, who offer high powered ebikes. E-Street Bikes sells 2-Moped Style ebikes, the Street Swiper (Hard tail) and the Tempest Dual Battery (Soft tail). The manufacturer is claiming that their motor - single motor - output is 1500W Continuous 5000w peak (52 V 35A Integrated Speed Controller)! Perhaps E-Street Bikes can ship you a review unit. Thanks again.

After a lipo battery fire roasted my 96 chevy truck interior, I decided to buy one of these instead of a new truck. (I plan to rebuild the truck this spring since the fire didn't get into the dash or engine compartment.)
Since I live less than 3 miles from work this bike seemes like a great solution! I'm also kinda stoked to not constantly feed that 5.9 dinosaur juice guzzler!
From all the videos I've seen I think I'm gonna love it!
I also fly FPV drones and I'm extremely excited to fly many of the local locations I simply can't drive to in my truck!
I paid about $1500 (with tax) and it gets here this Friday!

@@DropkickDemonI ordered an aluminium bracket from aliexpress that goes under the battery mount, and it has screw holes for the mount. With this bracket you can add 2 tube clamps to make The battery mounting way more sturdy. I had to place the secondary controller behind the saddle, because the bracket added a bit of extra height and lifted the battery up about 2cm. With The original placement of the secondary controller it was quite difficult to remove the battery without fear of bending a battery contact or causing too much strain to the controller wires.

@@mikec4308 That scenario only happens if you use the throttle all the time, this bike is designed to be pedaled. and under PAS only the rear motor is active, the AWD kicks in under throttle, so most of the time you're only powering one motor, which does wonders for range. I personally have gotten 30 miles out of it in PAS 4 while pedaling. with battery still left. I do a daily 13 mile commute that only uses one bar of the battery meter. at the same PAS 4 (25 mph) speed. I save PAS 5 for when I need it as even pedaling it will hit 32 mph ... 35 with throttle and AWD.

Thanks for the great review, after a couple of years of trying to figure out which one of these things I'm going to get and finally have the money to get it this is it. This fat tire Electric bicycle has a positive 2000/4000 and 5000 review from a guy on TH-cam. The only thing that went wrong at 4,000 miles was a reflector came off of one of the pedals. 2-year warranty and supposedly the support is responsive. It's currently selling for $400 off the list price of 1899 dollars with free shipping. The first modification I'm going to get or addition to it is the shock absorber spring seat which he said completely changed his riding experience for the better. I learned that you don't want a rear suspension on an e-bike because even the most expensive rear suspension Monoshock style are prone to worn-out bushings and just wear out from all of the abuse. And it's not just the shock absorber bushings that connect to the frame component it's also the other bushings that are part of the bicycle the frame itself that the shock is not attached to. I'll be honest and say that there are other better looking bikes but for the price and the warranty and the reviews I don't care about the looks. I need this to get back and forth to work.

Triple chain ring, beyond being useless, is bad for using up handle bar and putting +/- out of reach. Non-integrated battery and controllers , bad too. Front one won't last long offroad. You need a motor switch ideally that allows front wheel alone too. Battery is ok. 5 seconds 0-20, maybe 4 seconds with pedalling is a great use of power. You can cut off a lot of traffic with that, and 5 seconds at 2000w is as much power as 10 seconds at 1000w, so you get places much faster, without having to cruise above 20mph to get good range.
There are a lot of used bikes that could be modded up into this bike. Once you decide on heavy instead of light, direct drive motors are the way to go. Though I like their balance decisions this bike made.
Great review. Loved your hill climb attempts. Definitely shows the value of dual motor (sand performance also due to dual motor mostly). Would have loved to see you try and use that small chain ring to pedal up that monster.
A fun, or video, idea for you would be something around that hill. Same or other bikes with pedaling. e-mtb workout fun.

The H8 has cruise control and you can adjust the power availibility in the program PO8. This bike is not really for pedaling Its like a Caddy if you add a seat shock. Range is about 20 miles full out at 25 to 34.7 mph and hills are climbed easily. the best way to get range and perfomance is to run at 25mph and let your momentum carry you and pulse the throttle to maintain speed and you will get about 30mph. The best way to check your range is by looking at your voltage, a full charge is 54.9 volts and will go down around 42 volts. A full charge coupled with a positive mental attitude will yield much fun!

@TailHappyTV I think you should do a quick re-review of this bike with controller setting P14 changed from the default 12 Amps which limits both motors to 575 Watts, to either a more reasonable 20 amps (960 watts per motor) which I set my bike to or even 25 amps (the controller rating) which would allow 1200 watts per motor. It might be capable of more but the battery is limited to a 50 amp draw 25 amps from each motor. It won't affect top speed since that RPM limited but should make a difference in acceleration, hill climbing and in sand performance

But once I have two batteries of 48V 22.4 AH (each) in place, it will be time to bump it back to 35 MPH and higher controller current. @soonerthebetter2361 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

No, it is back wheel only in pedal assist. And both wheels when using the throttle. I've tested it all out. I can drive around with the throttle using the rear wheel while the front motor is unplugged. Also, PAS is disengaged when using the throttle. I have been driving around in PAS and it would quit working. It has always been that I had my throttle ever so slightly turned. It was enough to kill PAS but not enough to engage motors with the throttle. I would release the throttle and PAS returns after a second or so if I had kept pedaling.
I like it like this. I use pedal assist mostly. The 1000w motor handles most everything. Tough hills, fast starts, and dogs are the reasons that I mostly use the throttle(both motors).

AWD isn't something I really need in my terrain. Some of the routes I take require riding some gravel. That front tire spin in a gravel corner would be sketchy to me. The Wired Freedom is working out good for me! One caveat- the Wired is a BIG bike. Website says Freedom fits down to 5'4", but I'm about 5'8" and i'm on my very tippy-toes with the seat fully dropped. Don't discount the benefits of an AWD bike as simply gift for sand. The biggest benefit I found is for AWD is acceleration. Your getting a cheap ebike that accelerates from 0-30 at the rate as many much more expensive higher power ebikes. Though the top ends not as powerful, having a bike that can accelerate that important 0-30mph quickly is really really helpful when riding on the road.

I just bought this bike and it's pretty powerful, helps me get on the road at decent speeds without feeling like I'm holding down the traffic too much. Also helps me go up and down some really steep roads with little effort. Only asking cause I'm still within the return period and wouldn't mind returning this for a cheaper one that does the same job

I'm not sure you will find a cheaper one like this one, I've checked several times. I have one also and I'm not sending it back ,don't have a good place to ride traffic is terrible! No respect for bike riders! We have bike trails but you have to drive long ways to get to them.

Ive got a very similar bike just under a different brand. And with mine the both motors are on when you use throttle. If you only use peddle assist, then only the rear motor engages. Im guessing its the same on this bike

Keteles and SMLRO are 95% the same bike as the PHILODO. It alone is Much cheaper than a Wired.
The cheapest price for the SMRLO is at $1150. shipped,
When compared to the Wired $2500 with insurance, shipping, taxes, $1350 difference between the two.

Thanks for the review. A few weeks back I asked you about your thoughts on this Philodo H8 bike in comparison to the Wired Freedom bike and at that time you said that you really like the all wheel drive bikes but that you could not do a comparison because you had not had a chance to ride the Philodo. Now that you have had the chance to ride both of them what are your thoughts on a comparison with respect to power, speed, distance, etc. Thanks in advance! Keep up the great work!!

wired freedom is way more polished and rides way nicer with full suspension and lighter unsprung mass having just one motor. the new upgraded suspension is going to be a game changer for the entire industry. the 60v has more pep on a full charge and also feels stronger deeper into the battery, aka when they get down to 50%

@@TailHappyTV Hey sir, can I buy or rent the Wired Freedom 2024 bike off of you? Or can you find a way to get a new one from wired? I'll buy it for up to $3000 because the supplier told me they're out and cannot help me.
I have a big trip planned across the country and back and would really appreciate having it as I'm not rich enough to buy another beefy bike AND purchase the preorder. My trip is a long way from mid January.
And is there a better way I can contact you? I'd do close to anything man, even fly all the way to you.
      Thank you man.

Sorry to say but you have no comprehensive idea about what this bike really is. It is a powerhouse monster made to climb and to go fast and accellerate even on slopes and it is made to eat away rough terrains like none. You consume all the battery quite fast IF you throttle all the way, but not if you just go with pedal assist. I have this thing, the white version, quite modified by myself... a treasure. I think very few bikes can handle mountain and or slope like this one. The size and the weight grant much more stability than those flimsy little one motor only bicicle I see everywhere. Plus... throttle is like NITRO here :-) I'm very happy about this thing.

Out of curiosity, are most of the e-bike people bikers in general? As a skater I never got into biking. Dirt biking sure, but I’d go do trails in Sundance when I was younger. Only to get out of the house. I moved to a small small small small small town less than 50 people. There’s so many ways to go around to the mountains. Can’t wait to explore and have fun in the snow with this. Debating on a battery for just in case, and also debating on buying 2 more tires so I can stud them and go have fun in the frozen lakes :p

im not even getting 20 miles to a charge on mine, ive got 2, the other one gets 25 miles and thats really putting it at the end. ive had the bike about 4 months so idk if philodo will do anything, ive put close to 200 miles on mine and at worst ive gotten 8 miles. at best ive gotten 20. 25 if i use the other philodo bike battery both bought at the same time. wondering if we got a bad batch of batteries. psi is 15-18, weather in the 60's not really windy and not steep hills.
