After comparing the stats on over 30 bikes, the Philodo H8 is still in my top 2 for buying my first e-bike. The Ariel Kepler is also being considered, but since I want to do trails primarily, the dual motor bike seems the best choice.
I bought a H-8 a year ago and I just bought a second H-8 a week ago. I love the bike. I did change the tires out to some nice directional tires and when I bought my new H-8 last week I had to buy the new directional tires from the start it creates a whole new riding experience. I recommend this bike to anyone love it 👍😎
Fellow Michigander here, and I agree completely about the PAS. I have my bike setup with 10 PAS levels because I do a very wide variety of riding, and it's all dynamic current based which I love.
Looks like I was subscriber 100 😀 I commented once and it disappeared so I apologize if both show up. I have almost 5000 miles on mine and it is a blast. I changed my freewheel as I could not stand ghost peddling. Now I can peddle no matter how fast I go. I do have a video on my channel showing me changing it in 15 min, it is a real easy change and so worth it. I ride 50-60 miles a day. I am planning a dual battery setup so I can ride 100 miles a day if I want to. My wife asked my I ride so many miles, I say it makes me feel 16 again and I like that feeling. I also put a seat post suspension, and I wonder why I waited so long. I put almost 11k miles on my Hardtail Ecotric and wonder how I ever made it. Anyway, nice review. This bike is a blast to ride.
You were! Thank you so much for subscribing and so glad to hear this bike is working out so well for you. I will check out your video (Hoping you have parts linked) because I would love to get rid of ghost peddling! I absolutely agree with the fun and it making you feel young again! My only complaint is that I don't have more time to ride!
@@papablueshirt your the ambassador of philodo and now we know why. You seem to be a good fearing man, but yet people are getting scammed based on your reviews on this philodo company that doesn't exist in the USA . So good on you and I'm happy that now we all know that in all reality it's a Frankenstein bike. Everything is aftermarket and that's the only way this brand works.
I live in New York and I bought a AiPAS A2 as it’s a transformable from a Class 2 to a Class 3 and it’s completely foldable, plus it’s the same company that makes bikes for Lectric, just a whole lot cheaper.
I have this same bike as well for about a month now. I’d say the speed limitations is a little annoying if riding with friends. Their bike does 15mpg and I’m switching between pas 2 and 3 nonstop .
On mine ive gotten through a set of pads at 700km, headset replaced and extender fitted, gear cables stretched and put the headlamp up on the handlebars, the torque is pretty good compared to my 250w bike, I've been riding in all weather including frost and snow, for the money its great and very comfortable, if you find it starts making weird noises, mine has slightly warped rotors and the kick stand came loose......but love mine, it's a keeper like you said 👌
Thanks for your review. But did you skip mentioning it doesn't have any rear shocks? Was that a suspension seat you were using? I like a number of things about this bike, especially the price. But it seems a work in progress as the batteries and controllers are mounted outside the frame and rather vulnerable. Did you have to install the rear rack? Also I take it there's no option for using just the rear motor... And the range on the battery seems that it must be low. What kind of range have you been getting? I switched my regular ride to an Aniioki A8 because of the range failure of my Wallke H6. It's one of the first considerations in purchasing... I'd love to know more. Thank you for the effort and on your $$.
It has been a while since I made the video but I believe I mentioned that it only has front suspension. While hidden components or in frame components are really nice, they generally bump the price up. This is a good option where the price is manageable but you get a bike with solid performance and features. The range I quoted was worst case of using full throttle constantly. When you pedal, I believe it only uses one motor and you would be going slower and helping the bike instead of all on the electrical system. Doing this your range would increase dramatically.
What do you mean you have to straighten the bars? What if you have to drive drunk? Then you'll be pulling to the right...Great review. Looks exactly like the SMRLO bike and has the same specs I was looking at but the SMRLO bike now has full suspension. Allegedly, if you pedal the SMRLO bike only the rear motor comes on, with the throttle both motors come on, can you confirm this? It would be a good way to increase your range by just doing a little ghost pedaling once and a while.
I will see what I can do. I know when I hit the throttle, the front wheel spins so that does both motors. I will see what I can find out about pedaling but you are right, that would dramatically increase range. Slowing down a bit would as well. Maintaining 35 MPH draws a lot of power.
For Sure. I've seen it confirmed on other bikes with a different brand name. Usually they are all built at the same factory and just put whatever logo the reseller wants on there. I guess you could put the bike on the stand and tilt it and move the pedals to see if only the back wheel has power. Be sure to have it on level 1 so it doesn't go too crazy. Lol. I plan to buy the same bike but it's a "version 3" with a full suspension in the winter so I'll have it shipped to me by spring.@@LWTeBikeReviews
Thanks. This video helped me decide to purchase the Philodo H8. It arrived today and I am the process of assembling it. One question that remains unanswered is how is the power dain having front and back motors compared to just having a rear motor? And, is there a way to only use the rear motor if there is no need be using both, especially if the bike uses less power over the course of the same amount of miles (ie long flat road riding)?
My pleasure and hope the bike works great for you! I have not had a chance to test it, but I heard that throttle uses both tires but pedal assist only uses rear motor reducing power consumption. So, riding with the bike through has the potential to really increase range. Also, slowing down a bit will really help. I would test for ya but I have the bike in storage for the winter.
@@LWTeBikeReviews After reading the owners manual I discovered that the front motor only engages when using the throttle, and recommends using peddle assist to conserve the battery for longer rides. It appears this bike is sold by a few different brands with slightly different features. One brand has a button to engage\disenage the front motor and has rear suspension, otherwise the bikes are near identical. My general speculation is that there is a single manufacture that makes the bikes for resellers based on reseller's design specs.
For those who have it, I’m 6’0 dude that’s 265 (currently losing weight) I’m a student that has a loan on his head and I’m trying to save every dollar to pay it. I currently ride my manual mountain bike to work. My question is, should I lose the weight first or get it and lose the weight with the E-bike?
If the ride is manageable (distance) on your current bike, I would recommend sticking to that. You are going to get more exercise and considering exercise and saving money are your goals, I would put the work in with your bike. If the ride is farther where you talk your self out of it and drive, and the eBike may help you stick to riding a bike, then maybe you could justify it.
The totally screwed me over I bought 2 bikes and both had issues and I was ghosted by Philodo when i asked them to repair my new bikes. I had to take them to a local biike shop to get them fix at my own expence.
Sorry to hear that. I think this is the first comment stating a bad experience so hopefully this is not the norm, but I will pay attention to what others say.
Hi mate, can you set it up so PAS is on 0 or 1 and twist throttle on 5 - max, therefore allow for slow pedaling in the city and using throttle to accelerate when needed...cheers
I just put it in storage for the winter last night so I can’t test unfortunately! There are a lot of settings in the setup mode so maybe you can do something but not sure right now.
The minute I see the stem crooked I can tell its just to promote the bike and not a real review 😅. It's a great looking bike. Unfortunately for me it didn't work, with just 32 miles on it the back motor fail and the controller started tonget really hot giving me error E007 and E009. The motor started to make lots of weird noises and stop working. I love the frame and the feel of the bike. I live in a area with a lot of steep hills. Im 6' 238lbs the bike is supposed to be support up to 300 plus pounds. I returned it since i bought it through amazon. Im considering to give it another shot and repurchasing againg but I'm a bit hesitant.
Yeah, I very much regret that the stem is crooked but once I got to location with all my camera gear, I was stuck. Will not make that mistake again! I think I am approaching 100 miles so I have hardly put this bike to a long-term test but so far no issues. If you do think about buying it again at some point, feel free to reach out and I will let you know if I have run into issues over time.
@LWTeBikeReviews I'm kidding about the stem. I know you're trying to give your most hones review. Unfortunately for Philodo, they should've sent the stem tight and straight it was the same case for my bike the headset and stem became really lose without me realizing it. It's not a big deal for us who know how to fix that problem, but if they want their bikes to work out of the box that is something to consider. I loved the bike but I wasn't lucky enough I got a defective one. The customer service was willing to pay for the swap of the motor at my local bike shop and I was going to do it but then I noticed the controller under the bike was getting insanely hot and showed me a different error code doing my research I came to the conclusion the controller was also faulty. And I just sent it back, I really enjoyed the bike specially the frame and the breaks. This bike with better electronics would be a beast but you know what they say. You get what you pay for. I hope it serves you well and you don't run into any issues. I'd like to give it another shot, but for now I'm gonna keep watching videos on it and see if I come to the conclusion to re buy it. PEACE brother ✌️
@extemos6476 I could tell you were kidding. 😀 All good points. I will try to run it hard and put it to the rest. Hopefully your situation was a one off problem but who knows. I will keep my ears open and keep testing. Have a good one!
I just said the same thing, before scrolling through to find your review 🙃 I'm a retired PRO! IVE OWNED 3stores and built THOUSANDS of bikes. I built my own ebike for my retirement. He lost me, the second I saw the crooked handlebars! At any rate, there are cheaper options and they have internal routed wiring!
@brianm.armstrong70 I built it on a freezing day in February. Was 35 degrees in my garage and I was rushing but wanted to do it because I was excited. Didn’t touch it until weather changed and went out to shoot video without realizing it but was committed because I was at location with camera gear. Just an honest mistake. I fixed it later that day.
@glencastleberry8632 maybe, I can’t remember if it had a quick disconnect or not. I think most people were hoping for a button so they could easily control it while riding. That would be a cool feature.
Nice bike! I was toying with the idea of possibly getting this bike. I already have a 2-stroke gas bike that does 35mph so this E-bike interests me hence its quiet to hit bike trails with out worrying about getting pulled over by cops compared to my louder gas bike.
It is so much fun. I sold it to someone I know so I could buy another bike to review and they are absolutely loving it. Good all around bike and value.
I bought the Philodo C2 ebike. It's a good bike, i like it, but i have a problem. The stem/main pole under the handlebars keeps shifting to the right side. I know there’s a lever for adjusting it, but five minutes after adjust it, it shifts to the right again -every single time. Is there some other way to adjust the position of the stem/shaft so that it will stop moving to the right?
I knew someone would focus on the wrong part - its not that main lever at the top that was the problem. It was lower down at the bottom of the stem, a mechanic fixed it, so its fine now. But the makers shouldnt have send it to me loose like that in the first place. @@jamesyurky3048
I don't use pass that all I have it turned off or taken out on all my bike's I use the throttle and then I find cruise control if I want to peddle at a certain speed or comfortable
I'm in Michigan (too?) Interested in how this does in the snow. Also I noticed you have only one display. Does it follow that u have one controller? If so what brand controller? I have what looks like the same display. I have a niggle, no cruise control. Also only programmable up to p17 not p20 like others.
Have not tested in the snow but imagine it would do pretty well considering you have two fat tires helping accelerate. Not sure on the controller. It seems to be covered up and I cannot tear it apart right now.
I have ridden dual motor ebike s in the snow... it's a no go for me with the front motor. The front tire will spin out on you due to lack of weight. I commute year round in South Dakota, and I wouldn't ride a dual motor ebike in the winter. I have tested....to sketchy for me lol. Ice, even with studded tires was a no go. For my winter commuting now, I ride a Himiway Cruiser on studded tires and I never spin out and haven't been tossed off as of yet. Traction is great with the rear motor.
Each taking their own 6 km ride? Yeah, I forget the exact number but I think I was able to do 20 miles top speed full power with a little left. If you are going slower speeds or pedaling with, you can dramatically increase that range. I am also pretty big so 20 miles is probably the lowest range possible. You can do a lot of things to increase that range if you need to.
I think I put that in the video but I believe I said around 20 miles at close to top speed and then it started slowing down. Once the battery was lower like you mentioned, I believe I was getting around 19 miles per hour if I remember correctly. It was slowing down quick as the battery dipped low.
@@LWTeBikeReviews nice! A few min ago I just pre-ordered a 1300$ dual motor 1000w FULL front and rear suspension 23ah 48v Ebike from Amazon. Supposed to arrive early January. Cant wait 😆
I am actually going to make a video about that so hit that subscribe button, but honestly, I would not focus on wattage. That is usually the go to for understanding power but I don't think it should be. One 500 watt bike can be completely different than others. Personally, if you are not looking for anything crazy but a solid road ride, I would try to find something that has medium power. Enough to get through intersections and feel a little safer because you can go. I would figure this out by watching TH-cam reviews and getting a realistic idea of how they function. Hope that helps.
It is important to note in most states in the US, a 1000W ebike is considered an electric moped, and as such would have different laws applied to it and this could limit your legal access to many trails that don't allow electric mopeds. We in the ebike community need to know, understand and adhere to local, state and federal laws so we can be responsible riders.
Maybe they will change the laws because it should be speed limits. Power does not matter. A 1000 watt hub motor going up a steep hill can get bogged down and go 12 MPH. On the same hill a person without an electric bike can do 40 MPH going down hill. In this instance what was the reason for limiting the wattage?
@@LWTeBikeReviews Does it have different modes to restrict the bike to bike trails where you have to pedal only and go to turbo mode where you want to make it street legal?
Yep.... I ride a thousand Watt bezior, gogobest turned street bike with all the bells and whistles.... you've got to have all lights including blinkers, loud horn..... I have the loud bicycle horn.... sounds like a car
Yeah, depends on how you will use it. I don't hit public trails but if that is where you are going to ride, it would not meet restrictions. www.michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/hike-and-bike/ebikes
I was reviewing the bike as shipped. I did not make any phsyical changes. I can't remember if I changed any settings but if I did, the only thing would have been maxing out top speed.
I believe I said that in the video (I don't remember 100 percent), but I think I made it 20 miles full throttle worse case riding. Pedaling or slowing down would extend that dramatically. When you pedal I believe it only uses one motor which also helps with range. Throttle uses both.
This is my second channel so I have bit of a collection of cameras I am using to make videos. :) Main Camera - Sony A7S3 Action Camera - GoPro Hero 11 Black (Probably what you noticed mostly) Just got but was not used in this video (Insta 360 X4) Air Shots - DJI Mavic Pro 2 (I collected these over years making hundreds of videos on my other channel)
@@nikandbdog Well, I am not happy with it right now because it is winter in Michigan and I can't ride it! But in all seriousness, it is still working great. I have not had any issues and it is a very nice bike to ride around on.
Question: How tall are you? I’m 6’3” and I really want to get a H8, however, I am concerned that it may not be good for tall people with long arms and long legs as it’s limit on the website says 6‘4“.
@@LWTeBikeReviews I got mine 3 days ago and I’m totally loving it. Because I live I Japan and the laws are very strict over here, I went to the police station yesterday to learn what I need to do. They told me to go to the city office and get a license plate because the power “potential” even if I take off the battery, the mere fact that this bike can do 50kms p/h puts this bike into a Moped category. So now I have a license plate hanging off the back of my bike, but the good thing is, I can ride it up to its full speed and even use the throttle legally over here. To be honest though, I’ll only be sitting around 35kms p/h most of the time because the roads are too crowded and I have a family to think about. All that aside, the H8 is an incredible bike. Just need to get the sprocket ⚙️ changed to 11-28. 14 just doesn’t cut it on this bike and I’m not pro enough to do it myself.
@JasonMcNamara awesome! Glad to hear it is working out so well and you are able to use it at full potential. Agree on the sprocket. I want to get that done as well. Really want to pedal along at 35mph and extend the range and burn some calories. Hope it continues to work out great!
Hey bud i got a keteles k800 which is essentially the same thing just no second speed controller. Just wanting to know how many miles you got by now and how its holding up.
I have not road that one yet, but I think they are rather close. Top speed and power should be similar. I am going to guess the Ariel has a better feel and overall suspension setup, and maybe some better components overall. The Philodo may feel more like a bike instead moped feel as you can move the seat up and down and get in position to properly pedal where I don't think you get that as much with the Ariel. So in short, sort of depends on what type of ride you are looking for but I imagine both are solid options.
I will be honest and say my time is divided between different e-bikes I am testing, but yes! Every time I have taken it for a ride, it has worked great. I am very happy with it.
@@LWTeBikeReviews that bike and the Ariel kepler both are great..but since I don't have much space and could only get one more ebike I'm going with the revv 1..
Have that bike would like more speed in each pas settings like a bike I had before throttle to slow to move off from a stop. Good range on battery I got a spare battery 48v 26ah.
Spare battery is a great idea. I want to do some more testing of the range. It was not that high but that was with my only going full throttle and top speed and at 2000 watts, it is going to go through a battery. If I slowed down a bit and pedaled, I imagine this could have a lot of range and still go faster than most eBikes.
It is 78 lbs. I do lift it into the back of my truck but it is a beast. If you take the battery off, that would save a little weight but depends on what you are capable of.
The rear motor barely does anything I unplugged it and didn't notice any difference Loving it though I've had a few weed bikes and this isn't even the most expensive and I like it more than all of them
When I got to site for filming I noticed but did not have tools to correct. It is only a slight adjustment and I fixed it as soon as I got home. The camera greatly exaggerated it as well.
I had to sell so I could get more bikes to review here, but.... I sold it to someone local and he gave it to his 18-year-old. I have been told it is being rode hard... really hard, and it is still holding up well!
@LWTeBikeReviews I have heard a lot of positive reviews on this bike so far!! I found one of these bikes for sale that doesn't work. Lights come in but Motors won't come on. Never used and he wants $700 for it. I think I know what the problem is. How much did these bikes change from their origional version? Do you know? The new ones have a color screen vs the old monochrome and 23ah battery vs the old 22ah. Do you know of any other changes that were made? The one for sale is the older version.
I honestly don't know differences in versions. I only know the one I tested. If you can fix it that would be sweet. Just my two cents... if it is an older version and motors do not work (which means it could be motors, controllers, batteries, or other), I personally would only get it if it was far below 700. That seems like a lot for a broken older bike.
There’s a guy on here that’s done thousands and thousands of miles on this bike. Safe to say it is built like a tank. I haven’t had mine long but I expect to have no issues long term.

Interesting! I like that idea because I do wish I could pedal when at top speed. Mind sending the part over you got? But you are right, this bike is amazing. Been so much fun. Biking in Greece.... I am not jealous.... not jealous at all.... :)
@@DARIVSARCHITECTVS The Philodo has an odd seat post size at 30.4. My Ecotric was 27.2. So I bought the 27.2 suspension seat post and then got a sleeve at 30.4 so I can use on both bikes. Hope that helps
Not too often, but considering the top speeds of difference PAS levels don't always match the gears, it is nice to find the right gear that lets you pedal along at that PAS speed. So it is helpful. Also, if you want to ride on your own without assistance, these bikes are harder and having more gears can be helpful.
Pretty steep. I go over highway overpasses and also some steep hills in the off-road section. Many bikes have struggled with them so they are not easy.
I am 6'3". It might be a little tougher at your high. I worry about the bar in front of the seat when hoping off or getting on the bike. Next time I am home I will try to take a look. My wife has the Rad Power Bikes step through and loves it.
Sort of. I actually think 20 miles was not too bad for how much power I was pulling at a constant top speed. If I were to slow down a bit or pedal with the bike, the range would extend dramatically. But yes, if you plan to do throttle only at top speed, you are going to need more battery if you want to go further than that.
I was just reading about solid state batteries coming for cars. The battery technology is advancing so quickly. Make me wonder what eBikes will be like in 5 years or so.
@LWTeBikeReviews let's not live a false dichotomy like libtwits so often do . When we use batteries of any kind? We just put pollution in another place, and buy into another lie! Child Slave labor with hazardous material in 3rd world countries is crimes against humanity, but we all sanctimonious narcissistic Machivallian about it all. I like new technology, but every time they seem to be going backwards in human rights or causing environmental issues but lying about it. We'll just have to fkkk around and find out? But in the meantime poorly built batteries, and packs are causing fires at breakneck speed. The considerations you need are like carrying a toxic bomb . I know! I have the world's fastest e scooter!
The real question is, what kind of range does this bike get with dual motors sucking up one battery? No offense to your review, but I feel like ya skipped the most important test. This is critical information as the websites are notorious for overstating how much range these bikes get, which is why I always come to to TH-cam to get the truth. Dual motors sounds fun, but without decent range, the bike is a waste in my opinion. So, how many miles do you get off a full charge using throttle only?
Check out the video at the 1:20 mark. That is included. I was able to make it 20 miles. It still had some left but it was really slowing down. Now, this is worst case scenario. If you pedal or slow down, you can get much better range but full throttle and my 225 lb. body.... around 20 miles.
I only get about 25 miles max on my 750/1000w Ebike in max output PAS but I’m pedaling hard the entire time with it too but it’s only got 15ah battery I weigh 210
I have a crazy idea, if your up for the challenge ? (there is this Ebike available for under 100.00) manufacturer claims it's usually 800.00, I was wondering if you would buy it, and be the only TH-cam channel who reviews the first brand new under 100.00 Ebike? (who know's maybe the manufacturer would give you some kind of royalty for doing the in depth assembly instruction video, ) (a lot of people like myself are the on the sidelines watching with great curiosity and amuzement this whole Ebike revolution, but won't experiment with one costing 300.00 and above, (trust me on this)
I'm surprised I never got back to you, so strange that I find myself stumbling on your channel again today, but there is a reason for everything sometimes: Anyway to pick up where we left off, at the beginning of my E-Bike journey when I saw these 100.00 Ebike Pop Up Ad's I had no perspective to draw upon, now I do, I think those Pop Up ads and sources were either fraudulent, or they were an exaggeration of the finished assembly of a Ebike conversion kit. There is no way they were a full E-bike with battery and motor and tires and a frame, I mean how could that be possible? Anyway, here this month of September 2023, I share with you the 2nd best value I've see in the E-bike marketplace from a motor and battery range bang for your buck: It's this model and this link specifically you must use to get this 2000 Watt motor with 18 AMP UL certified battery with built in rear basket for 1120.00 (yes that's right no joke, but here is the bad part) There are no reviews on TH-cam from actual owners of this brand. This brand I think has been around a while, so it's strange there is no independent reviews for them. I suggest you reach out to them, and tell them, they need TH-cam exposure and you want to review the Ebike for them, (maybe they'll send you one right out) hope so, I'm dying to see a independent review of this model's suspension and rear rack build quality. What is really unique also is the frame design: It's unique in that, you could with zipties and a backpack, easily attach a 2nd battery to the frame section closest to the front wheel to carry as a spare battery when the 18 AMP battery runs out of juice, (this is something you can't easily do, many E-Bike frames make it hard to do this, but with this CRIPRO one, I could see it done safely) P.S. Please ask for the ''green'' model I think that would give better visibility in both day and night VS the grey model. If you get this E-bike, let me know, and I'll pitch it with what I know to do about the lack of it's rear suspension, and how to upgrade that.
Why isn't my bike is the exact same looking thing but a different badge on it and it has a single motor and it'll do 30 which is 5 mph less than what you're doing with two motors
IU have an E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown 2 wheel drive, 2 battery, dual suspension, 4.25" Vee Bulldozer tires, Shimano DEORE deurailler, 4 piston brakes on 2.3 mm thick rotors, 9 (nine) levels of torque sensing pedal assist, etc. etc. for $5,100.!! Compare that to a de-contented RAMBO Megatron at $7,200.
There should be a setting for sensitivity at take off. To increase or mellow take off power. If you were to compare this to a Fabulous Road Warrior X2, it would be night and day the power at take off and even top speed. The front tire should spin and much higher speeds faster. The Fabulous Havoc X2 also. And the Ariel Rider Grizzly.. All more peak torque and power. Even the Wired bikes with just a single rear hub are higher speeds faster than this I'm thinking.. And I don't think this bike is any faster than my Ariel Rider Kepler. About 35-36 throttle only. I'm sure up hills this bike is better than my Kepler. But I don't have any hills within 109 miles at all. 🤔
Yeah, you are probably right but also talking much higher priced bikes with better components. The Ride1Up I have has much more torque and feels more powerful even though it is only a 750 watt motor. Again, a much more expensive bike though. I don't think this bike is for people that want to spin the tires and get crazy. Just want an eBike that is a little more fun and has more top speed.

Great review but you kill me with that knuckle of keys hanging off you bars!!! Good seat is a must for a bike like this because you will be riding along time.
Yeah, higher voltage, better controller, torque sensor. There are things that could be better and change the experience, but that would put it at a different price point and for a more extreme user base. I think this one is meant for riders that still want a good ol ebike experience but with a little more power. Not going extreme though.
Yeah, assembled on very cold Michigan night and then didn’t use it until review time and ended up at location with camera gear and was committed. Camera exaggerated it at as well. It is fixed now.
I bet I could have went further but performance was definitely down. Considering this is drawing 2,000 watts, it is going to drain a battery quickly. If you pedal and don’t go full out top speed, I am sure you could get a lot better range. But yeah, if you want to go full out throttle only, not great.
If you use pedal only, it uses the rear motor alone with the throttle it uses both motors. That helps with battery use. I've watched a lot of reviews of this bike and will probably add it to my other bike in the near future. Good review, I liked and subscribed 👍🏻
@BucketHeadMark Great info, I was not aware of that. I will try to do a pedal only test sometime and see what I get. I imagine I would get substantially better range. Thank you so much!
I think there are so many variables. @chadsebike did a throttle only 14 miles full throttle, then a mix and he got about 30 miles. I am sure if you stay on pas 3 or under it would easily do 40. I did a range test [on my channel] I rode for 5 hours and ended up at almost 60 miles. I still had 2 bars over a 1/2, so I am sure I could have went another 20 [wife was tired LOL] I rode 34 miles on pas 2 and then pas 3 for the rest. I think I could do a 100 miles if I babied it. Pas 1 is really hard to ride as it is so slow. Pas 2 is tolerable especially on a rails to trails route I did. When I bumped it up to 3 it felt like I was flying and so much fun. I am almost at 5k miles and still love the bike.😀
Completely agree. I am a big guy and moving all that weight at full throttle and top speed is going to drain the battery quickly. Slowing down or assisting the bike by pedaling should extend the range dramatically.
Exercise. Extending range. Experience. Rider preference. Not sure exactly what you wanted to learn, but this is still a bike that you can pedal with up through PAS 4. The only time you can't is when you go full speed in PAS 5. There are better pedal focused options out there, but this still provides a great balance of motorized, pedaling, or mixed ride opportunities.
I see what you are saying. For me, it is the mixed experience. I like bikes. I enjoy riding around getting exercise. An eBike takes that to the next level. I can still pedal, exercise, and go places but I can go further, faster, and take breaks when I need to. Sort of a best of both worlds.
The handle bars are slightly left. Great video. I bought a Sheng Milo ebike a few years ago and enjoy it. 1000 watt motor.
That is corrected and thank you so much! Will look into that model! Can’t wait to test more. eBikes are so dang fun!

After comparing the stats on over 30 bikes, the Philodo H8 is still in my top 2 for buying my first e-bike. The Ariel Kepler is also being considered, but since I want to do trails primarily, the dual motor bike seems the best choice.
It really Chan handle trails well and it is seriously so much fun. Whatever you go with, I hope you love it!

Very interesting. I wonder if there are any differences or if is really is only a rebranded bike. Thanks for bringing that one up.

I bought a H-8 a year ago and I just bought a second H-8 a week ago. I love the bike. I did change the tires out to some nice directional tires and when I bought my new H-8 last week I had to buy the new directional tires from the start it creates a whole new riding experience. I recommend this bike to anyone love it 👍😎
Great feedback! Glad it has worked out so well!
Fellow Michigander here, and I agree completely about the PAS. I have my bike setup with 10 PAS levels because I do a very wide variety of riding, and it's all dynamic current based which I love.
We are on the same page! Love being able to dial in the type of ride I want to do! Looking forward to rides when the leaves change colors!

I live in New York and I bought a AiPAS A2 as it’s a transformable from a Class 2 to a Class 3 and it’s completely foldable, plus it’s the same company that makes bikes for Lectric, just a whole lot cheaper.
Nice! I will check that one out. Thanks for sharing!
I have this same bike as well for about a month now. I’d say the speed limitations is a little annoying if riding with friends. Their bike does 15mpg and I’m switching between pas 2 and 3 nonstop .
That is actually a good idea. A bike that lets you set a specific speed limit so you can sync up with friends.
You can edit and add level settings. It's not fixed at x speed.
What about a throttle and cruise control
@@michaelbigelow3255 lol well

@@jplb96 how do you edit it?
On mine ive gotten through a set of pads at 700km, headset replaced and extender fitted, gear cables stretched and put the headlamp up on the handlebars, the torque is pretty good compared to my 250w bike, I've been riding in all weather including frost and snow, for the money its great and very comfortable, if you find it starts making weird noises, mine has slightly warped rotors and the kick stand came loose......but love mine, it's a keeper like you said 👌
@Bikes0420 Rubbish, you look after it like anything else when used in the elements, enjoy it and clean it and service it.
@@LWTeBikeReviews Okay thank you, I appreciate your suggestion.
I’m torn between this and the Fiido t1 pro. Decisions ahead!
100 km range at full throttle! Now you have me wanting to test that one!
Yes it is! I have 300 miles on mine already...
Awesome! Can't wait to put more miles on mine!
I didn't notice did you mention if you can shut off the front motor or the rear motor or anything like that
No switch but I think throttle may activate both where pedaling only one. I need to try to test that though.
Just unplug it ?
@glencastleberry8632 maybe, I can’t remember if it had a quick disconnect or not. I think most people were hoping for a button so they could easily control it while riding. That would be a cool feature.
I love this bike I have 350 miles on it so far
Nice! It really is a fun bike!

Speed PAS is a deal breaker. I want to know how much work I'm doing, as opposed to a moped feel.
Yeah, most use a cadence sensor but those torque sensor bikes are nice!
Please compare/ race this against a Wired Freedom E bike.
Will do my best to get my hands on that bike. It looks nice!
I don't have that model so not sure, but I would reach out to the company and have them advise.
It’s adjustable take the lever and tighten it one turn then close the lever
I knew someone would focus on the wrong part - its not that main lever at the top that was the problem. It was lower down at the bottom of the stem, a mechanic fixed it, so its fine now. But the makers shouldnt have send it to me loose like that in the first place. @@jamesyurky3048
The only problem is the bike that comes up in your link is the single drive motor not the duel that your riding. Why is that
I am guessing you were using the Amazon link? Try this one - amzn.to/3SHNPZc
I don't use pass that all I have it turned off or taken out on all my bike's I use the throttle and then I find cruise control if I want to peddle at a certain speed or comfortable
Fun to figure out best way to use them for you!
Can you turn off the front motor and or the rear motor via switch that came with the bike
No switch that I have seen. That would be a nice feature.
@jamesjohnson1522 good info! Thanks for sharing as I am sure it will help people in that situation.
Thank you for review. Do you think it's possible to go two adults for a short distance about 6 km every day on this bike?
Each taking their own 6 km ride? Yeah, I forget the exact number but I think I was able to do 20 miles top speed full power with a little left. If you are going slower speeds or pedaling with, you can dramatically increase that range. I am also pretty big so 20 miles is probably the lowest range possible. You can do a lot of things to increase that range if you need to.
What’s the voltage sag like and real world range for top speed throttle only-useage? When the battery gets below 20% what’s the bike’s top speed etc.
I think I put that in the video but I believe I said around 20 miles at close to top speed and then it started slowing down. Once the battery was lower like you mentioned, I believe I was getting around 19 miles per hour if I remember correctly. It was slowing down quick as the battery dipped low.

I wonder what wattage is good for just road rides like whats too little or too much or just right
I am actually going to make a video about that so hit that subscribe button, but honestly, I would not focus on wattage.

Nice! Should add up to some good range.
You should compare it to the wired freedom ebike
Looks like a very comparable bike! Great feedback and I will see what I can do!
Thank you for the review
My pleasure!
So very true!
Agree and will cross my fingers that happens!
Doesn't Mi have a power restriction on public trails of 750w? Im sure this bike rips, but not legal in some areas.
Yeah, depends on how you will use it. I don't hit public trails but if that is where you are going to ride, it would not meet restrictions. www.michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/hike-and-bike/ebikes
We need to actually see the results. Does it have two batteries? What are the controllers set at?
I was reviewing the bike as shipped. I did not make any phsyical changes. I can't remember if I changed any settings but if I did, the only thing would have been maxing out top speed.
Hi. So how far can you go per charg. Are all the test you did on AWD. Can you just run on rear wheel or front wheel separately
I believe I said that in the video (I don't remember 100 percent), but I think I made it 20 miles full throttle worse case riding. Pedaling or slowing down would extend that dramatically. When you pedal I believe it only uses one motor which also helps with range. Throttle uses both.

I am 6'3" and honestly it feels like a tall person bike. I don't feel like I am too big for this bike, more of a really good fit. Hope that helps!
Hope it continues to work out great!

old review i know, but what grade would you say that hill test was ?
Going off memory but pretty good. Was able to accelerate from a stop up steep hill and did not lose much speed when hitting incline at top speed.
How is this experience compared to something like the Ariel Rider 52V X-Class?
I have not road that one yet, but I think they are rather close. Top speed and power should be similar. I am going to guess the Ariel has a better feel and overall suspension setup, and maybe some better components overall. The Philodo may feel more like a bike instead moped feel as you can move the seat up and down and get in position to properly pedal where I don't think you get that as much with the Ariel. So in short, sort of depends on what type of ride you are looking for but I imagine both are solid options.
Why is speed ALWAYS the holy grail?!?! It is NOT FOR ME. It’s range
I am pretty sure I covered both in the video
yeah but it looks like you are having fun, nice bike

Was able to disconnect and reposition socket connection and it’s working now 👍
@GenXRides awesome! Enjoy riding it!
did you do 34 mph on both throttle and pedal?
If I remember correctly that was throttle only. Pedaling only gets you so far because you start ghost pedaling.

That does look neat! Very sleek looking bike.
How heavy it is? Can you carry it up stairs?
It is 78 lbs. I do lift it into the back of my truck but it is a beast. If you take the battery off, that would save a little weight but depends on what you are capable of.
So this bike has dual bafang 1000 motors?
Your handlebars are not strait I bought 2 h8s it also has cruise control and p13 in the progaming can give you full power from the start
The rear motor barely does anything I unplugged it and didn't notice any difference Loving it though I've had a few weed bikes and this isn't even the most expensive and I like it more than all of them
Glad to hear it is working out. I just sold mine and the kids who bought it are loving it.
I'm not sure why this is but mine goes 38 on flat ground it's the exact same bike except mines black and white
Well, if you weigh less than me (230) that will help. If your tires are inflated higher that could impact it as well.
My wife gets 38mph too. I get 28 mph I'm 280lbs she's 140

Is this crooked steering wheel normal or is it some bullshit?
When I got to site for filming I noticed but did not have tools to correct. It is only a slight adjustment and I fixed it as soon as I got home. The camera greatly exaggerated it as well.
Ya i thumbed up .u did a good review. And subscribe
Thank you so much!
Hey, do you still have the bike? Still going strong? How many miles?
@ramborambokitchenkitchen6357 might be talking about papa blue shirt (I think that is his name)
is it thumb or half twist throttle

On my Philodo H8 i changed the sadlepen Suntour SP NSX. The fhreewheel with smallest teeth 11. So no clownpaddeling anymore. This week arrives a second battery and charger. The bike is GOOD!. I am biking in Crete Greece.
Interesting! I like that idea because I do wish I could pedal when at top speed. Mind sending the part over you got? But you are right, this bike is amazing. Been so much fun. Biking in Greece.... I am not jealous.... not jealous at all.... :)
What is the size of the Suntour SP NSX fits on the Philodo H8?
@@DARIVSARCHITECTVS The Philodo has an odd seat post size at 30.4. My Ecotric was 27.2. So I bought the 27.2 suspension seat post and then got a sleeve at 30.4 so I can use on both bikes. Hope that helps
@@papablueshirt Very much so! Thanks Papa!
I want to know , When do you need 21 gears???
Not too often, but considering the top speeds of difference PAS levels don't always match the gears, it is nice to find the right gear that lets you pedal along at that PAS speed. So it is helpful. Also, if you want to ride on your own without assistance, these bikes are harder and having more gears can be helpful.
How steep were the inclines
Pretty steep. I go over highway overpasses and also some steep hills in the off-road section. Many bikes have struggled with them so they are not easy.
how tall are you? im 5'5'' im thinking this is too tall for me to ride
I am 6'3". It might be a little tougher at your high. I worry about the bar in front of the seat when hoping off or getting on the bike. Next time I am home I will try to take a look. My wife has the Rad Power Bikes step through and loves it.
I am 5'8" and the bike is really too big for me, but I lean it to get on and have kind of gotten used to it. It is a big bike, but a lot of fun.
Great feedback @papablueshirt
If you want crazy fast pick up speed pedal as hard as you can full throttle!!
Do it all the time and love it!
A 35 mph e bike requires a Huge battery or 2 if you want to go very far or long.
Sort of. I actually think 20 miles was not too bad for how much power I was pulling at a constant top speed. If I were to slow down a bit or pedal with the bike, the range would extend dramatically. But yes, if you plan to do throttle only at top speed, you are going to need more battery if you want to go further than that.
The perfect ev has real pure nickel strips ,and built correctly so that fire risks are put to a minimum! Everything is a fire waiting to happen!

@@LWTeBikeReviews I'm sorry.
All good! Good luck finding the best bike for you!
@@LWTeBikeReviews Thank you 🙏🙏
I only get about 25 miles max on my 750/1000w Ebike in max output PAS but I’m pedaling hard the entire time with it too but it’s only got 15ah battery I weigh 210
I have a crazy idea, if your up for the challenge ? (there is this Ebike available for under 100.00) manufacturer claims it's usually 800.00,
I was wondering if you would buy it, and be the only TH-cam channel who reviews the first brand new under 100.00 Ebike? (who know's maybe the manufacturer would
give you some kind of royalty for doing the in depth assembly instruction video, ) (a lot of people like myself are the on the sidelines watching with great curiosity and amuzement
this whole Ebike revolution, but won't experiment with one costing 300.00 and above, (trust me on this)
What is the name of the bike?
I'm surprised I never got back to you, so strange that I find myself stumbling on your channel again today, but there is a reason for everything sometimes: Anyway to pick up where we left off, at the beginning of my E-Bike journey when I saw these 100.00 Ebike Pop Up Ad's I had no perspective to draw upon, now I do, I think those Pop Up ads and sources were either fraudulent, or they were an exaggeration of the finished assembly of a Ebike conversion kit. There is no way they were a full E-bike with battery and motor and tires and a frame, I mean how could that be possible? Anyway, here this month of September 2023, I share with you the 2nd best value I've see in the E-bike marketplace
from a motor and battery range bang for your buck: It's this model and this link specifically you must use to get this 2000 Watt motor with 18 AMP UL certified battery with
built in rear basket for 1120.00 (yes that's right no joke, but here is the bad part) There are no reviews on TH-cam from actual owners of this brand. 1269.00 with 150.00 coupon as of this comment left 28 Sept, 2023 for 1120.00
This is probably the cheapest 2000 Watt E-Bike model out there , as there are not many offering this in the 1200.00 and under market. What is really unique also is the frame design: It's unique in that, you could with zipties and a backpack, easily attach a 2nd battery to the frame section closest to the front wheel to carry as a spare battery when
the 18 AMP battery runs out of juice, (this is something you can't easily do, many E-Bike frames make it hard to do this, but with this CRIPRO one, I could see it done safely)
P.S. Please ask for the ''green'' model I think that would give better visibility in both day and night VS the grey model.
If you get this E-bike, let me know, and I'll pitch it with what I know to do about the lack of it's rear suspension, and how to upgrade that.
Absolutely no service after the sale. Emails go to someone in China and they do not honor the 1 year warranty on parts either.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
Why isn't my bike is the exact same looking thing but a different badge on it and it has a single motor and it'll do 30 which is 5 mph less than what you're doing with two motors
I have no idea what bike you have but different motors, controllers, weight, tires, batteries, and more all change how the bike performs.
IU have an E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown 2 wheel drive, 2 battery, dual suspension, 4.25" Vee Bulldozer tires, Shimano DEORE deurailler, 4 piston brakes on 2.3 mm thick rotors, 9 (nine) levels of torque sensing pedal assist, etc. etc. for $5,100.!! Compare that to a de-contented RAMBO Megatron at $7,200.
How does the monarch do with steep hills? I got the krusader it sucks on hills
They send u free bikes to review them.cant beat that.if i was smart i try that
Purchasing most of them myself for now but get one here and there. Hopefully they start sending them so I can review loads of them!
Do the engine in front it will goo by it self, cuss my only the back work, do I need to do anything alse,
I believe there is a difference in motor engagement depending on if pedaling or using throttle.
I hear it is if you get into the hidden settings
@@randomtrendz not sure.
Bummer, it doesn't seem to have rear suspension.
Yeah, depends on how you are going to use. It was not terrible but could be a nice improvement depending on your use.
crooked gooseneck?
I got a 26 inch Ebike It's a real monster really is really hard to really hannel on any truth
My OCD was kicking in with those crooked handlebars
I know I know. Never again! :)
Unfortunately in the U.K. these more powerful bikes have to be registered with a license plate.
Dang, that does stink. I get it that they are a little faster but it does not seem like it is at that level. But I get it.

I liked mine enough that I bought another one, best thing I added was a suspension seat post .
Might have to look into that! I am so happy whenever I have time to ride this. Such a good one!
@@jamesyurky3048Makes two of us. I order suspension seat post from Amazon. My butt thanks me everyday 😁.
Great review but you kill me with that knuckle of keys hanging off you bars!!! Good seat is a must for a bike like this because you will be riding along time.
@dalvenable331 Haha, I know. I have my eVike keys mixed with camping keys right now. I need to come up with a better system!
Damn I want this bike if Eminem has it.
lol jk... for a frame there it was pretty close.
Anyways, Im about to pull the trigger on this bike.
I just can’t sit back and wallow, in my own sorrow, but I know one fact: I’ll be one tough act to follow.
It would be better if it was 72 v or higher the more the better and more torque
Yeah, higher voltage, better controller, torque sensor. There are things that could be better and change the experience, but that would put it at a different price point and for a more extreme user base. I think this one is meant for riders that still want a good ol ebike experience but with a little more power. Not going extreme though.
All from the same chinese company. I got the kettles k800 pro, same bike
Yeah, I learned that after the video. Hope it is working out great for you.
Handle bars are crooked. That would drive me nuts.
Yeah, assembled on very cold Michigan night and then didn’t use it until review time and ended up at location with camera gear and was committed. Camera exaggerated it at as well. It is fixed now.
so on just power mode, the range is only 20 miles, glad I watched this, the bike site states they get 40. Thank you
I bet I could have went further but performance was definitely down.
What's the point of pedaling at all with this?
@@LWTeBikeReviews Of course you can. But what's the point? You don't have pedals in your car and you also don't have pedals on your motorbike
I see what you are saying. For me, it is the mixed experience. I like bikes. I enjoy riding around getting exercise. An eBike takes that to the next level. I can still pedal, exercise, and go places but I can go further, faster, and take breaks when I need to. Sort of a best of both worlds.
