I told my neighbor who had never ridden a motorcycle that he needed to treat his new ebike as a motorcycle. I gave suggestions on the purchase of a proper full face helmet, looking further down the road when at speed, pay attention to road debris, cover your brake levers with one finger, do not ride the shoulders etc. Well I picked him up from the hospital a year ago. From what he says his broken collar bone, broken arm, damaged muscles, mangled fingers and inability to now lift his arm above elbow level will always be like this.
They're more dangerous than motorcycles because they're called e-bikes. I've ridden motorcycles 60 years and broke my neck on my f'n ebike! Never take anything in life for granted...
I have the original Juliet, which I prefer both in terms of pedaling and fit being a tallish guy myself, and for the fact it still looks like a "bike". To be honest, they still sell the OG Juliet for $1400 after coupon, while this one is $2600 after coupon, and while 40mph and dual motors seems cool and all, I don't know that I could say that it's worth the extra scratch. My Juliet goes 30mph with my heavy ass on it. If I was going to get more than that, I'd just get a real road scooter with DOT approved suspension, signals, and security and such. 30mph is FAST on a freaking bicycle. I do love the original Juliet tho. I am sure the Romeo Pro II is great for what it is. Just don't know that it's worth $1200 more than the Juliet I have.
I own the same bike I am 5’-8” 175lb and the weight of this bike is not an issue. Did I mention I am 65 years old and really enjoy this bike. Customer service has been great any questions I have had they have answered for me within 24hrs. So I don’t think that is a deterrent in buying this bike.
@@canadianreviewer489 Hello friend I'm from Canada and been looking for a nice Long Range E Bike but here within Canada honestly has nothing that interest me at all !! And To the point just As you say is the main reason I'm struggling so long and hard with looking to find an actual great E Bike even although I do have 8K saved up in coin to spend on one serious nice bike the DEFLAST and its so awesome and that I'm certain you yourself have heard about that Bike ? and so its not a point in the cost to buy it that I'm concerned about as but the point of the matter that troubles me is having to order one online through exchanges on Amazon or E Bay say and as such it being my first time I ever made a purchase online !! Plus what if I need ship it back if I find myself dissatisfied or say do to any such problems or faulty issues with the bike parts !! Who can I depend upon to pick up their phone I hate all the tossing of my emails out only to find no such response from businesses I need to speak to over such matters but of course so is point reason for why I guess my trust level is driven so very weak and as well being 58 years of age I'm so used to the old school shopping for such costly things in person as a matter of fact even when mail ordering things was the method I was always one to fear taking that same sort of risk with my hard earned money !! The Delfast Bike is in the USA and another point in part of why I fear to buy anything's online is just as well do to my efforts of trying to make direct contact as with the sellers of an E Bike I been so very interested in buying and I need best speak to a real person as on the phone in order for me to get some customization's and certain add on extras like tire tubes and or an extra battery is mainly one thing as why I wish to simply have the actual means available for to speak with somebody in order to try negotiate a deal . However not being as able to build up my trust levels has me in a state of limbo frustrated and tired of waiting to here from real people !! Do You Have any advice for me here my friend ? THX

My fiance just had one given to him by a customer at the place where he works and he loves it. He owned a Kawasaki motorcycle when we met, he sold it and he felt bad. He told me having the e-bike is sort of like having his motorcycle back. :) They look fun, and he is very happy.
Unless your knowledge of ebike repairs is fairly advanced, I DO NOT recommend that company. The bike I got was the cupid. Beautiful bike, but faulty in a week. You'll be offered replacement parts all the way up to taking apart the engine to replace it yourself. So unless you know how to take apart all of those bike's parts and components that's a no go. Don't be fooled by the look and stats. Another thing to take into consideration is that if you require parts you'll have to be providing a lot of proof and you'll be made to wait for their response, not counting that they will ship out of china so if your bike is powerless get ready to pedal a very heavy bike with the power of your legs for quite some time.
@@hellcrow539 i Doubt they will refund you. i didnt even ask for a refund i gave them a chance to just send me the parts for the bike...they woudnt even do that.. have you tried contacting your credit card company?
Nice review. I bought the Romeo Pro 2 about a month ago. And I love this bike!! I'm a tall guy (6'4"), so I rarely peddle. I sit pretty comfortable on it while riding it as long as I'm sitting far back on the seat. Whenever I'm riding it, I turn heads and get hella compliments and questions. Its definitely worth the money.
@@thall8484 it really depends on how and where you like to ride. I like to ride on flat, concrete bike trails and mild inclines. Some folks like to ride dirt bike trails and back roads. It's all about what your body can withstand.

I've been riding an UBCO Adventure bike for a couple years now. It's a dual motor, no pedals 57V 3.1KWh, I can corroborate what you're saying about battery life v speed. UBCO is capped at 30 for an everyone license. I live in a small town so 30 is plenty for bopping around town. It's advertised at 70 miles per charge. but I can say for sure you aren't going to hit that if you go over 25mph. Seems like 25 is the sweet spot. The AWD is awesome offroad, I gotta say this is the only EBike I've seen that comes close. Friends with straight up EBikes seem to break spokes when us 200 pounders ride them as apposed to the UBCO that uses light motorcycle parts. Really love that bike. You'll love it if you take it for a good trail ride, AWD is great when it gets slippery, I ride in the snow with no issues. Your distance and battery are very similar to what I've been getting, just love it. Rock on, love the channel. Electric bikes are so much fun!
I’m glad you do these test my first e-bike was under powered on hills, people don’t think they won’t travel on hills but they will, a fat tire bike you can’t ride on the beach because of power, my 2nd bike I made sure it had power there when I need it.
@@mikec4308 Beacause they dont stand behind their product unless you have a huge youtube page. we also faced issues with both out eahora bikes. one arrived with the motor not working, fender broken, paint issues, and ontop of that the bike accelerates itself sometimes even if you stop the throttle. the final reason is that we eahora lies alot. we were told we would get our motor replaced, new fender, new break pads and a 280$ refund for all the issues we were facing. its been 3 weeks they told us they will not honour what they said. instead all they send watch a clutch gear for the motor and told us to fix it ourselves. then they offered us 280 to delete our negative review which we declined- we dont want others to loose their money like we did. i hope this helps you make your decision.
I have a converted mountain bike with a 1000w bafang mid drive motor. I'm 215 lbs and it will go over 35 mph. The bike only weights 63 lbs. Weight really makes a difference at higher speeds. Mine feels scary compared to other heavier bikes going the same speed.
That house "in the hills" would probably go for 2.5mil 😂....this bike is awesome though I like the design but the weight really kills the purpose and at 3k why not get a talaria....these ebike prices are Insane‼️ great review though👍🏻
Holy cow that actual motorbike went past real quick! It seems kind of lawless over there and none of it really looks like city. There's so much space and people look, real, in the third world section. That was a buzz riding along with you man! I'm not sure what to make of it all haha.
Pouring water from your water bottle on the motors and will turn the current back on and will not harm the motors. This Simple cooling always works. Phoenix temps are 111F-112F this week.
Yeah, it’s not like a car engine which is made of cast iron which is very brittle and has tight clearances. Pouring water on a hot engine can crack it because of the material properties. With this motor it’s just a bunch of copper wire wrapped around an iron stator which can deal with rapid heat changes very easily.
I Definitely believe the Eahora quality! I got the Juliet 48v 60ah bike, after researching and channels like yours. That bike has lived up to every promise that you'd promote (still get 155km average per charge, 58kph max, Toronto city rider).
I was already leaning on this ebike for a week or so. You talked me into it! Even gonna work the next 4 Saturdays to make it happen! Getting this for my birthday!
Nooooooo ! Re-think your position. I hope it's not too late, but this company is horrible to deal with. If you're unlucky and get a lemon out of the box, good luck. You'll be having a nightmare trying to get it fixed because they will not replace it even if it's their fault. Instead they'll offer to mail you all the pieces from china (so waste 2 more weeks waiting IIIIIIIFFFFFF they sent it because they tend to say "oh we're shipping right away... well we didn't ship it (2 weeks later) we're waiting to know all the problems to fix them at once) and you'll be expected to rewire or rebuild your engine yourself. So yeah, DO NOT BUY from them.
Getting this before my Bday. I am upgrading from a Velowave that I used for almost 3 years. Put 10k miles already on it and swapped two batteries and two motors since. It's time for an upgrade and I am excited. Getting the single motor since I like to pedal and stay in shape.
I think, efficiency to power curve can be further divided. Since hub motor is running on fixed gearing ratio of- hub diameter to tyre diameter. And if second motor is applied via chain and gear ratio for either high range or low range. One motor can act as low-range high-torque for initial starting momentum, and other can give top gear range. (Even if both are powering same wheel)
Excellent review. Yeah that security guard had god image problems. Loved how you put this bike through its paces. I would imagine all these "near motorcycle" type bikes would have issues due to the wight and high speed while trying to keep costs low. Your review makes me want to buy one, but out where I am, lots of 18 wheelers and 45mph speeds on all the roads. I would have to wear full gear to feel safe. Great job.
Your rear shock is upside-down the rebound doesn't adjust how soft or firm it is the turnable shim at the top of the spring is for adjusting the coil! Rebound is a set and forget for how fast it bounces back when hitting a dip! Rebound normal at the bottom

the elite cyclist i forgot his name puts out over 1200 watts of power for a long time before needing to slow down, if you train your legs a lot, it should be easy to put out over 500 watts continues... and if you have a mid drive motor, you should have some crazy acceleration to 20mph, if you have strong leg muscles... dont buy an ebike and use throttle only, make use of the pedals, work on your muscles on lower speeds, using the lower assist mode.. and use your muscles to get quick take offs from red light stops...
My thoughts too on a gym bike I can produce burst of 2500-3200w when the resistance is High and that's what I used the pedals on my engwe m20 for plus you can stand up on one pedal and use your weight to assist from a dead stop as well as acceleration from 7-28mph
Correct, this is technically a moped in CA, requiring a MC license, registration etc. although there is probably no effective way to widely enforce this. With this seat design, non-adjustable motorcycle type, this is not really designed to be pedaled. I would call this an electric motorcycle disguised as an e-bike. Also if riding ~40 mph, I would recommend wearing a motorcycle helmet, not a bike helmet
They are going to need to engineer, manufacture, install an adjustable riser for the seat for taller riders. It should be installed on top of the seat frame. It should be easy for them to do this.

hat's some serious battery power! my bike has two 17 amp hour batteries, 1,500 watt motors from and back, back motor is a direct drive and front motor is a gear drive, I think it would max out at 34 mph for someone lighter than me, I have it turned down so the highest I got it was 29 mph, I have not been riding it because I' was weighing 300 pounds and I was breaking spokes, I replaced my broken spokes and am getting ready to start riding it again, I do carry my Ryobi tool batteries and a inverter to charge my batteries so I can ride faster, I want to change the rear motor to a gear drive so the dang thing can coast!
I really want this bike, but i'd fit knobby off-road tires for where i ride. And some mirrors. The AWD seems perfect for the muddy rocky hilly coastal areas i ride.
At max power settings this bike will still do 50 miles. If you have a trip that is more than that all you have to do is use single motor PAS 4 for the end of the ride(under 30 percent battery) to not get stranded. I think even dual motor orange PAS 5(38mph top speed) can do 60 miles. Best under 3k ebike on the market in my opinion.
Definitely one of the best ebikes at that price point. I do think tho, the Aniioki A8 dual motor is better. Since they pretty much use the same battery, Aniioki provides a option for a 52v 14ah charger, which means 60ah/14A= 4 hours roughly and if the charger supports 200-240Vac, then you could charge at an EV station using a J1772 to Nema 15 adapter. This would solve the possibility of ever getting stranded

Bro, you should go the other direction - toward the South Bay. You can cut through Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo on your way to Palos Verdes. Lots of hills and scenic vistas - not so much danger to life and limb!
Hermosa beach just put out more strict ebike laws, apparently theyve been impounding ebikes that are "off road", which i think because of the speed this would fall into that category. So the beach cities in general are cracking down now due to all the reckless rich little kids riding around their surrons and talarias breaking all sorts of laws all the time.
@@Ebike_Adventures Yes, Hermosa would be a bit dicey - but as long as he stays off the Strand (side-streets) he should be fine. I also find that if you peddle, they tend to leave alone - also, if you're not fifteen, they tend to leave you alone.

Awesome review. I have to consider this bike. I can't help but to marvel at the homelessness and encampments in California and along the west coast. Forgive me if this gets too political but why would any politician allow this to happen in they're state? California used to be a great state back in the 80's. Very sad to look at Los Angeles Portland Seattle Chicago New York and my home town St. Louis all ruined by terrible management and politics. Again, forgive the outburst. I loved your video and it looks to be a great bike.
Now remember kids a tent city is okay with junkies and hypodermic needles all over the sidewalks and bums shiting on the sidewalks, but you must not ride your bike near the Sacred Apple Store!!!
Turns out the motors are too weak, just think if you had to climb that hill everyday. Your 1000-1500 watt motors would burn out in no time. You need at least 3000 watts per wheel, a total of 6000, or you will quickly burn out the weak motors. And thats why you need at least 3000 watts on each wheel 🎉.
woth such a heavy bike and 2WD they should think about regen. I understand tjey dont want to lose the ability to disable a motor...I think having one motor always in gear would be a decent compromise.
Very nice looking bike. I think this bike would be ideal for me. I'm just looking for a commuter to work. Plus I live in Florida where hills do not exist.
I'm tall too. And it seems to me that NOT being able to pedal it comftorably would be enough reason for anyone to avoid it. An adjustable stem on the seat would make a big difference, being able to raise the handlebars and seat together. It's weird, imo, they didn't think of that.

They're more dangerous than motorcycles because they're called e-bikes. I've ridden motorcycles 60 years and broke my neck on my f'n ebike! Never take anything in life for granted...
Looks like he didn’t need to wear a helmet after all, his head is just fine. Thanks
They’ll reply fast for small issues but if you get a lemon like I did they won’t even bother replying. They don’t stand behind their products
@@canadianreviewer489 Hello friend I'm from Canada and been looking for a nice Long Range E Bike but here within Canada honestly has nothing that interest me at all !!
And To the point just As you say is the main reason I'm struggling so long and hard with looking to find an actual great E Bike even although I do have 8K saved up in coin to spend on one serious nice bike the DEFLAST and its so awesome and that I'm certain you yourself have heard about that Bike ?
and so its not a point in the cost to buy it that I'm concerned about as but the point of the matter that troubles me is having to order one online
through exchanges on Amazon or E Bay say and as such it being my first time I ever made a purchase online !!
Plus what if I need ship it back if I find myself dissatisfied or say do to any such problems or faulty issues with the bike parts !!
Who can I depend upon to pick up their phone I hate all the tossing of my emails out only to find no such response from businesses I need to speak to over such matters but of course so is point reason for why I guess my trust level is driven so very weak and as well being 58 years of age I'm so used to the old school shopping for such costly things in person
as a matter of fact even when mail ordering things was the method I was always one to fear taking that same sort of risk with my hard earned money !!
The Delfast Bike is in the USA
and another point in part of why I fear to buy anything's online is just as well do to my efforts of trying to make direct contact as with the sellers of an E Bike I been so very interested in buying and I need best speak to a real person as on the phone in order for me to get some customization's and certain add on extras like tire tubes and or an extra battery is mainly one thing as why I wish to simply have the actual means available for to speak with somebody in order to try negotiate a deal .
However not being as able to build up my trust levels has me in a state of limbo frustrated and tired of waiting to here from real people !!
Do You Have any advice for me here my friend ? THX
I’m your same size, do you have any issues with the 34.3" seat height? It’s the only thing that’s holding me back from purchasing.

@canadianreviewer489 Hey thanks 😊
Best e-bike channel on TH-cam and I learn almost as much from the comments as the actual content.

Correct, Eahora did the same to us. our bike was defective right out of the box. the motor woudnt work. they woudnt even take it seriously.

I have a converted mountain bike with a 1000w bafang mid drive motor. I'm 215 lbs and it will go over 35 mph. The bike only weights 63 lbs. Weight really makes a difference at higher speeds. Mine feels scary compared to other heavier bikes going the same speed.
No interest in a cramped cockpit 150 pound e bike but i watched the entire thing. Great review!

I often get up before dawn and hit it early. Wrapping up by 11... But I remember lotsa days in PHX where the 2am low was 102...

@@rodmunch69 Anyone who wants to save money really. That's what most people get them for. Or just hobby.

Not a bad looking bike, good amount of power and range
the elite cyclist i forgot his name puts out over 1200 watts of power for a long time before needing to slow down, if you train your legs a lot, it should be easy to put out over 500 watts continues... and if you have a mid drive motor, you should have some crazy acceleration to 20mph, if you have strong leg muscles... dont buy an ebike and use throttle only, make use of the pedals, work on your muscles on lower speeds, using the lower assist mode.. and use your muscles to get quick take offs from red light stops...
My thoughts too on a gym bike I can produce burst of 2500-3200w when the resistance is High and that's what I used the pedals on my engwe m20 for plus you can stand up on one pedal and use your weight to assist from a dead stop as well as acceleration from 7-28mph
I have an M license for MC in Calif. and yes, in Calif, over 750 Watt motor requires helmet and MC license. This is 1500 Watts x 2.
Correct, this is technically a moped in CA, requiring a MC license, registration etc. although there is probably no effective way to widely enforce this. With this seat design, non-adjustable motorcycle type, this is not really designed to be pedaled. I would call this an electric motorcycle disguised as an e-bike. hat's some serious battery power! my bike has two 17 amp hour batteries, 1,500 watt motors from and back, back motor is a direct drive and front motor is a gear drive, I think it would max out at 34 mph for someone lighter than me, I have it turned down so the highest I got it was 29 mph, I have not been riding it because I' was weighing 300 pounds and I was breaking spokes, I replaced my broken spokes and am getting ready to start riding it again, I do carry my Ryobi tool batteries and a inverter to charge my batteries so I can ride faster, I want to change the rear motor to a gear drive so the dang thing can coast!

I love the crazy scene downtown!
Nice! You should review the coswheel gt20, it’s a very nice bike
Great video Matt! Would love to see how the two motors handle the thick beach sand. I'm considering this bike. 👍👍
New tyres and some pedaling to decrease resistance should be fine it is heavy tho consider your tire psi as well
Just soak it in the surf! That will lube up the salty sand.
I can’t imagine trying to pedal a bike that weighs 150 freakin pounds!
Thanks for the video im glad i ran into this one im 6'4 and im definitely not going to be comfortable on this bike
woth such a heavy bike and 2WD they should think about regen. I understand tjey dont want to lose the ability to disable a motor...I think having one motor always in gear would be a decent compromise.
You should do a collab with John Hicks
20:35 So Obi Shawn upgraded his del Sol finally. What a weird channel to learn this on.
Shorter wheels = shorter distance per full rotation = higher RPM = more torque
Some of those welds looked funky
Very nice looking bike. I think this bike would be ideal for me. I'm just looking for a commuter to work. Plus I live in Florida where hills do not exist.
How is to do stand up pedaling,? Wish the beast had an adjustable seat post, i like how it says healthy lifestyle on the frame
Great video as always! I love the way that bike looks. How do you like it compared to the Billy Goat V3?
I'm tall too. And it seems to me that NOT being able to pedal it comftorably would be enough reason for anyone to avoid it. An adjustable stem on the seat would make a big difference, being able to raise the handlebars and seat together. It's weird, imo, they didn't think of that.
The company itself is reason enough to avoid it, trust me.
Peace be with you😌 With this video, you out did yourself🙌 Great e-Bike review👍BTW: Any of those Super e-Scooter you'd tested on your other TH-cam channel could climb that hill😉
Clips from this review are the actual vid playing on the Eahora website on the page for this bike right now.
It's one of the best bike in the market now. However, for the price, I'd go with Aniioki A8 dual motors.
Need an infrared thermometer, get some readings on hubs, batteries and controllers. The amp meter would be nice.
Love that idea, i’ve been doing torture tests on bikes in the sand like five days in a row now, I’ve only published one so far. But yeah, the lack of readouts on controller temperature and motor temperature leaves us in the dark.
The steep hill test made my decision. I expected it to be better.
You really just need to take it to a bike shop with somebody who knows how to work on bikes and he'll do something called adjusting that chain alignment and it's also something you might have to do on on a bicycle period we did when we were kids. But we never got repair people to do anything to any of our anything and it seems so normal to possibly have to align a new out of the crate box that didn't go through a dealer to get straightened up first..
I was going to request this review a few days ago! Thanks!
Do not buy from that company. Look through the comments.
@@hellcrow539 I had this on a short list with the Revv1 softtail, Engwe X26, Async A1 and the Wired Freedom as my next bike. X26 and this bike seem to have had rough reviews so it's down to just 3 now.
LA gives the impression that a good pressure-cleaning job on everything is badly needed. Everything looks gross and dingy!
They'll clean it up in '28 for the Summer Olympics. Temporarily, anyway!
17:45 Giallo Clarus yellow. Yup, that's BRIGHT! :D
I like the seat post it blends in well withe the frame great review.
Very cool, they should do 24" tires, 20" are to small.
That's a legit motorcycle!!
The one i built same stats, but (if you like Harleys) looks Allot cooler 👊👊👍👍
Great Review! thank you for your work!
can't wait to see the kingscrown on that hill
that's scary fast - too easy to wipe out and injure yourself. yes I got doored once and the person freaked out - screaming that it was my fault for not looking where I was going. Hilarious.
Bike is a beast
Please do reviews on the Eahora Juliet 2.0 and 3.0 I have the original Juliet and I’m thinking of upgrading to one of those
