So this was my first plant based meal prep, after forgetting multiple ingredients and having to just make things work, 3hrs later I’m super happy with how it tastes! And so excited I stepped out of the box to try this, I’m not a cooker nor have I ever made anything like this, and I was a little lost but it came together in the end, and is super good! Finally a meal prep I’m excited to eat! Thanks so much! I hope to continue to grow my cooking skills with more of your recipes!
Yes! That's what prompted me to make this video. I love cooking but got tired of cooking 2-3 times a day, which then led me to order pizza 2-3 times a week lol...so I needed some more structure!
Hi Ina! Aww happy early birthday! I hope you get to do something fun to celebrate this weekend! I'm so glad you think of this as an early birthday pres😂ent, and you're welcome for the safety advice
I'm kind of blown away by the amount of care put into this. I have already downloaded 2 free PDFs and I don't even have any questions because there is a whole video to go with them! Thank you for all the work you put into everything *_*
i have wanted to try the plant based diet for ages but hated how in your face a lot of vegans are. Youre so friendly and have such a light vibe about you. I'll be following and now giving it a go!
I really love your videos. I have a really restricted diet these days because my baby is allergic to milk and something else (possibly eggs, nuts or fish) and I'm really blown away with how versatile vegan diet can be. Prep in advance is a super bonus, and ingredients are all in my pantry. I'm so doing this.
This is honestly the best meal prep video ever! With the free pdf guide and step-by-step instructions I feel like even I can do it. 😄 Thank you so much!
RainbowPlantLife I’ve never done meal prep before because it always seemed so complicated but you and your video give me the courage to give it a try this weekend. 🙂 Thank you again! ❤️
THESE VIDEOS ARE AMAZING YOU ARE A TRUE GODDESS ENLIGHTENING US ALL LIKE WHAT 2 HOURS OF WORK TO BE LOVINGLY NOURISHED FOR DAYS? IM SO INSPIRED! THANK YOU RAINBOW PLANT LIFE
This is an incredible meal prep. It took the time you said (hooray!), I already had all almost all of the ingredients, your seasoning is on point, and my husband and young children (6&3) enjoyed all the dishes! I'm so grateful you posted this!
I think this is the first meal prep video I’ve watched where I actually already have all of the ingredients in my pantry-very approachable and tasty recipes, will have to give them a go!
I just found you yesterday and I'm binge watching ALL your vids. I'm obsessed. Your so beautiful and the way you talk through everything is so helpful. Love love love your meal ideas and recipes and am so appreciative that you give pdf guides for free. Thank youuuu 😍
I did this meal prep this Sunday. Was very simple and I like how you have us prep r The ingredients. I cooked my own chickpeas on the instapot. And I made the curry lentil dish in my instapot as well. I made my own oat milk but next time I will use cashew or almond milk for the pudding, and the fruit topping, oh MY🤗🤗. Oh I used Cannellini beans for my chilli. Loved this you did an awesome job!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💖
Hi Giovanna, so nice to hear you did this meal prep and thought it was easy! I love cooking my beans in the instant pot too, and glad you were able to make the curry lentils in teh instant pot. How long did you cook it for?
@@RainbowPlantLife because the lentils were supposed to be al dente. I had soaked them for about 10 minutes in warm water then I did all the prep that you did the sauteed onions spices... and other ingredients then I used the rice mode since the quinoa was the main thing that needed to be cooked. Came out nice and fluffy.
I followed your directions today and everything came out so amazing. Thank you for making this so simple for us new Vegans to eat delicious foods. Your an amazing cook and teacher.
I am a beginner cook and meal prepper but I just completed this and it turned out great! I'm swapping the chia pudding for overnight oats (still getting some chia seeds lol) but besides that I did everything the same. Thank you for making this so accessible and easy to follow for newbies like me. That PDF was truly a lifesaver. Cant wait to enjoy these meals all week 😁
Could you make a video going through a list of lots of Indian spices that the rest of the world have probably never heard of. You could talk about what to use them for, health benefits, and where to find them. I’ve watched other videos on Indian cooking and I don’t even know how to spell or google what they’re talking about but the spices look so good!
Meal prep is always a good idea! These dishes look awesome! Meal prepping is one of my favorite tricks I use myself and suggest to others. It saves so much time!
I totally agree - definitely a time saver. I love cooking but even for me, cooking every meal every day for the last 7-8 weeks has been very time consuming, so prepping and batch cooking definitely comes in handy!
@@RainbowPlantLife Oh 100%! You have to batch cook some things. What we've been doing is just making extra food during our live demos so at least we have lunch the next day. As someone else who loves to cook as well, I totally get what you mean! It can be a lot to prepare literally every meal from scratch. Cooking for every meal for two simply isn't very time-efficient. Luckily, shooting videos for TH-cam is a great way to meal prep at the same time!
Thank you for the amazing recipe ideas during this time...and I am loving that vegan curry...let me check something because I might have the lentils for that downstairs....dinner/lunch here we come.
Hi Shelley, you are so welcome :) I hope you have some lentils and will enjoy it. Speaking of lentils, I just shared a new video all about lentils if you are interested!
Nisha, I always look forward to your videos...especially during this time! Love the ad libs! Can’t wait to try the chocolate spread, and not to mention now I know how to get through the monster bag of frozen berries in my freezer! 🤣 I absolutely love chia pudding and it’s my definite go-to for breakfast. I still have to prep, being an essential worker here in NYC and having to go in to work at the hospital. That said, thought I would share one of my favorites... I love adding some matcha to my chia pudding! It’s delicious! Then I just top with other fruits and/or hemp seeds. ☺️ Thank you again for another PDF of meal prep too! They are the best! Be well!
Aww that's so nice to hear, Angelica. So happy you look forward to my videos :) The chocolate spread is something I make every time I want a quick and healthy dessert - it's so good spread over frozen bananas! Thank you for your work at this difficult and challenging time. I can't even imagine how stressful it must be to go into a hospital every day right now. Your work is appreciated more than you will ever know!
I am definitely not going to meal prep as long as I can ( I really need to relax using the opportunity) but the recipes are great nevertheless! Thank you for providing us with such delicious ideas! Stay safe and creative in the kitchen!
Food all looks delicious. I haven't done chia pudding in a while, I lean towards overnight oats myself. Love your cameraman, always adds a comment/question at the right time.
Thank you! To be honest, I was never a chia pudding fan myself until I started adding a good amount of vanilla extract and topping it with that chocolate spread or berry sauce. It's too plain for my taste, otherwise. Haha, and thank you - I'll be sure to let him (my boyfriend) know!
I just meal prepped everything today and it's soooooooo fricking good! I was skepical about it all only taking 2 hours, but it really was that quick! (maybe minus the amount of time to clean dishes haha but WORTH IT)

I love your recipe for an easy cacao spread ! I have some almond butter that I need to use up, so I'm definitely looking forward to trying out this simple recipe ^^
Yeeeeah!!! I just discovered you! My husband has been told by the doctor he has to go vegan. I check some "vegan" channels but they don't have meals just different combination of vegetables into salads and, I really need to feed him not only nutritious but also tasty meals. Thanks!!! Love it all. Thank you for your excellent recipes. I always refer to your channel for refreshing of ideas. As someone mentioned also great for Ramadan 😊 I was thinking what can we have 😆
These are nice variations of chia pudding! I can't wait to try! Also that chili yum yum✨ I'm a health care provider so I've still got to leave the house most days and this is very helpful. I hope you come up with another one soon ;)
You're very welcome, Veronica :) I have cumin and coriander seeds, ground turmeric, Indian red chili powder, mustard seeds, ground coriander, and garam masala.
How would I go about making these spicy? Aside from jalapenos what other types of peppers could I use for the curry lentils? Thank you for the free PDF.
I could just make the chili and curry in the instant pot, right? Could you please tell me the timings for each? I just bought your cookbook!!! 😉😉 saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽
Tip: Use some Bar Keepers Friend or vinegar and baking soda on that baking sheet ! It looks like it needs a good washing ! I will try the chili and curry! Thanks for the recipes !
RainbowPlantLife It works like magic. Mine were looking rough and no matter how long I soaked in soapy water the burnt stuff would never fully come off. I would just buy new baking sheets every so often, until I learned about this trick. Try it !
These are all such warm and comforting meal ideas, thank you! :) Fun, sweet, straight to the point and practical and helpful! :) Just curious though, why you didn't make one of either the lunch or dinner in your beloved instant pot, seems like the perfect meals to use that for and I know how much you use yours!? :)
I'm so glad you like the meals and ideas! I often get requests to do non-instant pot recipes every time i post instant pot recipes (as many people don't have one), so I just wanted to make sure everyone could make these :) The chili is perfect for the instant pot - i've made similar recipes in the IP using the pressure cook setting for 6 minutes, with a natural pressure release for 10 minutes!
@@RainbowPlantLife Thanks so much for replying to my message. I understand people wanting to know how to make these recipes and similar ones on the stove top, I was the same until recently when I finally bought myself a pressure cooker (I live in Australia so we don't have Instant Pots here but the one I found looks just the same). So now I'm looking for ways to convert all of the things I used to do on the stove to be able to make it in the pressure cooker as I'm so excited to have one finally! Honestly the hardest thing for me was working out how to put the lid on correctly and have it in place so the steam wasn't escaping, but then saw a clever tip in a short video showing how to do it by focusing on the back of the pressure cooker and first putting the lid on turned away from the condensation cup which helped to line it up brilliantly, and from there you hear the correct little beeping song that you're looking for and can easily lock it into place, brilliant! :) So now I'm all set to make lots of different dishes using this clever tool, so happy! And you have lots of good ones I can try, I already made your lentil and potato soup which was nice, so am looking forward to trying out many more soon. Thank you for your help, and the guide of how to make the chili in the pressure cooker, will do that one soon! :)
Rachel X you can eat, but since you can’t eat during daylight hours (one meal before dawn, one meal after dusk) some may prefer to prep meals so they don’t have to wake up even earlier, and cook late at night. Ramadan lasts far too long (a month) to not eat at all.
Yum looks delicious i am making all soon perfect for my office lunches after the circuit breaker month finishes in Singapore will make all with few subs drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
I made the chili and added the two tablespoons of chili powder. My god, it's so hard for me to eat it, but I will because I don't want to waste any food. I'm no stranger to spicy food, but I'm having a hard time with this one. A warning would have been nice. It's super yummy though and I'll make it again, I'll just not add that much chili haha (did not add jalapeno peppers or any other heat too)
Meal prep is a Great idea! I just have one request- Can you show us or tell us the menu at the start of the video? I don’t like wondering what the end product will be.
The fact you give us free PDFs should qualify you for a Noble Peace Price

Honestly the hardest thing for me was working out how to put the lid on correctly and have it in place so the steam wasn't escaping, but then saw a clever tip in a short video showing how to do it by focusing on the back of the pressure cooker and first putting the lid on turned away from the condensation cup which helped to line it up brilliantly, and from there you hear the correct little beeping song that you're looking for and can easily lock it into place, brilliant! :)
So now I'm all set to make lots of different dishes using this clever tool, so happy! And you have lots of good ones I can try, I already made your lentil and potato soup which was nice, so am looking forward to trying out many more soon. Thank you for your help, and the guide of how to make the chili in the pressure cooker, will do that one soon! :)
This is great especially for Ramadan don't want to be cooking all the time
That's an excellent point. I can imagine it would be very difficult to cook when you are fasting. Happy this is helpful for you!
When do you eat during ramadan? I thought you couldnt eat during ramadan? (Im sorry if this sounds offensive but im actually curious)
Rachel X you can eat, but since you can’t eat during daylight hours (one meal before dawn, one meal after dusk) some may prefer to prep meals so they don’t have to wake up even earlier, and cook late at night. Ramadan lasts far too long (a month) to not eat at all.
sillysiblingstuff oh yeah, a month of not eating is too long yeah. Thank you for explaining😋
_T_ __ That’s what I thought too. 😊
YUMMMMM thank you I've been feeling in a rut, definitely going to try these recipes
You are so welcome! I figured I wasn't the only one in an eating rut these days!
Yum looks delicious i am making all soon perfect for my office lunches after the circuit breaker month finishes in Singapore will make all with few subs drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
Hi Ramya, I hope you are doing well and staying safe :) Thank you!
I made the chili and added the two tablespoons of chili powder. My god, it's so hard for me to eat it, but I will because I don't want to waste any food. I'm no stranger to spicy food, but I'm having a hard time with this one. A warning would have been nice. It's super yummy though and I'll make it again, I'll just not add that much chili haha (did not add jalapeno peppers or any other heat too)
all these were easy n bomb 😊
Thank you thank you thank you SO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meal prep is a Great idea! I just have one request- Can you show us or tell us the menu at the start of the video? I don’t like wondering what the end product will be.
Noted :) I usually do that, but looks like I forgot to do that in this video.
Love your stuff
