Something to add about the Sulfur Sun section is how the Day 2 Morning Message says "Under the Sulfur Sun". The music that plays when you are at the Hollow Tower after sleeping, when talking with Per'kele is also called "Under the Sulfur Sun" as well. Combine that with the 'Sulfur Sun' mentioned by Hugo in his notes, this shows that the Sulfur Sun is absolutely in reference to the Sulfur God, which then links the Sulfur God to the Sun God, further suggesting the idea that the human Alll-Mer ascended from the traces of the Sun God.
We also know that Alll-Mer ascended from the Sun God because Alll-Mer is BALD fr fr no cap. This is very important because this optimizes the way that the Sun can shine off of his shiny, bald head at 100% efficiency. His head is also round, just like the Sun.
The whole "All-mer existed as a seed" etc could be related to Gro-Goroth, but I took it as just another reference to Christianity. In the Gospel of John (and alluded to in many of Paul's Epistles), Christ did not first come into existence when he was born of the Virgin Mary, but his person had always existed, since he was always apart of the godhead. "In the beginning was the Word (greek - Logos, way, reason, etc), the Word was with God, and the Word was God,". Paul often talks about how nothing in the (material universe) was created except by Christ. When Christ was born physically, his personhood assumed the human nature while still retaining the divine nature he had from the beginning. So when All-mer is alluded to have already existed before his "birth", it is still following the Jesus parallel.
I have a terrifying idea for you to consider. Did you think Christ was the last & only manifestation of Divinity? He's not the only one that can reincarnate or have a second coming.
I don't know what to say. The bit about Gro-Goroth is just so...wrong and right at the same time. Like, Gro-Goroth is revered as a god by everyone. But that bit about Gro-Goroth being All-Mer's father is just... kind of make sense? In Gnosticism, as human can not create a perfect man, no matter what they tried, God himself gave a piece of him to them and they made Jesus with it. So, if that "piece" is Gro-Goroth's seed, then it'd make sense. But Gro-Goroth cannot be a false god... Unless Vitruvian's husband is another New God but her husband isn't the real father.
I star to think that if Allmer took the part of amon that is about order, then Sulfur took the part of enlightment. Like Perkele talk about human being mediocrity and wanting freedom, while this is him being trap, it also about him wanting to get out the rule of "self serving" morality. In a way, Sulfur is self interest enlightment.
😂😂 nope guys, only special people got that rizz, like his wife Sylvian and her handmaiden, Vitruvia. Welp, guess we need to max our flirting skills in the wolf 🐺 cult
I believe this goes farther. The sun god is RA, and while Sulphur is the mjolnir, the other reminds me of Mithras. I think, again big maybe here, but these are all depictions of religions that christianity overcame, while absorbing bits of them into itself to make the transition easier. Either way, the layers at work here are incredible.
Mjolnir also has a meaning being Destruction, which fits really well into what happened to sulfur and what his followers do. Miro is playing 5D chess bruh
You actually persuaded me. I have seen many lore videos but I think your take on this is 100% right. Especially what makes the Old Gods and New Gods. I went in thinking that Alll-mer was the demiurge but now I'm taking your interpretation as fact.
I like this video a lot. I also suspected that All-Mer might have ascended to godhood with Gro-Goroth's "help". Now it makes much more sence. Also your version of the story is written beautifully. Thank you, I will look forward to watching more lore videos on Funger!
Vitruvian carrying the seed has both Christian and Greek mythological support. As Mary’s birth was without original sin from her mother and Venus was born from “foam” from Uranus’ genitals. One is the mother of God, the other is known to birth the Roman people through Aeneas. Vitruvian’s form takes from the depictions of both if you examine the pose and state of dress from famous works. In further support of this, Venus bedded Mars (God of War aka destruction) which is very easy to connect to Gro-goroth. Also, call me crazy but God of War was released earlier in the year of fear and hunger, could the “False God” be related to Kratos, the false god of war? And Venus was said to “lift Caesar’s soul to heaven” so a direct connection to Allmer. If we slap together Mother Mary’s story with Venus, I think that the game theory that Vitruvian was made of the seed of Gro-goroth, as in she is literally the seed (the “foam” like Venus), and also birthed a child by self-fertilization (aka a virgin) makes a lot more sense.
More Axo-Loretol, LET’S GOO!!! A lot of interesting things you pointed out here: the gods as opposites, Jesus as a psychological concept, Alll-mer's means of ascension. That last one, about absorbing an old god to ascend, made me think of Touhou 11, where a hell raven was guided into devouring the corpse of a yatagarasu, the sun crow, to acquire the power of nuclear fusion (quite the stretch, yeah, but the similarity makes my brain happy) I didn't know about Jung's interpretation of Jesus. And considering most of the Persona series is inspired by his theories, then that means Jesus could be a Persona! Make him a summon already, Atlus you cowards! Anyway, ramble over. Great seeing another video from you. And I'm intrigued what this "other game" will be, huhuhu.
So if we took all the goods as psychological phenomena. we have: Gro goroth: thanos principle. the idea of harm the other Sylvian: the Eros principle, the odea of copulation as creation God of the depth: it seen to be the It, the god if basic neesity. Rher: the god of the shadow, the part we dont like out of self Amon: the god of personas, the part we need to talk to each other vinshuka: here is me speculating but I will said is good of balance, the idea of conecting with everything else, as sort of balance. which is why legard want to use it Sarko: dunno, it seen to be the god of soul and fate and oposite to god of the deapth Turkil: I belive is probably the god of animals and therefore a darwinian law one, kill or be killed Asended gods: Algiz: tyrany, the idea of a new order that need to be cast out, I belive legard wanted to become the new Algiz. -Sulfur: a corruption of enlightmen, the idea of be set free from the moral of people, at sort of inversion I will said. -God of fear and Hunger: Mostly resiliance. she took the part of us that see the darkness and decide to continue after all. In short a mix of "when you look to the abyss" and "what dosent kill you". -Logic: probably the part of balance, she is a machine god who conection other people by eliminating the self...a sort of instrumentality if you want.
Really cool video, the funny black glasses dude was right all along who would had said it. Also i would like you to considerar that maybe Algiz is not his ego but his shadow, kalev says as follows: "Cast away, so that true absolution could be reached. Cast away deep, all the way down to the sulfuric pits. But which one was it that got cast away? The conscious or the sub-conscious of the ascended one? If you continue carving idols, big enough to rival the old world order - You won't know which side of you prevails. It could just as well be you who gets squashed as your shadow runs loose." I think he aligns more with Shadow Possesion than with ego Inflation, as you can see in the church he was really violent and sexually abusive showing extreme reactions, he is angry, revels against authority, and in some sorts revels against his personality of love and pacifism as you say with the spells of bread and wine and water walking. It also isnt completely said that he ruled, just that his teachings were what ruled society, he could had given his apostles his thoughts and they put it on the "New testament" of this world, an inversion of the irl new testament being the more pacifist one the old testament and the more violent one the new testament in the world of funger, this would also explain his death, when he fullfilled his purpose of revelion he didnt feelt needed in this world anymore and left, only his traces remained helping others to enact vengace like the ancestors of Dárce as we see in her book of memories. I also think there is a theme of ascended gods leaving when their objective was fullfilled and only leaving traces behind like how gofah leaved once the humans were pushed towards tecnological progress. Based on the later is probable that the rulers of the new old world were the 11 apostles not Algiz. His ego part then was the one casted into the sulfur pits, but with the inmense suffering of "hell" it became a twisted being more akin to a shadow, a shadowed ego, the worst of both worlds. I think his ego if it had won the battle would probably had been a being similar to logic, a god that wanted unity and love but being blinded by this and not being able to understand the importance of pain and struggle, the difference with logic is that she is more akin to a "Self" than to an "Ego" and that also has more data to analize and because of it it is less blind that this hipotethical "good Sulfur god" and maybe she is able to understand that pain is important for happiness to exist but we will have to wait for funger 3 to see how a "Machine Self" would be.
Its confirmed on the sulfur skill "Longinus", it says that Longinus is a faint trace from the shadow that was cast away. Confirming Sulfur is the shadow.
My conclusion: Your pronunciation of Nietzsche is VERY good for a non-German, basically saying Nie(as in "knee") and tzsche(as in "CHE Guevara"). Also, the rest of the video is quite satisfactory too
Couldn't Vitruvia have doinked Vinushka to make bb Alll-Mer, propogating the Gro-Goroth seed via his son and extending the lineage and explaining why Alll-Mer has access to his blood magic? It's his grandpa's secret techniques. And it would also explain why he has the Inverse Crown of Thorns spell - plants/nature from Vinushka! 🌹
Also, it intersting how legard company is the MIDNIGHT SUN. after all you said about Amon. I wonder if that have any relevance between Legard, how he become the yellow king(a solar king?) the fact the girl is born of a human origin with a new god(false god?).....I think one can see the parallels
@@HeathThen No, Miro said midnight sun is a reference to a event in the same name that happen in some part of the world were the sun can be see at night. some of those places is findland were Miro is.
Jesus wasn't born in jerusalem. He was born in bethlehem. Also, Algiz never stood for anything except its phoneme and name. The idea that it stood for anything on its own is a modern invention.
Its very interesting how much of a perfect inversion all-mer's story is of Jesus. Algiz's vengeance is exactly the messiah the hebrews of the time wanted, Judas wanted Jesus to subjugate the world for YHWH, and Kalev wanted the gentle all-mer to be the god of mercy and rejects this subjugation. I fall in and out of Christianity over my life as I struggle with the duality of the old testaments vengeful, even genocidal God and the new testament recording God begging for the forgiveness of His murderers. So far I've decided some unobservable metaphysical truth doesn't really matter, I'll just keep loving everyone (or at least trying to) and hope whatever creator is out there sees my efforts.
Hey, I just want to say that God is just and everything He does, He does for a good reason. Some things might sound harsh, but He is the creator of everything and lawmaker, but thankfully His rules are good, it's just that, we cannot follow the rules because of our sinful nature and He is aware of that, but He doesn't want to lose us, nor give up on us, and that's why He sent Jesus so we could be justified and saved through Him. He is rich in mercy, but He is also just, which means He's always offering us to repent of our sins, but if we don't want to and we choose to continue living without him, the only option for us is to be punished and the wage of sin is death. God warned the people of Noah's time for many years, but they kept living in sin so He flooded the Earth, He also warned Cannanites for 400 years to repent, they also kept living in sin, so He ordered His people to kill them. It is harsh, but it's undeniably just. If you are still undecided I would recommend you to read the Bible from His perspective, maybe you will understand His decisions and why He made them. Have a blessed day :)
@@vukasinstanic12 I was actually secretly hoping I could explain my viewpoint on this, so here's some yapping. I believe we were made to love each other, and that to think is a blessing. The Christian God is the religion I am most drawn to because Jesus had nothing but love, so much he died for everyone even if no one deserved his sacrifice. If I continue living my life to be loving, forgiving, and humble, but not particularly obedient or pious there are a few outcomes I've spent a lot of time thinking about. 1. There is no afterlife: one of the better outcomes, whether my soul was annihilated or there was no god, now its not my problem and I passed on love to other living people who will pass it on before they die. 2. I go to heaven: God is even more forgiving than I expected, yipee! 3. I go to a permanent and painful hell: God is evil. Hands down there is no justification for eternal torment and I never wanted to play an evil creator's game regardless of how terrible my fate is anyway. Luckily I find this unlikely by most religions, including Christianity. 4. I go to a purgatorial hell: I find this to be the most likely, and is hopefully more like a lesson in what I did wrong than just a spiritual spanking. I can understand I'm not perfect and there will be sins I don't repent for because my ego is too big, but I'll take my lumps if its temporary even if that temporary is a thousand lifetimes. There are quite a few reasons I believe this if you're interested. I don't believe in a benevolent God just because of this pascal's wager-esque chart though, I really have faith that the capacity for love is humanity's greatest strength.
@N8_MODEL_0001 I'm glad you are aware of the fact that the key element of our beings is Love, and I would like to share with you what Bible teaches us about love. "Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their brother and sister." 1 John 4:7-21
@@vukasinstanic12A just and loving god would never send people to hell for unbelieving since he must know that there is not enough reason to do so. An all knowing deity would surely understand that people just don’t have enough proof to believe, and he wouldn’t judge them based on that fact. That would be incredibly unjust, but it is possible that the bible just got mistranslated.
@romannikolaev2970 Oh, you got that wrong. God isn't sending anyone to hell Himself, we choose our own path according to our own desires, and because God respects us and our choice, He will allow us to spend eternity with or without Him. If man doesn't want God in his life, God will still fight for him till the man's last breath, because he loves him and wants to give him eternal life, but a man refuses God's offer, and God has no choice but to give him what he wants and that's a separation from God which we know as hell. Faith is important because that's how we claim the salvation of Christ. We are saved by God's grace through faith. Just picture God reaching His own hand to save you from your own fall, but it is up to you whether you are going to grab His hand or not.
5:20 did his influence really diminish? Because D'Arce, The Dark Priests in the fist floor and Ser Seymor explicitly say they're devoted to Alll'mer. And it's also implied that most of Rondon is too.
You brought up Turkil in this and I was wondering if you have any plans related to him? Going by your theory of the gods being listed by their opposites, being placed between Gro-Goroth & Vinushka (destruction & nature) should make him the god or construction/innovation, making him the Blacksmith god of the pantheon (like Hephaestus) I'm seeing people on the wiki calling him the God of animals & insects (due to this symbol looking like a bug), but that has over lap with the God of the Depths & Vinuska What are your thoughts on this?
@@TheBlackSerpentBeta I like to at least have some sort of evidence to base my theories (even if they are insane) so unfortunately when it comes to Turkil we literally know nothing except he appears in pocketcat's book. But apparently this turkil is not the same as the god. I also think that Logic is the one that embodies civilization and progress, it's hard to think what's the opposite of nature because nature is already the union of opposites. My intuition tells me he might have something to do with death, but I can't even say why I think that.
5:24 i dont believe that the fellowship came after Alllmer, because we know that before tje Fellowship, Nas'Rah was in the city and before another god. So Alllmer disapear 5 centuries after his ascencion at least
Totalitarianism is only the worship of the state in that it is the worship of power, which happens to be embodied in the state, but its usually more about a real or abstract figurehead that embodies that power and the weak can pretend to draw a portion of that power from.
The Sulfur God makes me laugh. He looks evil and scary but then that worm pops out like 👅 and it looks silly to me. Alll-Mer really is an evil Jesus. With a much more complex origin story. But this “psychological Jesus” is an interesting theory. I’ll have to look more into this. I mean it really seems to be a psychological yin-yang thing. It’s the balance between the primal instincts of humanity and the conscious mind that can have self control. Actually it seems like a more complex concept of Id, Ego, and Superego. Tho I reject the idea that Jesus separated himself. And that his darker, primitive side was reborn as the Devil. The Jewish teachings of Genesis are that when God makes man “like us” it’s in reference to God and the animals he finished making. There’s that same duality. This was how we were meant to be. And to shed his humanity as Christ would defeat the purpose of him coming in mortal form. To sacrifice himself for the sins of all mankind required him to be both human and divine. It wouldn’t be necessary to shed that part of himself. That’s what makes him different from God the Father while still being an aspect of him. His Triune nature would just be a dualistic one. God the Father and God the Son would have no difference. Leaving only the Holy Spirit. I hope that made sense idk if it did. It’s 2 am and I can’t sleep but I’m still tired. 34:01 I think a lot about our dualistic nature. We need to see a balance. And seek that balance in all things. We have a tendency to be all or nothing in everything. Like religion and politics. When there is a more measured way to do things. And we need to strive to be measured in our actions. To balance ourselves with our gift of higher thinking.
Okay I have a question and an alternate conclusion. I'll try to keep it short. Question, 14:05 When is a god of order ever mentioned or established? It can't be gro-goroth because sylvian / creation is his opposite. There is no order in destruction alone. 16:50 I feel like everything leading up to this was mostly on the right track but I think the conclusion here is wrong. 14:38 If we follow your theme of opposites and pairs I think it would be somthing like: Sylvian = creation / healing / birth gro-goroth = destruction / death Amon = sun = (my theory) enlightenment / revelation / strength Rher = moon = madness / deception Vinushka = nature / flora Turkil = (theory online) animals / beasts (my theory) Mankind / maybe related to vitruvia somehow? ??? = god of the depths / the forgotten and ignored (only old god with no real name) Sarko = god of stars / (my theory) the unknown / the soul / (theory online) fate and finally Alll-mer = Order / vengence Sulfer = Chaos / blind fury Like with the god of fear and hunger I think if we continue to see more, all the accended gods will be embodiments of some aspect of the human condition rather than forces of nature or aspcet of reality. All-mer and sulfer are maybe embodiments of how we respond to profound suffering? The things we might crave as a result? The dual god of suffering. The collective god of anguish.
(please forgive me if this comment doubled.. anyway!) Thank you for this vid, it is super high quality and i deeply enjoyed listening to your theory. I think the reading of algiz and sulfer as the god of domination/totalitarianism and the god of anarchy really brings out the imagery of christianity in the game. With algiz, a supposed symbol of hope, it mimics the way the irl religion colonized others because of its ego. Framing algiz as the necessary good, and sulfer being the overlooked self. Also, i feel the gro-goroth connection is great! I think it makes sense because it was vitruvian who wanted to create the being and that the father is always mentioned in passing. anyway, super nice vid! i would like to ask though, do you think in fh3 there wld be a release of whom is all-mer's father or would it be like, all-mer's father isnt needed in the context of his lore because the vision of all-mer can already be analyzed without it?
@@dezn2327 Thank you for the review. To answer your question... I really wish I knew, lol. FH3 probably won't be too focused on the gods (according to the creator) so there is a big chance the identity of Alll-mer's parents will be overlooked. I don't think it's necessary for making an analysis of him, but if it's a big point of controversy within the community maybe he'll feel like he has to address it somehow.

In Gnosticism, as human can not create a perfect man, no matter what they tried, God himself gave a piece of him to them and they made Jesus with it. So, if that "piece" is Gro-Goroth's seed, then it'd make sense.
But Gro-Goroth cannot be a false god... Unless Vitruvian's husband is another New God but her husband isn't the real father.
loved the video, in all seriousness it literally puts religion, god and the devil into a perspective you don't really think about
fantastic work!

I am so glad you are still continuing youtube.
I can't really make any connections based on this detail, but the Sulfur God's head is shaped like the Norse Mjolnir, a symbol of Thor.
And Algiz it the name of a norse rune. Algiz's sigil is also the actual algiz rune. There is for sure some norse flavour in the imagery.

That last one, about absorbing an old god to ascend, made me think of Touhou 11, where a hell raven was guided into devouring the corpse of a yatagarasu, the sun crow, to acquire the power of nuclear fusion (quite the stretch, yeah, but the similarity makes my brain happy)
I didn't know about Jung's interpretation of Jesus. And considering most of the Persona series is inspired by his theories, then that means Jesus could be a Persona! Make him a summon already, Atlus you cowards!

So if we took all the goods as psychological phenomena. we have:
Gro goroth: thanos principle. the idea of harm the other
Sylvian: the Eros principle, the odea of copulation as creation
God of the depth: it seen to be the It, the god if basic neesity.
Rher: the god of the shadow, the part we dont like out of self
Amon: the god of personas, the part we need to talk to each other
vinshuka: here is me speculating but I will said is good of balance, the idea of conecting with everything else, as sort of balance. which is why legard want to use it
Sarko: dunno, it seen to be the god of soul and fate and oposite to god of the deapth
Turkil: I belive is probably the god of animals and therefore a darwinian law one, kill or be killed
Asended gods:
Algiz: tyrany, the idea of a new order that need to be cast out, I belive legard wanted to become the new Algiz.

Just wanted to say that this video would be 100x better without the annoying loud ass discord notification sound spam at 3:54, fuck that.

This is really well written and well researched.
Jesus wasn't born in jerusalem. He was born in bethlehem.
Also, Algiz never stood for anything except its phoneme and name. The idea that it stood for anything on its own is a modern invention.
You pronounced it well enough.
And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their brother and sister."
1 John 4:7-21
My head canon is that Vitruvia was retroactively made a god by giving birth to all-mer.

Going by your theory of the gods being listed by their opposites, being placed between Gro-Goroth & Vinushka (destruction & nature) should make him the god or construction/innovation, making him the Blacksmith god of the pantheon (like Hephaestus)
I'm seeing people on the wiki calling him the God of animals & insects (due to this symbol looking like a bug), but that has over lap with the God of the Depths & Vinuska
What are your thoughts on this?
@@TheBlackSerpentBeta I like to at least have some sort of evidence to base my theories (even if they are insane) so unfortunately when it comes to Turkil we literally know nothing except he appears in pocketcat's book. But apparently this turkil is not the same as the god. I also think that Logic is the one that embodies civilization and progress, it's hard to think what's the opposite of nature because nature is already the union of opposites. My intuition tells me he might have something to do with death, but I can't even say why I think that.

Totalitarianism is only the worship of the state in that it is the worship of power, which happens to be embodied in the state, but its usually more about a real or abstract figurehead that embodies that power and the weak can pretend to draw a portion of that power from.
People thought All-mer was evil Jesus?
Miro had no right to make Sulfur that zesty.
Frapollo is the real god of Fear & Hunger
Okay I have a question and an alternate conclusion. I'll try to keep it short.
Question, 14:05 When is a god of order ever mentioned or established? It can't be gro-goroth because sylvian / creation is his opposite. There is no order in destruction alone.
16:50 I feel like everything leading up to this was mostly on the right track but I think the conclusion here is wrong. 14:38 If we follow your theme of opposites and pairs I think it would be somthing like:
Sylvian = creation / healing / birth
gro-goroth = destruction / death
Amon = sun = (my theory) enlightenment / revelation / strength
Rher = moon = madness / deception
Vinushka = nature / flora
Turkil = (theory online) animals / beasts (my theory) Mankind / maybe related to vitruvia somehow?
??? = god of the depths / the forgotten and ignored (only old god with no real name)
Sarko = god of stars / (my theory) the unknown / the soul / (theory online) fate
and finally
Alll-mer = Order / vengence
Sulfer = Chaos / blind fury
Like with the god of fear and hunger I think if we continue to see more, all the accended gods will be embodiments of some aspect of the human condition rather than forces of nature or aspcet of reality.
@@shadowtheaxolotl OMG THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY, also I see! I didn't know it wouldnt be god-based. But Omg i hope miro would address it so maybe it can finally put to rest, and also add more insight into all-mer.
