The game is done there just polishing it. But they should release like a short gameplay demo or something because we really need it.
@@abrahimali7167 Polishing is the %90 of a game tho. Bugs and adjustment are the most time consuming things when doing a game especially with a good Ai and open worlds.

I liked how the main character from the first season played the role honestly. I understand what they're doing with the story though
Only the 1st season the blew the second season and tried to reset why they did with the first

When I first heard of cyberpunk 2077 was when they revealed Keanu would be in it. I thought it was just a cheap way to generate hype so I wrote the game off. Because I've got nothing else to do I wanted to learn everything I could about the most hyped games and gave Cyberpunk a fair shake. I'm so glad I did, I realized that the Reeves reveal was way after the game had a bunch of hype and I had no idea how much of the back story is already written and established for this game. So I am very very excited.

@@Noodlecow2 I mean I'm blatantly admitting that I'm a new fan. I only wrote off the game initially because I thought they were trying to use a super star to generate hype. But yeah lets attack the new fans. Must be one of those Warframe vets

I like this channel.
"Forward compatible" is a great thing. Even though I am willing to buy upgraded versions of my favorite games if they are actually decently upgraded (not just slapped on a new disk and called upgraded), I'm all for the idea of them being free if you already own the original. Helps with preserving game history as well as keeping those favorites around instead of needing emulators and tons of setup to keep them working.

Anyone else realizing that Keanu Reeves basically said that John is alive during his interview with IGN?

Well, to paraphrase what Keanu said he mentioned that there was a moment of maybe death....but I'm (John as in Keanu) is still around.
It's well known fact that John appears as a electronic character in your mind, but when Keanu brings up the "dead or not dead" scenario it raises some questions!
Further more we never got a confirmation of his death from the tabletop games and his whereabouts is classified as missing. Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk universe, states in an interview that John's body was never found. He continues by saying that humans lifespan grew exponentially thanks to cyber-tech making it possible to reach ages up to 120-150 years old.
If it would be the case that John in fact didn't die he would be somewhere around 110-120+ in the game, comparable to 60-70 years old today!
I personally believe that Johnny Silverhand, albeit older and a bit rugged, somehow inserted a chip in the players mind and makes them subliminally follow through on his agenda and towards the end of the game the player will face him and have his destiny in their hands. But that's just speculations and only time will tell us if I'm somewhat right!
Yeah Keanu Reeves’ character is basically an AI that is an exact copy if himself. In the lore his girlfriend uploaded herself to the net so theoretically Johnny made a backup of himself incase he died, kinda like stacks in Altered Carbon, so Johnny probably DID die but his backup remained.
Johnny has the 2nd highest amount of voicelines.
I have never heard of so many nukes being used in any storyline ever. The fallout in this game must be insane.
Yeah it's weird, I know they wrote this stuff in the 80's but surely they knew what MAD was already given that they were in the cold war. And as our timeline has shown, you don't need nukes to fuck shit up on a systematic level.

I'm kind of disappointed that Rockerboy isn't a selectable core class because it was my second most played role in my Cyberpunk 2020 days, and brief Cyberpunk 203x period but if its a selectable background I'll make a Rockerboy Techie my first run (Techie was my most played role with Rockerboy in second, and Netrunner in third). My first Rockerboy character actually resulted from me scrapping my planned Techie character for an upcoming campaign after playing Revolution X for the first time and decided I wanted to try a Rockerboy.

I was looking forward to a Nomad build myself.
Not being able to make the class you want sucks but at least the Nomad background is there. The question is how will backgrounds affect skills and will the background combined with one of the three classes allow what you want in the build..
All of this information is old news for anyone keeping up to date with Cyberpunk lore channels like TheNeonArcade, but should serve as a good starting point for the uninitiated.
Damn, thats a mind blowing observation. What if, as a nod to Neuromancer, Johnny silverhand is indeed dead but his character is a nod to McCoy Pauley, aka Dixie "Flatline"? What if Johnny is just a mind save that helps the player character navigate the story like a sort of Dante character from the Divine Inferno?

I think the district in Night City called Watson is what inspired the Cyberpunked skin for Wattson in Apex Legends

I obviously can’t get my hands on this right now, but I’d wholeheartedly recommend both Deus Ex: Human Revolution / Mankind Divided, both great futuristic / dystopian RPGs.
Nice coverage. I owned and played the original (2013) and 2020 games plus read most of the novels back in the day and haven't seen a TH-cam video on 2077 that was good and also covered the history of the game and genre.

Cool video, but I had a few gripes: You didn't mention that Blade Runner had key points of reference for Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk and the full release of Cyberpunk RED isn't out yet: What you mentioned was the Jumpstart Kit, which for anyone who doesn't know, is just an introduction to the new tabletop game. Cyberpunk RED deals with canon lore from 2020 to 2060 (there are alternative timelines in the Pondsmith Cyberpunk universe), but all we know are events that took place up to 2045 (the current year that Cyberpunk RED is played in). [CD Projekt Red (game developers of Cyberpunk 2077) will deal with canon lore from 2060 to 2077].
But major props for mentioning Bruce Bethke for coining 'cyberpunk' as people often misquote Gibson for coining the term. (Gibson coined 'cyberspace')👍

It was said that Cyberpunk: Red was released in 2019, but the actual core rulebook isn't set to release until June 2020
Was it just me or did anyone else notice at 4:43 he says the US engaged in war but showed a British soldier with an SA80.
The combat system of Cyberpunk 2020 can actually be ran as a standalone game called Friday Night Firefights and is probably one of the best pen and paper versions of gun fights.
I was lucky enough to find a copy of Cyberpunk 2020 at Powels Books in Portland. Too bad it looks like that place won't survive the pandemic.

The full version of RED isn't available yet. The "Jumpstart Kit" which is basically just a taster for the game is available but is really limited due to it being incomplete still.
Literally everything new I hear about this game I get even more excited to spend years on it

Also, there was a release from Billy Idol in the early to mid 90s called "Cyberpunk" (creative title there).
When you get the 2044 red starter kit, read all of it and have nothing else to learn that youtube could inform about😭😭😭😭 i need this game now....
This is all realistic stuff that could have happened, so close to happening you could just say it probably has played out this way in another alternative universe

is nice to see Cyberpunk get some love but still wish Shadowrun got more love...the sega genesis one still the best version (the harebrained games were alright, but the franchise could benefit from a AAA title..)

You said the player character was a huge Johnny silverhand fan but that’s not exactly true cuz you are given three options on who your childhood hero is and Johnny was one of them
Take a look at The First 48 minutes gameplay of Cyberpunk, in The back story u can see that If u choose The Nomad backstory, u r a fan of Johny Silver Hand, If u r a street boy u r a fan of Morgan Black Hand, and The last was The japanese Guy that i dont remember Well The name hahahahah
So maybe depends on your backstory, a diferent "ghost" Will be your companion
And maybe Johny can also be your enemy

To be fair Ghost in the Sheel came out after Cyberpunk 2013 and 2020 were released, but it is mentioned in the notes and "cool resources" section of the reprints of the CyberPunk 2020 rulebook.
