I just don't see how anyone can say that this looks graphically superior to any other game released in the last 5 years. Also, can we please have firearms that are carried with straps instead of magic back magnets?
I think the last of us is one of the only games I've noticed where they even cared about this kind of detail where weapons actually slot into straps on the side of your bag or are slung over the characters shoulder.. if you're showing characters in 3rd person this should be required. Back magnets and weapons pulled out of thin air is so whack in games that are trying to look realistic and immersive. Also nothing makes me cringe more than combat systems where weapons swing through enemies bodies and take hits off a HP bar without even the enemy reacting physically from each hit.
The enemy ai is also seriously dumb I mean wtf how is it that a soldier who you know would be trained in hand to hand combat is less of a threat than a zombie from resident evil
exactly what I was thinking too. Just looks devoid of any grit, character and looks sterile. We'll see what it eventually becomes, but it gives me shades of MGSV when it debuted as a demo. essentially, that looked pretty without any real substance.
Capcom had a big vote to see what fans liked and wanted and they got a lot of support for dmc, breath of fire, okami, and megaman. Even onimusha got a lot of love, of those surveyed, most people wanted them to reboot old ip.
oh yes, someone who really knows.. 🙂 maybe you could share with us which video games in your experience that were the most helpful? i am curious if i happen to have any of them.
Videos games during the pandemic made life 100% better/more satisfying. Especially when Animal Crossing came out, such a nice and chill vibe game that can be played alone or with family/friends. It made for some good times in the very worst of times.
Ok but at least watchdogs had that hack anything gimmick going for it, this has literally nothing new. These "devs" are so creatively bankrupt they even had to put bullet time into the "gameplay just so it didn't come of as another MGS wannabe
What I want Capcom to revive is Breath of Fire and Mega Man Legends. Really, I wouldn't mind them finishing the Mega Man X storyline as there were hints of something more off of Axl's ending in X8. I'd also appreciate them porting the Mega Man Starforce games to newer consoles. Of course, I highly doubt I'll get any of that.
Wow another hyperealistic game with gameplay as deep as a puddle and a world that's just a bunch of empty hallways ... I can see COD fans excited about this!🙄

People like Black Myth Wukong because it does what it says on the tin and there's no bs. No bs live service. Overpriced pre-release special editions. No microtransactions. No poor quickly churned out dlc. No season pass. No endless collectable grind. A fun, straight forward single player game that doesn't overstay its welcome. It's refreshing in this gaming space.
Would love to see some thermal energy put back into the Lost Planet games. The first and second ones were awesome. I still play them from time to time. The 3rd one kinda sucked..

the hyper-realistic games are something i want to see more of. the sea looked ok but the ship itself was uncanny to reality. it seems promising. just glad to see more games like this.
No offense, but I would advise against such a focus on graphics. In my experience more often than not it means shallow, repetitive gameplay. The deepest, most charming and innovative games I know either have stylized graphics and/or aren't even 3D. If you ask me other aspects should be improved and deserve more attention, like enemy AI. Like, this RTX craze for example seems fairly silly to me. As if I suddenly were gonna enjoy some games more just because they can flash that shiny new-ish stuff at me. You know what game, among others, was also advertised with RTX? The Day Before - and we all know how that worked out. Imho we've reached a point where graphics are at a sort of max already and where there isn't much further to go or where more might just be distracting the player or requiring too much effort from the devs that would be better used elsewhere. I think good artstyle will always beat this generic, bland, hyperrealistic imaginery that seems to becoming more common. I mean it's still interesting to see what can be done. But as a gamer I would be careful with what I wish for in games. Some people are all doomy gloomy and keep saying that gaming sucks totally nowadays. This graphics craze might be one reason. Some devs are definitely getting away with making good-looking games that offer little beyond that, so obviously in some cases questionable priorities are being set. I can appreciate realistic 3D graphics every now and then too as I'm a sucker for photo modes. But still.
I remember when Black Myth Wukong was shown on this channel in 2020 during the pandemic and omg the excitement I felt was going through the roof lol. I still have the video saved. I’m happy the game finally came out and is getting a lot of love
Re: video games and mental health. In 2020 I was in the worst depression of my life. FF7R came out and it gave me something to look forward to and play. Just my experience.
I don’t care how pretty your game looks, if your gameplay sucks, your game sucks. Games like both the new god of wars look pretty but play terribly, therefore they are terrible games, but games like Elden Ring and Sekiro look ok at best, but have amazing gameplay, therefore they are amazing
Agreed, except for God of War. They are awesome games, sure the gameplay might not be the best but it's more than good enough. It is simply your opinion and one that does not matter. If your opinion had any truth to it then God of War wouldn't be GOTY. It's not just because of graphics but because of good gameplay and good story. It has it all. Those two GoW games aren't terrible, your taste is. They are the rare good AAA games. Imagine playing through them and calling them bad. Don't call yourself a gamer, you are a fake.
I agree with the first half of your comment. A pretty game isnt necessarily a better game. But i disagree with what you said about the new GoW. Both games played amazingly for me and i am pretty sure for alot of other people too.
You must be joking. It’s literally the opposite. The new God of War’s play amazingly and have some very cool mechanics. Elden ring and sekiro are both just souls games with a different character and setting. Personally, I’m extremely exhausted by the soulslike genre. I’m not saying they’re bad games, just that they’re not exactly anything new or innovative.

The thing is, they didn't make those graphics, they bought them, so the props go to the people who made those assets, not the devs that stitched them together awkwardly with a portal gimmick so that they don't have to actually make any levels or even pieces of levels themselves.
Multilayer games makes the most $ but hopefully, devs see the likes of wukong success and start making full-blown single play games again rather than mp flops
Exactly, video games does not need to look ultra realistic, they are video games, it just needs to look good enough, the gameplay is the real deal, this is one reason why stellar blade did well, and it was even developed using ue4.

This has nothing to do with dopamine levels. It's about mental well-being. Dopamine levels do not necessarily correlate with mental well-being. There are a lot of drugs that increase dopamine levels, but have a negative effect on mental well-being.
Capcom should 100% bring back Shadow of Rome. Maybe pick up after that cliffhanger so they don't have to worry about remastering it wrong and angering people. I feel like games today need a NOT souls-like arcade-y smash hit.
Avowed 30fps? Even the ORIGINAL xbox has many games with 60fps, which is at least tens of times weaker. Devs should just give the option to lower the settings to get 60fps....
Well it’s groundbreaking in sales so that’s gotta count for something lol. I wonder how all these companies trend chasing live service and micro transactions will react to a Chinese mythology game selling 10m units? Is someone at EA whiteboarding a sun wukong hero shooter right now?
How can it be GOTY and not ground breaking at all? There are so many games released this year that are actually unique and groundbreaking why choose this game over those?
Having only relatively recently picked up Civilization VI, I will say that taking much of the resources of a decent-sized empire and hundreds and hundreds of years to successfully lay siege to a single city-state gets old fast. Adding complexity to systems is not necessarily the same thing as _improving_ those systems.
@@GamerbyDesign It would have been worth it if the game was a great game and had replayability, but really its just a generic beat um up with deadpool humour in it. Worth 1 playthrough at best, hence just pirate it. Its abandonware.
DIY is risky because of the market's volatility. To succeed in investing, you do not have to figure out who will be the next NVDA. Select dividend aristocrats, premium ETFs, and a reliable advisor. An amazing accomplishment occurred when I converted $180k into $20k in quarterly dividends.
When greater market diversification begins to emerge before the end of 2024, investors should, in my opinion, always put their money to work. About $350,000 of my funds are intended to be invested in equities over the upcoming year. In 2025, I want to be millionaires.
Now that the risk is at an all-time high, maybe you should exercise a bit more patience and come back when the risk has subsided. As an alternative, you can get strategic advice from a qualified financial specialist.

It’s definitely getting a little old. But I at least appreciate that at least it’s not another mtx driven live service sort of deal. Not horribly incomplete to drive DLC sales etc etc. So I’m not hyped to play Black Myth but I’m hyped to see a game be successful without the usual big title gaming cancers attached.
@@johnvalliant261 while I agree with your statement this isn’t much different from the mtx craze. Companies see something that works and they just copy it making it (most of the time) worse every time till everyone hates it. I enjoy dark souls etc sometimes when I’m in the mood because sometimes it’s fun to be challenged. But I don’t want every single game to be that way. For all the things dark souls is, relaxing is not one of them. Unless you listen to the lore channels and just zone out for five hours. Then it’s pretty relaxing. But playing them is not. I recently bought wanted dead thinking it’d be a cool fun time brainless slasher from my childhood kinda game but I start it up and now I have to time parries and blocks or lose chunks of health from low level mobs. Like… that’s not fun. Not for me at least. That game is when I realized that “souls like” is just as infectious as mtx just not as harmful. But just as infectious getting into games it does not belong in.
Just wait until it's "Souls-like + Zombie Survival + Battle Royale", because game publishers / corporate executives don't understand anything about the games industry.

Black State is too shiny and perfect. It needs some dirt, grime, scratches, scuffs, litter, etc. to make it look lived in.
exactly what I was thinking too. Just looks devoid of any grit, character and looks sterile. We'll see what it eventually becomes, but it gives me shades of MGSV when it debuted as a demo. essentially, that looked pretty without any real substance.
@@RT-xj3of Yep, same here. I played MGSV Phantom Pain for hours on hours. Was such a unique game.
Think this just tech demo
Capcom had a big vote to see what fans liked and wanted and they got a lot of support for dmc, breath of fire, okami, and megaman. Even onimusha got a lot of love, of those surveyed, most people wanted them to reboot old ip.
I think capcom should do a remake for all 4 onimusha games and a remake of the first devil may cry.
I really liked the Onimusha games.
Don’t buy the dead rising game. Capcom has already confirmed they are censoring a lot of the dialogue in the game
@@Lawrence_Talbot very disappointing. I never financially support anything with censorship

I’m a therapist with nearly 20 years in the field and have been using video games in therapy for awhile
oh yes, someone who really knows.. 🙂
maybe you could share with us which video games in your experience that were the most helpful?
i am curious if i happen to have any of them.
Videos games during the pandemic made life 100% better/more satisfying. Especially when Animal Crossing came out, such a nice and chill vibe game that can be played alone or with family/friends. It made for some good times in the very worst of times.
You know what else looked gorgeous on alpha footage? Watch Dogs
And in release too, what a pretty game, had to wait until I upgraded my GPU to actually play it!
Ok but at least watchdogs had that hack anything gimmick going for it, this has literally nothing new. These "devs" are so creatively bankrupt they even had to put bullet time into the "gameplay just so it didn't come of as another MGS wannabe
Megaman Legends. Nothing else would bring me more excitement.
I can see COD fans excited about this!🙄
I know right I feel like I’m the only one staring at the gameplay like is this actually fun or not
Breaking news: Unfinished game looks unfinished
just another soulless piece of garbage unreal engine 5 tech demo
@@ImJ4cketi hate when people say that, as a game developper i can assure you that we make gameplay first and THEN graphics.
If this is not a tech demo, well, that team clearly has no idea what is "fun" or maybe they know but they don't give a f because people will buy it if it looks cool.
In Another Video: This looks like a PS2 Game.
*Game gets 89 Critic and 92 User Score on Metacritic*
Capcom needs to go back to Mega Man Legends. We need to get him off the moon.
Speaking of safe bets... Hey Activision, give us Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4! Also Underground, with the same treatment!
And most importantly no Sweet Baby Inc 😂
Would love to see some thermal energy put back into the Lost Planet games. The first and second ones were awesome. I still play them from time to time. The 3rd one kinda sucked..
Finally, thanks to Vessi, I can pee on my shoes without getting my socks wet, and do it in style.
Dino crisis should come back
DINO CRISIS!!!! And megaman legends - so nostalgic
Yes ultra realistic graphics!
Yes doors magically open when you press a button with no animations
Graphics, no animations, and it's just a vertical slice tech preview not final game, get a clue
i hate this too..esp with Resident Evil Village
Thumbnail looked like when houthis invaded the ships in the red sea.
@daltonmeredith6790 that had me cringing too at that point for tech demos sake just make all the doors automatic sliding doors, that does wonders instead of a door that swings magically... the hyper-realistic games are something i want to see more of. the sea looked ok but the ship itself was uncanny to reality. it seems promising. just glad to see more games like this.
That first clip really makes me want a new MGS with those graphics. Sigh, if only Konami hadn't fucked everything up.
Yeh... that ship has sailed
They're more intent on b****** eyes than the game than giving kojima back his I.P
I was thinking the same, instantly
But still.
Splinter Cell
I remember when Black Myth Wukong was shown on this channel in 2020 during the pandemic and omg the excitement I felt was going through the roof lol. I still have the video saved. I’m happy the game finally came out and is getting a lot of love
Capcom needs to bring back the lost planet games
Absolutely!👍
Yesss!!!
Amen
Yeah that game looked like crap. Nvidia is stupid sponsoring that one lmao.
I'd say Breath of Fire series, the story driven ones, with lots of fun minigames, especially with updated BoF 4 style.
4:00 - Congrats to the creators of Wukong. Hope they move to Singapore ASAP with the money earned.
Given what i know of China, unlikely, government likes to keep the money inside to control it's value
Why Singapore?

Yesss!! I was just typing that
Hey, I'm the CEO of Capcom. I actually decided after reading your comment that we're definitely going to redo it. Thanks for weighing in bb
Somehow I‘m in a TH-cam bubble where everybody asks for a Dino Crisis Remake.
The thing is, they didn't make those graphics, they bought them, so the props go to the people who made those assets, not the devs that stitched them together awkwardly with a portal gimmick so that they don't have to actually make any levels or even pieces of levels themselves.

Capcom should bring back Breath of Fire, even remakes of 3 and 4 would be great!
When are we going to transition from impressive visuals to actual impressive gameplay and story?
Gotta take a look at indie games for that which aren't usually focused on such generic, soulless hyperrealistic 3D graphics.
THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY MAINSTREAM GAMES THAT EXIST
Exactly, video games does not need to look ultra realistic, they are video games, it just needs to look good enough, the gameplay is the real deal, this is one reason why stellar blade did well, and it was even developed using ue4.
the most impressive gameplay and stories ever made in games were left at the turn of the century in the dus of the AAA big budget crappers.. RIP good story and gameplay of the 80s and 90s (and a lot of duds too ofcourse)

Having only relatively recently picked up Civilization VI, I will say that taking much of the resources of a decent-sized empire and hundreds and hundreds of years to successfully lay siege to a single city-state gets old fast. Adding complexity to systems is not necessarily the same thing as _improving_ those systems.

It's been a while since I've wanted to move to an advisor. Could you please tell me who your advisor is?

Black Myth: Wukong ain't a souls-like game, its an ARPG more akin to old God of War/DMC/Star wars Jedi fallen order, thumbs up if you agree!
Also, the game is a work of artistic masterpiece
It's better than any From Software game
Getting kinda tired of all the souls like games. Not everything needs to be souls like.
Glad I'm not the only one. Souls-like games are the generic games nowadays
Just wait until it's "Souls-like + Zombie Survival + Battle Royale", because game publishers / corporate executives don't understand anything about the games industry.
Personally, I'm not tired of souls-likes, I'm just tired of all the mediocre ones. Like, if FromSoft releases a new souls-like I'm definitely going to play it.

As a CIV fan who rarely finishes a game, I think it's mainly because the game gets to the later stages and you don't want to finish micro managing a sprawling empire. It's more fun to build an empire than rule one.
