      Stop normalising this behavior.
The game should be good once it is released to the consumers who paid for it.
This nonsense that gaming companies now do, where they release half finished games and slowly patch them up needs to stop.

Same here. I know it was not perfect at launch, but at least on PC, it was fun, and I loved the story. Everything they have done has just made the game better. Although I don't agree with Gameranx's comment on Netrunning. Netrunners was the most busted build in the game. You can get near the busted-ness now, but nothing like like it was. Use too you could if lined up everything you could one shot elites, and 2 or 3 full combo a boss. I think saw actual one shot on bosses, but i'd have to do some digging.

@@jaredchampagne2752 I think everyone realises this, no one wants games to be released like this. But that is the state of any company that produces games nowadays because of INVESTORS, and because they hold stake in the companies and the game they actually do have a say what happens to some extent, pressuring the release of the game. Games this large need money, and investors allow for things of this scale to be done, but at the cost of almost being their puppets. Im sure the developers themselves really did not want to release the game like they did, but they do not have a say. So we are still allowed to praise the DEVELOPERS, because no matter what not many companies could have done what they have done. The people behind all of these AAA games wether they are good or bad, call of duty to battlefield, whatever game. Let's not pretend the game now is the second coming of Christ. It's a good, solid first person shooter with an uninspired Cyberpunk-story, which was executed well, in a mid-open world.

I bought the game just before Phantom Liberty came out because it was on sale so I decided to give it a chance and my god this game is so good. I knew that on launch back in 2020 the game was in a nearly unplayable state, but I didn’t know so many of the features I'm seeing and experiencing in my playthrough were added after the fact. I can’t imagine how it is for people who played the game at release and then seeing it now, it must feel like a completely new and different game entirely.
I never followed the hype for this game over the years leading up to it's release, I didn’t really know it existed until that E3 where Keanu Reeves did the "You're breathtaking" segment. I had no expectations for the game like so many others did, so when it came out and I saw how glitchy and poorly optimized it was I just had some laughs at its expense and moved on. It wasn’t until 3 years later that I decided to give it a chance after CDPR turned it around and I'm so glad I did. I just wish the game originally released like this so they didn't have to make a huge comeback in the first place.

I only just bought Cyberpunk 2077 this year (2023) and it is one of my top 5 favourite games currently. Then with patch 2.1 and I recently upgraded to an RTX 4060 ti GPU, the graphics are WOW. But it's the story and characters that make it the experience that it is. Also, it gets top marks from me for having no happy endings, no matter what choices you make. One thing I don't get with people is the obession over character outfits. Really, the only time you can look at your character are in the wardrobe, in the mirror or when you are sitting on a motorcycle. So the outfits really aren't important, especially as the NPC's don't react to your outfit. It would be more interesting if you were dressed in a corpo outfit, walked into a Santo Domingo bar and someone tells you that you aren't welcome there. But still, one of my top 5 games!

@@Genesis-007 if you prefer playing without mods because you want the experience that the devs intended you can totally say that without bashing people for using mods. Cyberpunks modding community was basically adding dlcs worth of context hotfixes to bugs (from launch and even bugs post 2.0) and adding insane amounts of quality of life changes cosmetics character customization options and immersion mod additions that breathe Additional life into the game and honestly you can have mods while still not “cheating” or detracting from the vanilla game experience in anyway gameplay wise. They had a radioport and a metro LONG before it was added into cyberpunk officially and the only reason which cdpr said themselves it was added is because of the immense amount of feedback from the modding community. You are completely entitled to want to play the game the way you see fit but the modding community has helped this game in every way shape and form and that community (who has been coding for red engine which you said yourself is much more difficult that per se unreal engine) deserves respect for the passion and time they also gave to making this game look and feel as best as it can.

Honestly, I enjoyed the game at launch with very few DISASTEROUS bugs which people flip out over. I bought a PS5 just weeks before and it ran completely fine for around 5 hours then crashed, obviously a memory issue which was fixed within the first month. I completed all 5 endings of the game by end of January '21 putting nearly 300 hours into an "unplayable" game, which to this day is my favorite game I've played. I install it on my 'old PS4' after reading so much trash talk about the game and understood it was much more buggy on limited hardware, the same can be said for PC's older than 2020, the game has been and still is VERY demanding with industry defining graphics progress. Thank God they're abandoning REDengine for UE5 for their new games. I'm not defending the launch state on last gen hardware, but the game STORY overall was very good and giving my experience. I was entitled to a refund for my purchase but chose not to because I liked the game and wanted to support them. I bought an additional copy when people were hating on it getting the PC collector's edition at half price . My laptop CANNOT play the game well at all as it's below even the original launch minimum specs, but I still do run the game often for mods and photo mode. One final note, the only thing despicable was the 9 month crunch time the devs were put under to push the game to launch obviously 3 years early. @@istealpopularnamesforlikes3340

"Did the Impossible" feels like a stretch. There's been a decent amount of games that have had terrible launches and overtime they've been patched to relative perfection. Cyberpunk, NMS, FFXIV, etc. So it's not impossible anymore, it's just rare to see a dev put in the time to fix it.

I bought Cyberpunk 2077 a bit more than a year after its bad launch. Aside from a few crashes and bugs it ran well, but at first I've got too overwhelmed by all the different builds and systems and guns and whatnot. So I took a step back, played other games then started watching tips and tricks videos on YT about the things above. They helped me A LOT to understand the old skill tree and game mechanics. (A shout out to all the youtubers who helped me with their videos! ❤) And once I understood the game better, I've got hooked. First the world/exploring and the side quests grabbed me, then the main story and lore sucked me in too. I finally recorded and finished my first playthrough with male V in May this year. And I was floored by how good my overall experience was!
After a short break to play other games, at the end of the summer, I went back for a 2nd playthrough with female V before Phantom Liberty. And I couldn't stop playing ever since. Especially since the updates started coming and they'd improved and added SO MUCH! Most I really love. Phantom Liberty was a really good DLC too (just finished my 2nd playthrough of it 😁), and after getting the last ending of the four, I have 100%-ed both the main game and the DLC!
My very first platinum trophy is from CP 2077! And I just got my very last trophy in the DLC too!!!
👆 This has NEVER EVER happened to me before! So this is a very clear proof - to me at least - that CP 2077 is indeed PHENOMENAL now and deserves a second chance and the praise for the CDPR devs not abandoning it, for putting all the effort, money, dedication and passion into correcting that mistake and giving us the game CP 2077 was, I believe, always meant to be! Because despite the rocky start (both the game's and my personal initial struggles), this game became one of my very favorite open world games (and gaming soundtracks) of all time! So yes, I agree, the devs very much deserve the credit where it's due, and they did redeem themselves in my eyes with all the hard work they'd put in since the launch. ❤❤❤(I wish more studios would learn, listen and care like this!)

Your second playthrough V would've been broken and unplayable as soon as 2.0 updated as it broke the skill tree and made characters impossible to pick up and play. A new game had to be started with 2.0 in order to use your character at all.

      @Useless-girl 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@mrrooster4876 For me that wasn't true. I was already on my second playthrough with female V when the 2.0 update and the other ones started dropping. I had no such issues. Just had to redo the attribute an perk points. The "invulnerability" or "god mode" glitch was the only one that happened to this save, but that started waaaay before the updates and held out until the very end of Phantom Liberty (the underground tunnel with the mini boss behind the Dogtown safe house broke it in the end).

I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 back in March 2024. I didn't know what to expect and I missed most of the "catastrophic" launch event, since I was neck deep in my career at the time.
I was unaware of many things around this game, in fact, but I do remember hearing some of the commotion from close friends. Going into this game without expectation, the game blew me away. Not just in the visuals, but with everything else in it.
I can say with confidence that this has become my favorite game to play. I now have 900 hours burned in (pretty sure i'm going cross 1500 hours at some point) and I'm on my second complete run, role playing as a Nomad. I absolutely love the cyberpunk theme. I actually got really good at this game too and it just feeds my addiction even further.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a masterpiece and I give -0% fucks if anyone disagrees. After learning about the whole debacle, I definitely understand most of the disappointment, especially for PS4 users... ouch! I hope CDPR NEVER does this again and that they've learned from this experience and will avoid it at all costs with their upcoming games.

I've been playing this game since launch and i won't deny it had it's flaws but imo i kinda enjoyed it there was something so funny about having sum random npc bug the f*ck out then watch sum random stuff happen it was entertaining in it's own way and i love the game regardless bug free or not so yes it has it's flaws nothing is perfect no they might not have gotten EVERYTHING but i have to put the blame on sum of the fans on overhyping the game and saying features were gonna come out when the dev team said themselves that those rumors were not true

I always stood by the game for its phenomenal storytelling alone. Even during the beginning, when it was bugged to hell and back, I always said that beneath the glaring flaws are beautifully written characters and amazing potential. I’m so proud of them, and I’m glad I stuck around to see it get this far.

On my experience, patch 2.0 was as buggy as launch version (playing on PC). In fact, I noticed more bugs now than then. The most common bug is NPC glitching. I also saw the same bug on both: at main story, first time we see a cyberpsycho crime scene near the ripperdoc, cops get supper aggressive even if you are just looking from afar.

@@UlissesSampaio To me although they did made improvements and fixed things and enhanced it, it is still nothing compared to what we expected by looking at their demo's and descriptions and trailers.
The only reason people are now more positive is because after becoming a pariah the expectations went to the bottom so now after fixing the most outrageous bugs and forgetting the previous gen consoles that never played well on them, it seems kind of decent.
So what changed most was expectations. People expected a masterpiece but got a kind of decent game that went to half-bad due to bugs while now they expect nothing so they are happy with a not horrible game.

@SIPEROTH I agree. I think the game was always very good on PC. Just expectations that were impossible to match. I never saw too many bugs back then. Last playthrough on 2.0, I still saw lots of crazy bugs.

I was one of the few that from the beginning didn't really experience any game breaking bugs. There was a couple non important npcs t posing and stuff like that but I never took away from the story. My good experience at launch doesn't trump the widely experienced issues by everyone else but it's been nice to see the game age like fine wine and seeing the player base enjoy the game as I was able to. I am replaying currently with the new dlc and its even more amazing.

I've gaming since the earliest home PCs became available with more than 4 colors. I have learned to wait until patches are out before dumping money into publishers' pockets. I also go to the modders' site to see what they're patching or adding to the game. Eventually, the approval stats started to lift, and I bought the game. I'm on my third playthrough with its Phantom Liberty DLC, and I'm really enjoying it. I learned from the first playthroughs not to jump into the first major mission until the map starts to thin out on activities to complete. Once Johnny is in your head, many of the early side missions are difficult to focus on and complete. Plus, doing it this way helps really beef up your character and bank account. I'll be looking forward to the next release for this franchise.

I really wish people would stop saying how bad it was on "consol" the VAST majority of people I hear talk about playing on nex gen had very little problems, and yet reviews always say that is was so bad on consol. That's just a lie, it was old gen that really had the problems.

I told you all back when the game came - they will patch it. CD Projekt is a company that treats its games like works of art, unlike Nintendo or EA that just makes its games with a use-and-throw mindset. There's no way a game that they put up on Displate, made an anime series, created so much merch with and have inspired an entire genre will disappear so easily.

I returned it initially. I bought it last weekend after I saw it on sale and a reviewer I like said it was their favorite game. I played it 24 hours within the first 2 days of owning it. I'm having loads of fun. Are there things I would fix/change? There's a minor bug here or there. I wish there was some more interactivity between NPCs in the street or that all vendors had something to sell. I wish there was 3rd person. But the story and world are fantastic. I feel connected to the characters. It's truly one of the best games I've played.
