Umm... Ethiopia has a pretty large Muslim minority and has a long history with Islam(Muslims arrived in the Axumite Empire during the Hijarat as early disciples from Mecca, persecuted by the ruling Quraysh tribe. They were received by the Christian ruler of Axum, whom Arabic tradition has named Ashama ibn Abjar (King Armah in Ge'Ez) and he settled them in Negash around 613 CE). Even though Christians are definitely a majority(Orthodox 43.5%, Protestant 18.6%, Catholic 0.7%) 33.9% of Ethiopian are muslim... in terms of land or regions Muslims occupies 80%. I understand that the countries around Ethiopia have very large majority Muslim populations but muslims are very much an important and large part of our demographic in Ethiopia as well.

Disfortunately, so many modern Islamic believers lack the history of original Islam in Ethiopia.
Some people will be frestrated when they hear saylac and Adal sultanate but you can't hide Somali history in this city. This city was the defensive place for the late Hero of Ahmed gurey(Somali emperor) he defeated The Christian tigranya or amhara. You see our harari cousin are muslims because of us. In the history of semetic empires they never won against somalis alone, 1510s they shouted for help to the Portuguese king of their Christian Brothers then he came in abbysinia and Ahmed gurey went there in tigranya region and fought against them briefly. he killed The white king but he died there. But our literature we say "Ahmed gurey not dead!"

What a classic documentary.
Having born in Djibouti, I never knew who was Rimbaud other than a bus station and market place named after him. No one ever told us who he was but we figured that he was some French explorer or perhaps an anthropologist.
The city of Harar has rich and unique culture filled with Islamic culture. It’s population are considered the most hospitable. The other name of this particular city is Adari and its people are called Adaris.
Bollywood movie posters in Harar. Another interesting thing in history is a man called
Malik Ambar from Harar came to india in 16th century as a warrior and became a powerhouse and ruler in Deccan Plateau of India.
Nobody cares
Amazing bit of history.
Harar el lugar donde vivió más de 10 años el mítico y legendario poeta, y explorador francés Arthur Rimbaud
I didn't know about that and I belive most peoples does too. I think If you have some information let us take our time andb, write an article about him and his time in Harar.

This is where my father is from. he was very popular there. i’ve never even been there and everyone knows me as “Negib’s Son”

Ethiopia is home to Harar. According to UNESCO, it is regarded as the fourth holy city of Islam. It has 82 mosques, three of which date from the 10th century, as well as 102 shrines.
Amazing facts you have listed about Islam in Harar.
Yet, there is no Pilgrimage of Islamic people to Harar, Ethiopia. In which it will help In the redevelopment, religiously, Kukturally, economically and mostly Ecomonically growth of all Ethiopians.
Disfortunately, so many modern Islamic believers lack the history of original Islam in Ethiopia.

I don't know about the fourth holy city in Islam. That's debatable, but its an amazing place regardless.
