As a Greek I’ve read many sources in which my ancestors held great respect and admiration for Ethiopia. I can now see why. I admire their customs and traditions as well as their beliefs. Beautiful country, amazing archeological sites and soothing natural formations. Nice documentary.

ANCIENT Greeks were referring to Sudanese and Egyptian nubians when they sair Ethiopia...Herodotus called Sudanese nubians Ethiopians...He was not referring to modern day Ethiopia..they were talking about Sudan..memnon was also Sudanese..herodotus called meroe the wonder capital of Ethiopia..meroe is in Sudan

@Strong bull Rise at napata , it's amazing how historians keeps over looking the land and kingdom of Kush , a.k.a. Nubia , which is now the Sudan region . The ancient kemets ( Egyptians ) referred to the land of Kush the Northern region of Kemet ( Egypt) , which they considered their place of origin .
The Sudanese and the Ethiopians are similar in appearances . When the ancient Greeks described the ancient Egyptians , they said that they were slim in stature with long skinny legs . The Sudanese and the Ethiopian people are slim in stature with long skinny legs . The Sudanese and the Ethiopian people are the ancient Egyptians before the racial intermingling with the many foreign invaders .
Kemet ( Egypt ) was the origin of organized spiritual doctrines . From Egypt a different religious sect called " Hebrews " emerged , and this new religious sect self separated themselves from Egyptian theology . It is why there are no ancient Egyptian documentation of a mass exodus because it was a made up allegory by the new emerging religious sect in order to give themselves a more devine departure from their mother land . In the Christian Bible it states how during times of crisis in Israel the people would seek refuge in Egypt , their so called brutal ex- slave masters that their god hates . Didn't Joseph and Mary ( Hebrews) were able to hide in Egypt without the difficulty of standing out from the population ? In the Bible Egypt's army had defended Israel from invasion , and Egypt wouldn't have done that for a so called nation of rebellious ex-slaves , but they would have done it for a nation of people they considered fellow Egyptians with more in common than the differences in religious belief .
Out of the Hebrew sect came a religious sub sect called " Christians " .
The Sudanese and the Ethiopian people are the original Egyptians , the original Hebrews , and the original Christians...period.

The ark of the covenant is hidden in a golden city 6 kilometers long. there is a pyramid in every kilometer. 3 of the pyramids are full of emeralds and 3 of them are filled with gold. Marduk's tomb is here. The graves of 3 prophets that we could not identify are here.one of the pyramid has spacecraft. According to our research, this city was founded 25 thousand years before the Flood. We stopped the excavation because meteors rained down on us. pyramids emit 28.4 frequencies. there is a door to 7 dimensions in the city. everyone will see the truth and take refuge in the creator. The reason it's full of gold, in my opinion, is to make people want to get there. Hz. No one can reach the ark of the covenant until the graves of Adam and H.Z Eve are opened. this golden city is in manisa province of turkey

Dear David CONGRATULATIONS! Only an Australian could go through all this with a smile on their face all the time!
I'm an Orthodox Cristian myself and I always was interested in Ethiopia and the Ark....I knew it was there but just that,
One day an UBER driver in Sydney asked me where I'm from I said I'm Greek where are you from? He said from Ethiopia.....He was an educated man so I told him that I'm honoured to meet an Ethiopian as THEY are the really Christians on earth and then he stopped the car and he said to me: "Well then I will let you know this my dear THE Ark is hidden on a very high mountain and there is only ONE man there as a guardian angel...Many times American and Jewish people came with aeroplanes but it was impossible for them even to approaching the mountain as the aeroplane started to make circles! So they left. They tried again and happened the same....Cause you see Angela there is where GOD has a piece of Him"....
I believed him knowing a few things about the matter so I'm sorry to say so but in every place that you have been in, it was there...This man, the Guard of the Ark died as he was much over 100 years old and another man took his place but they never know who he is...
    Thanks for the extraordinary video!!!

Another comment said they do not need for allot for they are happy where they are at and are a sacred people, in my DNA is the African Egyptian Gypsie bloodline a European line. Anyone olive tone or darker has a foreign bloodline along with a country of dark skin many areas of the world are dark skin people, and I try to let others know my bloodline goes back to an Egyptian king that had scoliosis. So do not kill for DNA science is why they derive who you came from if you stop at a 5th generation you will only get to the 17 and late 1700’s on DNA but some people have a royal DNA and in our generation now you may not care, but allot of people are like me we hunt to see where we came from. People dog others for digging up mummies but it’s our history. Funny they haven’t found my alien ancestors yet! Hum! Joking.

I visited Ethiopia, during the Christmas time, in 2016. I had no idea what was going on; but I had a sense of something big, due to the festive atmosphere in Addis. I informed myself and resolved then to return, and visit the site where the mass baptism took place, in Gonder. This video was most informative. I had NO IDEA the Christian faith plays such a big role in Ethiopia! It's a bit of an anthropological oddity, deep in the east (not north!) of Africa. I've often pondered the legacy (or lack thereof!) of Western Colonisation in Ethiopia -- no lingering linguistic or cultural baggage from the French, German, Portuguese, Italians, or Arabs, like the rest of Africa. That in itself should make Ethiopia an interesting sociological study!

David... thanks for this opportunity to enjoy the Etiopía culture and its people. I have a coworker who is from there and in one of our community parties she shared her culture food and religion believe. It was so lovely how they treat their guess. They are so humble people with a big heart.
If you are looking for the lost Ark of The covenant... After Jesus Christ resurrection it was taken from the earth. If you look on the David temple... in Jerusalem it was there but as soon as Jesus Christ died and then resurrected, it was taken with Him to heavens... the cortine that separate The Holy place from the secrete place was rip apart in the temple. Therefore The Holy Angels took the ark to heavens because after Jesus Christ resurrection it has not never found since then. The reason is because the Ark of the convent was the Ten Commandments written on two stone. It was the rules Almighty Holy God gave to the Israel people. The Jews.
However, when Jesus Christ paid the sacrifice on the Cruz with His own life, living a perfect life who was unsinful man to the cross. He represent the new convert between men and God. Therefore, The Ten commandments plus the new one He gave to us instead of been written in a stone, Jesus Christ wrote them on your heart. When you take your time and study The Holy Bible with great interest. It will give you testimony, what I said is truth. Then, when you let His Holy Spirit get into your heart, He will show you the wonders of been a truly Christian life and knowing The Truth God, That The Holy Bible talk about.
Israel literally lost the truth covenant with God. When Jesus Christ returns, He will take home the Israel spiritual. His people who believe and have faith in Him. The Holy Bible speaks so clear about Him. At the same happened with The Tree of life... it was taken too heavens because the earth was so much into sinful era... that Almighty Holy God took it.
Thank you for this video. I wish you good luck in your journey. 🌺🦋

    Some comments about this video.
First we thank you for coming to Ethiopia and visiting the holy sites.
I accidentally visited your post about the lost Ark.
Some of the information you shared are not correct.
    1. Ethiopia isn’t in North Africa. You may need to check your geography. Ethiopia is located in in East Africa.
    2. Lalibela church was not built after his death by Angels as you mentioned it here. Although, some fathers mentioned about the help from above, it wasn’t after his death.
    3. The women who got sprayed on her face with holy water wasn’t re- christening. The holy water sprayed by the priest is for illness or to remove bad spirit. Christening is given at 80th and 40th day of birth once for girls and boys respectively. But if you come for the first time to Ethiopian orthodox(EOTC) believes, you may get baptised at any age once you learn and believe in EOTC teaching.
    4. About the first Ark given to Moses, I don’t think your guid understood your question. In Ethiopian Orthodox Church, each church has an Ark which we believe is a replica of the 1st Ark with similar power. The Ark of covenant given to Moses was kept in one place.
    5. The Icon on Gondar Selasse church is not the three wise men, It is the Icon of Holy Trinity (God the father , God the son, and God the Holy Spirit). Sometimes it is good to know the believes and history of the country before even heading to that specific country. This is a huge mistake and misinformation.
    6. Epiphany (Timiket) celebration in Gondar isn’t re-christening as I mentionedit it on number 2. Although it is celebrated in a special spirituality in Ethiopia, Epiphany is celebrated not all Orthodox Church in the world.
    7. Great conclusion after Timiker(epiphany) at Gonder.
    8. Finally if you went to Ethiopia for the lost Ark, you should have gone to Axum for more information in northern Ethiopia.
    9. I appreciate your dedication doing all this by yourself but I would suggest you should have a good interpreter and asked scholars before publishing it on TH-cam.
    10. If you ever want to go again, please don’t assume something ask the scholars.

His last comment (it’s a myth) tells me this was just a vacation to him. He isn’t a believer and doesn’t want to be. This was a hit piece on Christianity. Even if the ark is there he wouldn’t know because they wouldn’t tell him nor would they allow him to search.

    • @mrspeace2u907

I took this video with a grain of salt. I thought the moment he mentioned the three wise men he was so way off. I’ve been studying scripture and in my Bible translation, no where does it say the number of wise men that visited Jesus after he was born. I got the sense this guy was on vacation too, and I did enjoy some of the video of e people and the places in Ethiopia. I was a little taken aback by some of the worshippers in that final place being buck naked. I guess it good not to be inhibited about the body, but it doesn’t seem the proper place and time to me.
Does anyone know the name of the musical instrument the man by the river was playing?
I have recently discovered events that took place about 40 years ago that a witness archaeologist shared. His witness about the Ark of the Covenant has galvanized my faith in the Lord. His name is Ronald Wyatt.

The Translator isn’t translating it right. When you ask if the Ark of the covenant here. He translate it by saying is the Ark here? And the priest says yes we do have it here. Remember every Ethiopian Orthodox Church has replica of the Ark. they start doing that to confuse Invaders who came to destroy the church thousands of years a go and now it’s a tradition to have the replica of the true ark of the covenant and that is what the priest is referring to when you ask him if his church has the Ark.

This quote resonates best with the Ethiopian people..The country suffering from severe drought and famine yet they happy and content and most of all, everybody is kind and loves to share even a simple meal with eachother gladly..They support eachother in times of sorrow and seem to enjoy the simple life without worrying about anything.. Watching this makes me realize that I need not grumble about the little things that I couldn't have but be glad and thankful with the life that I've been blessed with.

The reason we have many arcs is because they were replicated purposefully during the war with Geragn Mohamed who was out to destroy it. Now all these replicas are distributed in all the churches around the country we gave them the same respect as the original and kept as such, it is not a drawing like the one behind the curtain in these video, it is a rectangle .5m x .5m x .2m and is always covered with cloth and it only comes out on certain Holidays like Timket (epiphany and the day of it's own celebration). Each replicas has their own name and day of their celebration. The original one is located in Axum Tsion in Axum (Further North).

During the war for colony our king Minilik II defeated Italy and stayed free and but they come back during the second world war and we fought them for almost 5 years and with the help of the Brit's we got rid of them again.
