  • In this video, I mix it up a little with some renovations to the garage. The most drastic change being insulating the roof, I also outfit the space with a projector, a sound bar-subwoofer , and a heater so I can watch movies. Its a long one but I urge you to stick around to the end to see the whole process and maybe even get some ideas for yourself. With a few uses, the setup already works great!

This video more realistic than the other home theaters videos. I wondered about turning a garage into a home cinema. I’d seal the garage door, put a drywall board over it.

If you want to try to keep heat in there without a lot of noise look at getting a gradient kerosene heater. You can find used ones for pretty cheap..

Thanks, I'll be sure to keep my eye out for cheap ones locally.

Forgive my ignorance. Where does the sound comes from?

With an HDMI input, sound is passed to the projector which has an auxiliary output. Using this and a long audio cable, I have a sound bar set up in the front of the garage. The nice thing about the unit I used is the wireless sub I set up at the back of the garage.

Or you could have just it the back side of the wood 30 degrees, made your own brackets, nd glued and screwed a lip edge on the shelf and nothing would move
