The whole premise of the Axis powers winning ww2 is brilliant. The ultimate what if scifi story. Kudos to Phillip K Dick for imagining this, and to the markers of this TV Series to stay true to his vision. And how about that eerily haunting version of Edelweiss as the theme song.

Real talk: the alleyway scene here was filmed in Seattle, between Pioneer Square and downtown. While they were filming, me and my girlfriend (now my wife) happened to be walking by and went down to see what was going on. The crew was letting people through because there were a few businesses at the far end (out of camera) that were open and only agreed to the shoot if they let pedestrians through in between takes.
I cannot begin to explain how unsettling it was to see a street sign with a swastika on it in real life, even though I knew it was just a prop. Unbelievable. Just like this scene.

I think the Jin Roh universe is a more accurate depiction of what life would actually be like if the Axis Powers won World War 2. That timeline is actually closer to our own reality as the viewers who comment from our plane of existence. Oh, and I'm pretty sure that "reality" where John Smith got lost in, is not really our type of reality either. The Marine Core is not supposed to be coming up to your house if there ever was a draft. I'm no lawyer dude or something but I'm pretty sure they just give a warning letter to show up or face legal consequences. Gaw, some of you had to have seen that one lame Texas Chainsaw prequel remake movie, right? I feel like I'm being a buzzkill here. Either have the money for a lawyer, do your duty, or make a quick get away because that is what REAL HUMANS do.

I didn't like the show either, it's nice to think about but if Germany hadn't invaded Russia and pushed west eventually both USA, Russia and Germany would have had nuclear weapons within 5 years of eachother. If Germany had been successful in taking over all of Britian and some of USA I don't see how any of it would have been successful once several sides started to desperately use nuclear weapons. Not to mention urban combat in the USA. It's just a ridiculous idea for a tv show
