Starring Rufus Sewell (John Adams), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars), and Alexa Davalos (Mob City).
    About The Man In The High Castle Season 2:
    After giving Joe the film, Juliana is forced to flee the fury of the Resistance while embarking on a new path to save her home from destruction. Tagomi's life is turned upside down by his ""travel"" to an alternative world.

    anyone find it interesting how Smith is not in uniform in this scene? He just comes as himself. Did the writers do this deliberately, to make him seem more on-level with Juliana? Like someone she could trust as a person, not just another guy in uniform?

      I'm thinking it's Smith's idea so he can make her trust him :)

    • @michaelheath2866
      @michaelheath2866 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think he was just dressed that way because he was out of the office. On the other hand, he could have donned his uniform before going in there, so yes it's quite possible he kept that way for her benefit. I'm curious what she thought about such a high-ranking officer being American. At this point she doesn't really know him at all, he must have seemed..disturbing to her.

    The series was great...what killed it was the nauseating back and forth reference to time traveling. The series is based off an alternate history of the Axis Powers winning the war. They should have stuck with that and not even gone into time traveling through portals.

    I just hope John Smith doesn't suddenly turn into a good guy. I hope he maintains this character of sly evil man because it wouldn't suit his character to suddenly change.

    • @Croquantes
      @Croquantes 6 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      He's not evil. If his victims were nazis, and his actions saved American lives at the cost of Nazi ones he would suddenly be excused. His character forces us to think about how the terms "good" and "evil" are ideals that don't really exist in reality.

      If it wasn't on Amazon Prime. Only thing keeping me from watching it and I so badly want to watch it. But me an Amazon Prime have a bad history, *coughs* they auto charged me for a few months without me realizing it, after I did a free month trial run. They didn't do a very good job if at all tried to make it obvious they would charge after that trial period ended. Sony did this to me on their SOA service, but on Sony I subscribed for a Single Month, right there on screen it said 1 Month as I needed to use their Premium service for a few days. But they kept charging me after that month period was over, never asked if I wanted to keep subscribing.
      Guess what? I refuse to buy a PS4 because it requires a subscription service for online play, and well Sony already tried to rip me off with their PC online services so F*** them. Amazon did the same f***ing thing and used the same f***ing loop hole to do it as well, so f*** Amazon Prime.
      Stuff like this should be illegal honestly. I mean offering a free trial period then automatically charge afterwards without cancelling the free service and "Asking" the user if they want to officially subscribe. Should also be illegal to charge people after a subscription period ends, like Sony did to me. I paid for 1 Month, it asked me how long long I wanted to pay/subscribe, I selected 1 Month, hence I wanted a Subscription for 1 Month, but they charged me for like 5-6 months 4-5 after it should of ended.
      These companies do this on purpose. They falsely advertise and hide the fine print and make it not obvious, so they can legally steal money out from under people's noses before they realize it. Amazon did however, pay me back, when I reported it. I didn't use amazon once during that time period so they were doing nothing but taking money from me without me getting anything at all in return. So Amazon didn't have much of a legal choice in the matter because I never used their service during the time they were charging me. Sony was a different story, dicks. But again, they both used the same loop hole, the same false advertising scheme, just one got away with it, the other didn't.

    I was wondering, If john smith can make an exception in case of juliana where she was granted asylum even if her medical records prove her unfit, then why doesn't he have the authority of making an exception in thomas's case?

    • @eternalmasterjaeger
      @eternalmasterjaeger 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      nataraj boina because if smith had a hunch then he wouldn't have gone to the doctor in the first place I'm pretty sure that by law the doctors are forced to report to the reich about disabilities no matter what rank so John Smith had no choice

    • @51stcenturygirl

      what Kevin said. Also Juliana's possible infertility is not as obvious flaw as Thomas' symptoms of illness

    • @Jer2010
      @Jer2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Because I know this is 4 years late, but Julianna is useful to the Reich and she has information on the Resistance. Thomas in the other hand is not, he was a son of a powerful SS officer, and every other citizen would be forced to give up their son or daughter, how would it look if a powerful SS officer used his power to save his son? That would cause questions and open up the ability for other little resistance to appear in America and then from there, to other country

    • @touko_nanami
      @touko_nanami 7 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      She just said she is infertile, why would they try to prove she is? The reason they ask her that is because they want her to create and raise a strong family off of German values. Raping her would be counterproductive. The main point of that comment was to contrast the fact that most people like her would not be given asylum in the third reich and the fact that she did means she is important.

    • @sarahblake5470
      @sarahblake5470 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      War Crimes all she said is she hasn't tried conceiving since the accident. that's not enough of a no for them. they won't rape her but they might try to artificially inseminate her

    • @ma_kenz
      @ma_kenz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I wasn't suggesting rape, War Crimes, I was suggesting exactly what SarahJae LuvesCupcakes posted, that they could expect her to adhere to customs in the Reich, such as conceiving a child with a pure blood line, even if under duress.

    • @537monster
      @537monster 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s more likely they would simply deny her asylum and send her back to the Japanese if she was infertile. Still fucked up nonetheless.

    • @pancratius602
      @pancratius602 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, the Nazi regime holds high esteem and great importance over fertility. But also for a defector to join the Reich, they would have to prove the can bear (or for men, sire) children for the propagation of the Nazi ideology.
