2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Diesel Review: King of the Hill? |

- The Ford Ranger Raptor has long held the position in our market as the best lifestyle pickup out there, but the renewal of the model brought with it a petrol V6 that made people ask if it had transitioned from being a fun workhorse to an outright toy. Ford Malaysia has responded by offering all the best parts of the new Ranger Raptor experience with the familiar 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel, potentially making this new one the new, and rightful, king of the hill.

Excellent review best I have seen on the Raptor. I collect mine on Saturday 🎉
Great review. I agree with all the points you made. Now to get that quarter a mil ringgit...
I think I'll be happy with the Wildtrak X with the 2L engine. Looking forward to get it by the end of this year.
You’re my new favorite reviewer right now together with Abg Jakpar😄😁
We're honoured to be mentioned in the same breath. Thank you for your support!
fuel economy ? avg how much L/100km?
Good afternoon, can you tell me your honest opinion, do you think this engine is weak for this chassis? It would mean a lot to me if you could tell me your opinion.
what about towing capacity vs the wildtrak or the raptor V6?
it still has the fox suspension, so the towing is limited to the same 2.5t as the v6 raptor.
Yes, i think raptor must come in Orange or dont’
wow, pick up truck with multi link suspension. but what is the max load of the boot
Still not reliable as Hilux
@@kukayaSA14T nothing is as reliable as the Hilux
Roughly 650kg.
This is due to the softer tyres and more complex suspension setup. However, we've found that the T8 Ranger Raptor still managed to do well enough for customers, so we imagine this new T9 won't have issues here in real-world scenarios.
The Raptor are not meant for max Load carrying but rather offroad in baja/speed style instead.
You typed the song wrong. My love … what the 😊. Not on a Raptor. It’s AC/DC a bd bon jovi living on a prayer in a raptor. 😂
Why they dont put the V6 3.0 diesel engine to the Diesel Raptor, bad decesion from Ford.
Because this is what buyers in this region want.
Here in SouthAmerica we prefer the new V6 diesel 3.0 liters, the 2.0 biturbo we think is low in power to the weight of the raptor. @@MalaysianMotoring
Thank you so much! At the end of February I will receive my diesel Raptor, and it is difficult to find a specialist like you who speaks well about the diesel model, to the point of making me have doubts. But certainly the V6 is more of a toy than a vehicle for work and travel. Thank you very much for your vision!
So will there be a raptor v6 diesel in South Africa? That is what I want
Because it will make the petrol pretty pointless, everyone will buy the diesel and you will have loads of raptors all over the place like back in the dinosaur days lol
