  • Heather Tachna shows How to make homemade bread for beginners Easy. This is an easy and delicious recipe great for Thanksgiving. Make it for yourself, for your family, for co-workers or for someone special!
    2 packets of Fleischmann's dry yeast add 1/3 cup warm to hot water - stir let it rise
    2 TBLS Melted butter put in a big bowl
    2 Cups of Warm Water in big Bowl
    Stir to dissolve butter
    Add in
    1 TBLS Salt
    2 TBLS Sugar
    Stir to dissolve
    Add Yeast
    Stir
    Add 4 cups of Flour one at a time until sticky Ball
    Sprinkle Flour on cloth or counter
    Put dough onto cloth or counter
    Sprinkle flour and knead - add flour as needed
    Need until firm ball
    Butter the clean bowl
    Put back in bowl Cover warm place let rise double in size for about 45 min to an hour
    Tap down dough
    Let rise again double in size for about 45 min to an hour
    Take dough out of bowl and divide into two
    Roll out into rectangle - get air bubbles out
    Roll and tuck dough
    Turn seam down Put into pans
    Cover for about 30 - 45 minutes until double in size
    Preheated oven 400 degrees
    Bake for 25 minutes max 30 minutes
    Bread is done when loaves pop out of the pan
    Spread stick of butter all over loaves

    Thank you for your family recipe and video! Could I use Pyrex glass loaf pans? Also, have you tried a variation like cinnamon raisin bread? As you rolled your dough, I imagined doing that. Thank you!

      Yes, you can use glass loaf pans and putting cinnamon and raisins in it is delicious!

    This is a good video. But I’ve been baking for years and never do that oiling of the bowls thing. It’s expensive, yucky, and unnecessary . . . 😆
