Hey Steve, I’ve been watching and subscribed to your bike build vids. Great instruction. I was thinking of fitting a pedal assist crank conversion kit for my wife, no throttle, as she would probably kill herself. Is there a good kit that you would recommend. I won’t be buying from Ali express neither.

Back in the normal world, I just need a bike to carry a pannier or two and with 3" or fatter tyres and with the longest battery range possible using mainly eco mode.

How did you unlock the top speed and throttle?
Looks great, but I would be frightened to leave that locked up outside. Are there any good options for locking up expensive bikes? I'm thinking something that tazers anyone trying to nick it😂
Have a look at the litelok made in the UK. Also remote motion sensor alarms can be found for approx £12. You really need two locks and a cable which adds weight in your bag and really all this is just a deterrent as if they want your bike some have the tools to get it.
I'll only lock mine for a few minutes under CCTV in busy area's but even that's no gaurentee. Best having two bikes really, one that you just ride and stay with and a cheapy that's unlikely to get knicked. Good luck

Bro that's the same ebike I got and I love it and I'm exited seeing you do a video on it now. This ebike is an absolute beast and helps me do my side gig doing deliveries on it especially in the most hilly areas that I ride in Scotland.
Also F the crapy Laws they do to restrict such a beauty of a ebike

Have you ever tried riding the bike just in Eco mode, just to see how far you can get on a full charge?

@tonypaddler Honestly, I never tried eco mode😂. The farthest I was just able to get to was 32 miles, and that's me using lvl 3 and at times 2 (no eco). Will give it a shot and let ya you know.
Also one thing to look out for is to never let it fall on the side where the gear shifts are bcs it might brake the hangers part and get entangled in the wheel
@@acester1493 haha, yes, I guess with these bikes you'd just want to blast along in 'easy mode' 😁
For me I just want a fat-bike that I can do bigger mileage rides on around my local tracks and disused railway lines, mostly on Eco mode as I'm quite fit anyway but sometimes I just can't be bothered to ride my normal bikes, but an Ebike will tempt me to still get out on those days 🙂

I haven't watched all your reviews but have you reviewed an e-bike that has dual suspensions/dual motors and can make mince meat of hills with a throttle? But is also a reputable brand with customer support.
I've been looking at the new Shengmilo S600, being sold soon, fat bike, 1000w, dual crown shocks and dual motors, and front / rear suspension, just thought I'd mention it 👍

Can i ask if you had an issue with the alignment of the luggage rack. Mine was badly aligned and no amount of adjustment helped and when I removed it, it turns our it was welded out of square so am going to reach out to bestbuygear to see if I can get a replacement.
My replacement also came damaged and they wasn’t interested in sending me another

If I upgraded my display controller could I get more speed
If a bike is locked to 15mph some can be unlocked by the display the real way to get more speed is more volts from battery
@@DudeStuff my bike was built for me but the guy doesn't do them no more so its 52v with 1500w rear hub I think the display controller is 35a so if I put a 45a display controller on it and set the speed to more than 72kmh would that make any difference

Isn't it illegal to "unlock" an e bike?
No it's not illegal to unlock an ebike. But it might be to use it unlocked depending where you live. People watch my channel from different countries, so not the same rules for everyone. Riding an unlocked ebike off road is common for many people and isn't always illegal either.
