Torque sensing ebikes FTW. Much safer indeed, and you don't need a throttle to achieve it, plus it makes people actually 'ride a bike' instead of trying to use their wrist to go forward!
btw, an aspect you never really cover are the forks. Most budget bikes come with literally terrible forks, cheap coil things with no rebound dampening. These do look a bit beefier, but it does look like a coil fork with just a preload? Btw 2 pot vs 4 pot brakes - > 4 pot is not dual piston.. that's a 2 pot lol. Main pro for a 4 pot over a 2 pot is having double the pistons, but also double the fluid. This helps keep your bakes cooler during hard braking, leading to less fade do to heating up the brake liquid.
I also bought a fiido titan, but I was left with a dilemma when I saw another, which do you think would be better Shengmilo S600, or fiido titan? Practical courier too. A good opinion if you have. 🙂

Prices go down in companies e bike ranges as manufacturing costs go down and they begin to make more revenue (well some companies anyway) Plus of course very stiff competition from other e bike companies all competing for customers sales. @@girlsdrinkfeckThe wattage output isn't just about the top end, it's mainly about the pickup. Even a legal 250w *NOMINAL* motor can pull much more during very short intervals. If I configure my firmware so it sets a hard limit at a certain wattage, this limits the amount of torque the motor will put out during acceleration. A dyno is perfectly capable of measuring the power output, not just the top end speed, that's how they check if mopeds adhere to their maximum power output. So no, limiting the top speed of a 750w motor doesn't make it a 250w motor. On the other hand, yes, if you limit the speed there isn't a cop on the street who'll be inclined to put your bike on a dyno. But if you run into a dyno checkpoint, yes we have those here.. because of the kid gangs on unrestricted fatbikes causing a ruckus everywhere, you'll get busted. *side note: I have a 48v 750w motor... and I count on not running into a dyno checkpoint, and not drawing attention in general for a cop to feel like he would like to take my bike to the station for a dyno test. If you drive 'normally', you will be able to 'get away' with a lot. For me, pickup is important. I sometimes haul a centipede of two cargo trailers, 40kg each, holding my inflatable and outboard + everything that comes with that stuff. I don't think a motor with a hard 250w limit would be able to get that of the line at a traffic light fast enough where the light wouldn't already be turning red again. The only reason there is a wattage limit in the %^#$^ law is because legislators don't understand how electric motors work, and they assume that having a lot of power / wattage means you ride faster. Perhaps a bit like you? I can configure my mid drive as a 250w hard limt, and I can make it go faster compared to configuring my firmware so it maxes out the amps the battery can handle pulling much higher wattages... because I can change the gearing. It's ludicrous, cars have to adhere to a speed limit as well, but no one would tell people they can't buy a ferrari because they are not allowed to have that much power.
Quite true if people buy Ferrari and act irresponsible then ban Ferrari. That's not quite how the law works except for bikes. The thing is the government's don't want bikes or scooter because they loose to much tax on insurance and petrol. Tax . You see it all about revenue

disagree with your statement. gives a more natural feel. the greater force you put in the more it gives back. cadence sensors just react to a movement in the pedal stroke and give the current which the controller has been set to. just like full throttle on a motorbike. its either on or off.
