If you're using grams there's a typo in on of the cards 😱, it's 113g of butter (1/2 cup).

Thanks for the correction. So great to have a lovely American recipe given in grams.

I did this recipe yesterday with 67 g of butter and the cookies came out great. Also I halved the sugar (my personal preference in US recipes). Delicious :)

Do you think this would still taste as good with almond butter or cashew butter? I'm allergic to peanuts so these cookies would kill me but they look so good

I made these cookies tonight for a memorial service. My friend passed away from pancreatic cancer. He loved peanut butter cookies.
I wanted to let you know that I multiplied the recipe by 7. I used a scoop and flattened them with parchment and my palm and went over them with a fork. They turned out perfect.
My dough was a little softer, but they still came out delish!
I am sure “Danny” will be smiling down from above!
    I love your videos.

These are my favorite cookies. I use the back of my meat tenderizer, not the smooth side
but the other side. After I lightly push it into a cookie you need to put it into flour or the
dough will stick to the meat tenderizer, but once I get a light coat of flour on it there is
not a problem of the dough sticking to it. It makes a very pretty design in the cookie.
OK so now I just have to go and bake me some of these. Thanks for another great video,
    recipe.

Hi, John. I love your videos. I am a Corona-time-watcher. Here is a fun idea that I use. Instead of using a fork to mash the cookie, I use my potato masher. It leaves funny little bumps. People always ask how I got the pattern. You may need to dip it in powdered sugar to keep it from sticking, but... hey... extra sweetness. Instead of vanilla, I use Frangelico liqueur. (I use it in my brownies and chocolate chip cookies, too.) Thanks again for the wonderful infotainment! 🍪

(200g biscoff and 50g jiffy natural PB) Paired with the sea salt they were absolutely fantastic! I didn't see the pinned comment before making these cookies exactly by the video but even with 67g of butter they came out sooo yummy. I know the full 113g would've made them hold better though. They were just a smidge crumbly when I pressed into them with my fork but now I know for next time.

I just made this. I didn't have soften butter or soften peanut. But i made due . With a lil armstrong. Lol. I couldn't wait for it to cool. So scrumptious. I made a dbl batch so i can freeze the dough and cook in individual batches or use my teeny tiny cast iron skillet to do one incase the craving hits. Thank you

Another great recipe and I wish I could remember the vanilla video, I’m getting old lol. I use a pastry cutter, the good old fashioned type, to make my marks. I also like the skewer version because it’s concise like I like things hehe but definitely not worth the time on a cookie. Have a great weekend!!

These cookies are amazing! My husband loves peanut butter cookies so when I found your recipe I didn’t hesitate to make them and he said they are the best ones he’s ever had. One question though, if I want to add peanuts to them to give it a crunch, when would I add it in and do any other changes have to be made?

    • @peshgirl
      @peshgirl 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Iodine was added to salt nearly 100 years ago because during the great war there were meat shortages and people were becoming iodine deficient. Now, we eat so much processed foods that iodine deficiency is nearly non-existent. People who are at risk of it are usually vegans who eat little processed foods and raw food dieters. If you indulge in any outside the home made meals, skip the iodine in your salt at the grocery store (it's like 50¢ more for a months worth of salt). But don't worry if it's all you have.

I don't like peanut butter cookies, but I made these for my husband (who does like them). He gives this recipe an A. I followed the recipe as written, except that I used crunchy peanut butter at my husband's request.
The only thing I noticed is that 40g cookies are not 1 inch. They were 1 3/4 inch. Also, I got 20 cookies instead of 18. But those are just minor details.
