Made these today. With the exception of adding a light sprinkling of flaky sea salt on the freshly poured chocolate layer, I followed the recipe exactly as written. These bars are amazing. The texture of the peanut butter base and the chocolate topping together are absolutely delicious.

One of my childhood treat memories, my mom would combine the peanut butter, butter, AND honey. Incorporate that extra ingredient for some added sweetness. My ultimate favorite, sweet & salty crunch!!

I love making this delicious treat! I’ve made them at least 5 times since I have found the recipe. I added some marshmallow fluff into my peanut butter mixture along with vanilla and added a cup of Rice Krispies along with the graham crackers. I used 60% cocoa chips and finished with some flake salt on top. Sooooo delicious!

2:28 Your weigh-out tip is great, as so much Peanut B gets stuck in the measuring cup.
    I recommend the Flintstones song,

I’ve been making these for 40 years. I use milk chocolate chips instead of the semi sweet. They taste more like the brand name peanut butter cups. ( if you’re using the Honey Maid graham crackers. You just use one of the 4 packs in the box. ( no need to measure. ;-).

I have just made this using your recipe, in the UK, so I used digestive biscuits. However, I did not use additional sugar as you did in the recipe. As that would have been too sweet. There is sugar in the chocolate and in the biscuits. it was perfect, I can't imagine how sweet it would have been had I added the icing sugar (powdered sugar). We don't add sugar to our whipped cream either in the UK. Also, I used peanut butter from here without added sugar. The bars were lovely, but they didn't last long. thank you from the UK.

These are soooooo good! I could eat them all the time if it wasnt for the calories. So I came up with the idea to do the shorter version and more "dietetic". make just the chocolate peanut butter layer on top - melt them and leave them to harden in the fridge and eat it, just as it is! Delicious! Like a chocolate with all the peanut butter flavored goodness!

I've been making these for decades. They are always a huge hit, and they taste exactly like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Pro Tip: If you're using just chocolate for the topping (rather than a mixture of chocolate and peanut butter), you will want to leave them in the fridge only long enough for the chocolate to be *just barely* set but not yet hard (~20-25min). If you chill completely before cutting them into squares, the chocolate will shatter and some pieces will become detached from the peanut butter layer. Doesn't affect the taste at all of course but it does look messy, so if presentation is important (e.g. giving as a gift, or for a party, etc.), then you'll want to make sure you cut before it gets hard.

@@zeeshawnali4078 I usually make it the same day, or back in my employee days when I would take it to work for "treat day" I'd make it the evening before. Leftovers (if there are any LOL) will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for a few days, but I'd say they're "optimal" (best flavour) when consumed within a couple of days.
