    Used your other videos when I was interviewing for an SDR role and when I was working that role. Now I’ve been promoted within the same company to an AE and now I’m using your videos again for that aha. First day is on Monday!

      @shaylevene6754 how has the account exec job been going? I’ve been in car sales for 6 years and 2 years in cell phone sales prior. I have an interview tomorrow for an account exec sales job and don’t know what to expect. Long story short a customer of mine kept pushing for me to be an account exec and here I am interviewing with his manager tomorrow.

    Dude! Great work, I finally am starting to grasp what being an account executive is! I watched so many videos that were just fluff, they did not really break things down into bite sized pieces or get to the core of the job. High quality video all around man, thanks!

    Greet (Make an Impression)
    Fact Find (Open Ended Questions to Qualify Customer)
    -once qualified-
    Pre-Sales Pitch (Features and Benefits)
    pitch (Tailor features and benefits for your Potential Customer)
    -Dont be shy: Ask for the sale-
    Close that sale!
    I've gotten stressed learning sales in cutthroat car sales screwing people over, but honestly: Have fun with it! Account sales is different because it's a need, not a luxury.

    I love this! I just started in sales as a campus job, and it’s kind of addicting to make the sales for the newspaper I work for. I already got another job offer when I graduate. This is a reliable job that can pay well if you do well

    Thank you Patrick! I just started a new position as an account executive, just being a sponge right now and watching your video definitely pushes me to reflex and how I can improve on how I say things and what I say.

    It should also be noted that companies vary in the title of the role. Account Manager, Territory Manager, Outside Sales, Territory Sales, B2B Sales, even Business / Sales Development are commonly all the same role. They SHOULD NOT BE, but the fact is, they too often are.

    How is an account executive different from an account coordinator? I believe the coordinator works under the account executive/manager and is client facing.. but what is the biggest difference from coordinator to executive?

    • @patrickdang
      @patrickdang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      that works too. you can keep advancing in your career as an individual contributor. Typically, the higher you go, the more enterprise deals you'll be working. There are many people who take this route their entire carers and make hundreds of thousands per year.

      @@grumpyv2883 15 looking at stuff like this? You on the right track my man, I’m 25 right now lol. Having sales experience at a role would help land you a role like a business development representative. As long as you speak well and display expert knowledge of a product, someone will see your potential. You can also look into Customer Success roles as well if you don’t want to sell too much.
