Agreed with everything said, except one thing: While Problem Solving is important, I would disagree that you are paid to solve all the problems on your own. In a software company for example, you are totally expected as an AE to be in constant contact with your Solution/Sales Engineers to ask the technical questions, to message legal to answer the in-depth contract questions, etc. You're the QB and need to effectively broker and leverage all the relationships at your disposal to be a force-multiplier for your team.
