I just bought today agz5000 red max it's standed no mods done , I just got this saw to cut fire wood , it's a jonsred, 16 ,, and I bought a 18 ,, bar and chain , I cannot wait to Run it , got run a tank fuel first to run it in ,, I like your reviews on the mods you got done to those saws Un real great job
That redmax is a good problem to have lol I love mine and I really enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work! Been waiting for this type of video for a while!!
Same as 545 mark 1. Mark 2s have the front muffler bolts angled upwards John W in Michigan informed me. He’s on the group Wazlayak or however it’s spelled
Now I'm wondering how the "homeowner special" base gasket, muffler, timing advance affects that 55 time. You feel it in the butt dyno, but how close does that get that "antique" to the new top of the line stuff.
What do you think a”NEW” in the box Redmax GZ5000 should cost? The parts for them are they readily available? I’m sure it takes a Husqvarna bar correct but is it large or small mount?
Hey Boedy, right now i use a Husky T435 to clear tops and small brush. Then I jump right up to my 390XP with either a 22, 28, or 36" bar depending on what I am cutting. I am looking to fill in the gap. Thinking either 550 or 562, your thoughts? I am leaning more towards 550 with a 16", it should rip but I have never ran one. Only husky 50cc I have ran is a 450 and a 550 should be in a totally different league. I figure what I can;t do with the 550 and a 16 then I;ll grab my 390.
But the key thing to run the saw is when you pull start it it runs it starts and it's reliable and I could do the job without any problems that's what you look for in a saw you ever see on your channel reliability
Maybe I'll test them one day, but it would be like comparing an Echo 590 to the 4910. The chassis is a whole step bigger. So while it may have more power...it's bigger by a lot, so not a good comparison if you ask me. The 5600 is definitely a bigger chassis and would pull a big bar much much better than the smaller 50cc saws like a 550xp.
Dang the gz5000 beats the 4910? Have the video I have a 545 and it’s super fast with the muffler mod, only thing is the clutch is a little weak can’t lean on it hard as a 55 rancher. Fast but not the best tq imo

Man that's cool to see like that. Really let's you see how technology has come around with these small engines!
I have one, jonsered 2252 with muffler mod as you recommend, love it. it likes to be warmed up 1 min idle, 33:1 synthetic mix
I love the videos just need to see some longevity testing
Love my 1st Gen 545! Did a muffler mod, and that thing runs like a ported saw!!
That red max would be sweet with a full wrap on it
Nice running saw!

he didnt mention the mark 2. No other brand under HVA got the mark 2s.
Look at the emissions stickers on them for the displacements and THAT is a good idea of what they REALLY are. 😊
545 and 550 are same cc

I'll say it again I can't wait. It's going to be awesome 👌

The Redmax, impressive👍🏻 but that 55 is still a sweet saw!
If you can find one I’d like to see a Dolmar 5105 go against the Redmax
Yes. Impressed with a new Makita 5000 with full size 325 and MM.
Compare to stihl ms 261 C M- tronic.Husqvarna 346 NE ( 44,3mm piston) beat husqvarna 545,I hawe both in stock.
The Redmax is the same saw as the 545 Mk1 thats rated at 3.35 hp
I would agree with that assessment.
I'd really like to know how you stack the makita 5600 against the fastest 50cc saws now that you have it onhand.

@@novicelumberjack ah i see. hard to tell those things without them in hand.
You should try a EMAS 509.
👍👍
Im about to buy one of these they are always 200 cheaper than a 545 mark 2.
Did RedMax drop their chainsaw line in North America?
I’ll keep my 346 as a work saw.
Sounds ported

I have a 4910 with a muffler mod and a gz5000 redmax. The redmax is way faster than the 4910.
I’d like to see the Redmax against a 2252
Mark i vs mark ii
thumbs up
Plenty to say lol but I be nice!
You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses would you?
Boedy😊
the cylinder is tilted on 545 not on 550
I think the are both tilted
@@markatkinson9963 yep. All 5 series as far as I’m aware. Not sure about 592
Redmax runs great 👍🏽
My Mc Cluck eager beaver 2.0 would beat it. 🤓You know, maybe that would be a good cheap saw to build instead of a wild thing.
I don't see how that Redmax as it is, could gonna beat that 4910.
