Got a similar problem on my 1983 GSX750ES. The bike starts normally but theres a weird noise in the left side or starter side. The gear has a bit of a wobble. The noise is sending me nuts.
When this happened would the Starter not roll the engine over??? Was in the 1 way bearing that was bad?? Please let me know my starter works perfectly..everything is good until behind the magneto

I think I’m having the same issue on my Suzuki ls650. Like the sprocket has alittle slack, what you do??

Yes the rollers and spring + sprag sprocket needs replaced, and if bolts are loose no doubt they need renewed as they will be 100% threaded
