Hey did you ever figure out what was wrong with the starter on your Hayabusa? I'm having the same problem. Spins free and if you're lucky it starts but the battery also sounds very weak even with a new battery in it.
I had that same problem and don’t waist time on the starter clutch it’s the starter going bad and spinning in reverse polarity so buy the rite part and don’t just waist your money like I did
@@elyroman6377oh snap! I wonder if that’s the reason my starter teeth all screwed up now cause I started it for about a second using starter fluid and it made a grinding sound and and turned off
hey guys dose anyone no what the problem is I have a 2003 busa@live and its doing the same thing the starter turns over but no motor dose anyone no what could be wrong???
Hey, if you have that problem still, and you want to reset place your starter clutch, replace it but also replace the starter housing cover. When the pin that holds the gears in there gets sloppy, it allows the gears to twist and bind and not start. I just figured mine out after months of grueling investigation and replacement of parts. Trust me, it can’t hurt. My name is my TH-cam channel so check it out
@@torrayeplanet I’m in the process of doing mine right now, even though it spins one way and doesn’t turn the other way, I guess there still could be a problem with it. Here goes
yes there is supposed to be a gasket set. available for under $10. I guess he was just testing before final securing it all.
No gasket, or form-a-gasket between the cover and the engine? Just put the starter clutch cover straight on?
Did you ever figure it out?

I just want to replace cover and i remove all lil bolts but i pull on cover and i cant remove it
Gently pry it off. There are 2 tabs on each piece. You may have to use a prybar at the starter to get it to free up. be GENTLE

No not yet. I just ordered the starter clutch from Suzuki so I'm going to try it soon.
@@torrayeplanet I don that last week and it’s still spinning
Ok now I changed the starter clutch and it worked. It caught like normal and fires right up.

I purchase a starter clutch with no lines and a tooth missing from it. SMFH !
