Separate and colour hair strands

Very good. Could you please do a tutorial on how to make custom hair like the one you did for Mandy Rose and the Iconics? I want to do custom hair for my Taryn Terrell and I have no idea how to go about it.

Tried this. I can't get it to vertex paint. What am i doing wrong?

Make sure after you separate the strands you go back to object mode, select the hair strand - vertex paint
