I pulled the door chime wire out of my ignition. Now I can have my ignition on and door open without that annoying noise…..simples. On a side note, FYI, if you get an annoying buzz rattle between 1800-2000 rpm; it will be loose heater pipe brackets. Glad I could help!
Of note, I had intentions of installing XRS Connect and Victron apps for battery monitoring through the head unit for monitoring on its screen. The apps install no issues, however these units don't allow bluetooth connections to these devices. The bluetooth only allows phone, music connections and OBDII dongles.

Looks great. I’m really tempted. 😯 I’d be keen to see how those clips (from the screen to the brains) hold up over 10’s or 100’s of k’s of corrugations. Do they feel solid enough?

I went down that track but went back to normal android auto, its easier to flick through commonly used function on the run without digging too deep into menus.. Also Id keep the dash cam, much wider view from the dashcam for acco's
So this runs fully off the stock harness and the harness that comes with the headunit? Do we need the stinger kit for the steering wheel buttons and all of that stuff?
I couldn't get the stinger interface to work the swc. I found and wired direct to the swc wiries on the vehicle harness. Then you program them in the HU. I did use the stinger wiring harness so I didn't have to solder every single speaker and power wire. Also need their other wiring for the USB, reverse camera, radio antenna.
Nice! Have started having a play twice now but ran out of time both times 😂 So output wires are there to tap? You just use a multi or test light to confirm?

There is a CAN in put and learn mode, I have to still play with this, but yeah it reads the can input from button press and then you can assign to any function on the headunit you want

I bought the Joying 10.1 two weeks ago for my 2024 Dmax but when i plugged in the factory reverse its all static so just waiting on a 1 or 2 parts to arrive before i fit it properly , did you manage to get the stearing wheel buttons to work ?

@@VideoShowMeHow I've never seen or managed to find any generic android headunits that run proper audio dac and amps vs a brand headunit No chance a generic Chinese unit is proper mosfet and has a decent dac
@roocrew86 yeah agree if you're running a proper setup, zero difference with factory D-MAX speakers. For a full setup you'd likely run your mids etc from a separate amp anyway.
@SHB113 touchscreen is same as your phone, is great (better without gloves haha). And yep has wifi etc so you can connect via phone hotspot or by cable if you want. When I get home, for example it automatically connects to my home Wi-Fi
When you first start the vehicle will music start automatically playing or do you have to manually start music from apps like YTM or Spotify. Also can you get it to display like Android Auto where you have the split screen function with maps on one side and music on the other?

Think it will be fine, is a better screen than the Alpine unit. Have run the 10" version of this in my S15 for the last 12 mths and so far so good. Guess I'll find out!

No it doesn't, but also no need, both head units can anytime toggle to cameras

Double would work in the DMAX by the looks, I just prefer a bit of extra space should it be needed for future activities 😁

I tried a joying 9" unit, was the biggest piece of junk ive ever spent money on, and Joying doesn't reply when asking for help....

I've had 5 Joying head units over the years and never had any issues, I dare say that any problems is with the user.
