I use to laugh about heated clothing, now have heated jacket, pants and gloves from Macna, on my sportbikes, they have completely changed my riding in cold weather now, I just double up on socks or wear my sealskinz that are merino wool, windproof/waterproof. My riding in winter has completely changed for the better now, comfortable warm and a lot more alert. Great video Tins
Great video as always, you traveled back in my neck of the woods, you passed a great pub for food on the road from Macc to Knutsford, the Dun Cow , top food and great Ambience, safe riding 🏍️🏍️🏍️
I'm with you Shaun, not a big fan of group rides. Glad you're happy with the GS, still waiting on mine being released from BMW after they put a stop on all new 1250s because of a fuel delivery system fault. Bloody annoying, I should have had it 25th March. Hey ho, it is what it is. Ride safe matey
Not problem at all. This R1200GS the last sporty look GS ever made.i use this bike since 2016 until now 2023.Make sure early service and major service not over than 10,000km and shaft service when reach 20,000km.This bike more light weight that others version.Love this Bike.Easy to handle, not so much electronic Censor.
I got told the same thing here in N.I. no pilions on Triumph test ride, I ride 95% with my good lady on back so I went and bought a r1250 gs triple black !.
Yeah tinted screen would look good Nice to see you out and about on the new bike Yes, I get what you mean with the price They are quite expensive I am going to test ride Honda hornet 750 in a couple of days Eventually, I might get a gs Some nice scenery there
@@TinsonTour all the reviews says it’s so fun To ride guess I’ll find out tomorrow Already tried the Yamaha mt 07 So it will be out of them But I like the way easier to get to the air filter on the hornet make maintenance easier
Too much sugar? I’d sack the ‘barrista’ mate! 😂😂. Glad your loving’ the bike! Good choice! When are you hitting Andorra? Might try to join you down there, or on the way!
Haha I'd have to sack myself ... tbh tried a new low cal sugar but tastes mega sweet .... as for Andorra ill defo give u a shout soon as i know the details
Had a ride to Macc on Saturday but it was Superbike I went to. Strange place to find as when I went last on dual carriageway sat nave was telling me I had arrived
I'm now in the process of stripping my bike down after a water pump failure, flushing the coolant out too. I'd much rather ride a bike and fk about with it. On another note the beemer boxer engines are excellent and sounds so good! If you ever find yourself in Yorkshire try out a place called The Motorist in Sherburn in Elmet.
Great video. Did you fit the spoiler screen? I've just got a GS and need something to keep the buffeting at bay, been looking at a Puig screen, but they're huge, May try one of those, Is it drill fit or clamp? Any info/close up pictures would be appreciated, Cheers.
Love the look of the triple black gs a mate has a 22 plate of the same and swears by it .Another has a 1200 explorer and he swears by that.I have a 1000 versys and I love it each to there own and what you can afford without breaking the bank. The thing that matters is are you having fun and does the bike do what you want it to.I would love a gs but too much money at the moment. Triumph the same I will keep the versys running for a couple more years it's a64 plate with 10k on it full kit and does me grand
What is the etiquette about nodding or waving to fellow bikers? I'm a new rider myself and starting to notice bikers doing it; not sure if I should reciprocate.
Because as said in other vids we was meant to be having a garage built but that's not happening now and tbh I've no need for a gsa already had 3 in the past
Never owned a vstrom so couldn't really comment , did 20k on the Africa Twin with no probs , 18k on a crosstourer with no probs and this is my 6th gs and never had a prob with them so I'm prob the wrong person to ask 🤣👍🏍
Hi sorry to bother you, but you mentioned a sticker for the bike. What sticker was you on about? As we couldn’t make out what sticker. Thanks in advance
Smart looking bike. And good watch while I make dinner ( what is going on?) - pie obviously. I'd love to trust a mini compressor, but the thought of it going flat when I need it puts me off. Old footpump still works well, but bulky. Safe, happy travels 👍
Been using mini compressor for 6 yrs now pal never had a prob most would inflate a flat tyre 3 times on 1 charge and if not throw it on charge on the bike while riding 👍
Spots really do make you much more visible. I've used them for about 10 years on my commuter bike (about 125,000 miles and counting since new) and can count on the fingers of one hand how many times someone hasn't seen me while filtering in city traffic. They don't need to be massively powerful, just properly placed to give a *good* triangle of light. That Indian at Ponderosa sounded like it was compacting the car park. Watch your speed in France as they have unmarked, mobile camera cars and temporary static cameras on a lot of the main roads/motorways etc... _Windup Time_ Triple colour coordinated. Whatever next? 😜 Drinking your coffee with your little pinkie in the air? 🤣🤣 And _De-cafe_ no less! Going to the gym as well. Absolutely no hope. 🤣
Looks like you're well chuffed with how the BM rides! " A nice Decaf" Not something you hear said often 🤣 I'm another one that bought one of those USB tyre inflators after your video. Topped up all the cars tyres and the bike tyres last weekend, they were all lower than I expected and only used '1 bar' of charge. So much easier than having to connect up to the bikes / car cig lighter, and the pressure gauge is spot on accurate. Thanks for the tip!
I have the older version of that a 2007 and nowadays I'm only 5'7" with age shrinkage I used to be 5'8 and I struggle getting it off the sidestand with them leaning so far over, I have to throw my leg over and keep the momentum into pushing it straight up. I've no idea why they have them leaning so far over 😂😂😂
Hey buddy 👋 if you want a as new Fuel Stealth Exhaust for your new bike I have one for sale, let me know and I can send pictures price etc. It’s ceramic black coated so would look mint on your triple black. 🏍️🏍️

Cheers pal yeah need to sort at least heated gloves out for me but defo heated vest and pants for Faye as she really feels the cold 👍

Cheers James thanks for taking the time to comment 👍
Nice first ride out.😊 Glad that you are enjoying the new bike mate. 🏍 ❤
So glad you happy with your new ride love the black 👍
Great video Shaun, and the Whitchurch to Nantwich road you might have seen the sign for the secret bunker 2 minutes away from my house
Oh is that your neck of the woods ?
Geared 2 go is a cracking little place ,I live in macc and they have taken a gamble it’s going to be a big success they are bikers through and through
Yeah cracking friendly shop
I picked up a USB tyre inflator after that video where you had a flat abroad. Such a handy bit of kit.
Absolute life saver
The new gs looks beautiful pal hope you had a top ride out.

Hopefully ul be all sorted soon pal , this is my 6th gs and fingers crossed never had a problem 👍🏍
Hi shaun.. Man and machine as one. It's a pleasure to see you settled mate. Looking forward to

Not been for many years pal last time i took a mate to pick a fazer1000 up it was in a terrible state they said they'd been to busy to clean it up
Looking good Shaun, you should try putting a car window tint on your screen, be cheaper.
Luckily a mate has got a tinted screen off his old bike knocking about so hoping to aquire that 👍
Nice new ride👍

Yeah it's just a clamp on job I've used similar in my last 7 bikes they work a treat
If you get a black screen you may wish to consider how that will affect the view from the chin-mount camera. 🤔
Haha feck the camera it's all about the look 🤣🤣

Yeah absolutely bikes are bikes and every1 to their own mines 7yrs old now but still rides like new 👍🏍
nice one shaun...
You have great audio. I always get lots of wind noise. What set up do you use?
Honestly we gey a lot of wind noise and unusable footage ... most of it is just when the visor is up
What is the etiquette about nodding or waving to fellow bikers? I'm a new rider myself and starting to notice bikers doing it; not sure if I should reciprocate.
Haha its every1 to their own but i always give a slight nod to oncoming bikes
Great vid pal..
nice one shawn
5:09 Why not replace the fence with a smaller bit of fence & a bigger gate?
Because as said in other vids we was meant to be having a garage built but that's not happening now and tbh I've no need for a gsa already had 3 in the past
I’ve heard coffee withdrawal can be quite bad so you’ll have use alcohol as a help
Haha top tip
What's the reliability on the GS like, say compared to a vstrom?
Never owned a vstrom so couldn't really comment , did 20k on the Africa Twin with no probs , 18k on a crosstourer with no probs and this is my 6th gs and never had a prob with them so I'm prob the wrong person to ask 🤣👍🏍

Haha its all gone wrong pal ... this is the 1st bike for years without spots so looks like I'll be fitting a set on both bikes 👍🏍
Simple solution, widen the gate its only wood 😊
Not a simple solution ... raised decking 1 side conservatory the other ... doable but not worth the hassle just to get a gsa
