Just think about this. A Camaro at half the price of a Bavarian runs you down like your in a Miata. The Camaro is truly underrated.
Annnnd if you hit a pothole, the whole dash wont light up like a Xmas tree with error codes.
@@sunnyside9273 The Bavarian is notorious for it’s inferior build quality and engineering. A work mate traded his 540 after 5 years of ownership because it was blowing so much oil out of it engine seals he received a ticket.

@@username8644 I have a Camaro 2SS. The 2SS come with full performance package, interior accessories and performance exhaust, magnetic ride, etc., and it was $48k. The number you gave was literally the high end and not the minimum. $52k at most. The minimum is the LT1 model which can be had for around $40k brand. Come with the same engine and bare minimum on everything else. The guy with the original comment was right on the money and not exaggerating one bit. The big dog ZL1 1LE can be had brand new with all the bells and whistles for $70 -75k.
@@username8644 the hell it wasn't. The sticker for mine was $48k. I got it out the door for under $51k brand new in 2019 since there were some brand new 2018 models still on the lot. But they are nowhere the $80k fully loaded you speak of. My car is fully decked out.
The 1LE is One of the best performance per dollar cars ever made.

There isn't a single other car for 45 grand that has up front 6 piston brembo brakes solllllid tried and true 455 hp and torque easy to work on engine 305 tread in the rear 285 in the front magnetic ride control a really well built tremec tranny thats in the gt350 manny which you need to spend alot more to get. Used prices on them have always been hiigh even before micro chip shortage and pandemic that has just exaterbated the price eeven further and honestly made them even more rare not to mention the fact that everyone is and has rumored about it being dead 2023 unless it gets switched to an EV vversion which makes the car even more rare if that happens it's the last NA camaro gen ever made meaning the car is going to hold value evven better than the gen 5's. The suspension is pretty much the same as a zl1 stock for 45 grand... it's insane price for the car and the same reason you will have a hard as helll time getting one the exact way you want it unless you custom order it and both ways right now will take several months. I put money down on mmine so they would hold it for me but they said it hasnt even made it to thee dealership yet and it's been stuck on the transport trailer for month and half now and will probably be another month to be honest before I can even go to the dealer to get it.... and this is a car thats been made just waiting on other cars to fill up the trailer before they can leave.
@@carlosortiz9592 Yeah 100% The chassis, the handling, the steering and braking, the way this car turns is unmatched at this price. Even with the regular SS non 1LE variants, which I also owned. Check out Motortrends comparison of the regular 2016 SS vs the 2015 BMW M4
I wish Chevy dropped the lt2 engine in this car, even a tweaked down version. I m guessing they are waiting for the next gen now. 1SS 1LE is the performance car bargain of the century. Ford is selling Mach 1’s close to 60 grand and they can’t even lap faster than a 45 grand 1le.

I own a 2018 SS 1LE with the manual transmission. That A10 combined with the exhaust pops in between shifts is definitely tempting. Thank you for sharing.

I was torn too but i went with the A10..no regrets ..i love it!! Its a beast!!
Can’t hate on either one they’re both awesome, manual arguably more fun but if you’re obsessed with motorsports the a10 and the paddles is not boring

I've driven a lot of cars in my day, Audis, Mercedes, Dodges, Fords, etc etc etc.... The 5th and 6th gen Camaros were those cars that I HATED, and talked shit about. Then I drove a few, and ended up buying one because they are so dam good at everything... And so easy to upgrade to Porsche GT3 levels of performance for dirt cheap, if you want performance first.. Well, consider a 5th or 6th gen Camaro because it is a badass platform, you can really build anything you want out of them. Drift car, drag car, track car, cross country car.. or even a daily driver, with all the trunk space. I might sound like a Camaro fan boy but, I come from owning a Mustang GT and Mercedes S-class and I'm saying its a good car.

You are 💯right. I owned a M3 and i loved it. Then bought a 2012 SS 6 speed , upgraded it with the 1LE suspension, Eibach Pro Kit Springs to lower it, 305 rear 285 front ZL1 wheels, High Performance GM exhaust, and I don´t miss the M3. Soon will upgrade to the GM High Performance Heads and LS7 camshaft to get to 500 Hp.
6th gen cool but the 5th gen is a real muscle car we got one of the fastest NA times in the 1/4

Yup! honestly all gen 6 Camaros. Its the chassis more than anything, 1le takes it to the next level but it doesn't matter which 6th gen you get, the platform is top notch
Just test drove a 10 speed Camaro today thinking about trading in my 10r80 GT for it. It felt different… a good different.

You going to any homestead trackdays? I have the same 1LE in the same color but manual and go to that track. Its crazy how little RPM drop there is on shifts compared to manual.

I am in love with that 10 speed i will say, it took me 4 months to finally decide that i wanted the 6 speed manual. I guess I'm an ape deep down.

I just bout a 23 LT1 A10 but couldn't get use to the auto since I came from a 21 LT1 M6, kept reaching for a shifter and foot went for a clutch. Sold the 23 for a 24 LT1 M6. The A10 is good but, AFM..

No but I am filming with my phone in the trunk for audio and I do have an aftermarket exhaust

Never tracked it without the track alignment, but I’d imagine it’d be understeer city without it

Do you think if I get the 2SS Camaro, add Eibach Lowering springs & Full CatBack Exhaust it would improve speed compared to Turbo 6 of BMW M3/M4?
In Car and Driver and Motortrends test the 2016 regular Camaro SS was as fast as or tied the 2015 M4 in every category.
I had a regular SS I tracked and on good tires with the right alignment it’s near 1le level.

Were you in manual mode for up shifts and downshifts? Or auto mode?

Just goes to show. Keep it simple. Small engine with turbo complexity? Nah. All you need is a cross plane American V8.
And I tell you what. I have a Stang with the 10R80. The Camaro sounds much better with the shifts, and sounds like it shifts better too. I know some purists gave a thumbs down to the 1LE getting the 10 speed, but if you want the fastest lap times and acceleration times, the auto cannot be beat by the manual.

Was that a Mustang or a Civic at the beginning? I couldn’t tell they passed it so fast. I remember when 6 gen SS was first tested by magazines, they said the Camaro had left the company of Mustangs and Challengers and joined the BMW Benz crowd and even surpassed them in some ways. That Alpha platform really is alpha, and costs $35k or so less.

If you tap the gas in the split second between pulling the paddle and the car downshifting it will downshift smoother

A lot louder than stock, tour and stealth same as stock which is awesome. You’re gonna love it, pops are the same really.
It should be noted most of my onboard laps have a mic in the trunk above the exhaust for audio. That’s why it sounds so crazy in my TH-cam videos.

The camaro chassis is amazing from the factory. Lt1 motor also ain't nothing to f with
E92 M3 is one of my all time fav cars, I see these as the newer versions of those, ofc we have more tq and they rev higher but v8 sports cars, the size, the chassis, simple interior

ok very cool car and I prefer it to a BMW but, you cant say running down and M4 when the M4 pulled on every straight and the camaro only able to pass when the M4 waves him buy. Like literally arm out the window telling him to go by then you can watch him in the mirror not get dropped even though he slowed to let him pass. I will take a Camaro to own any day of the week but in no part of this video did it run down that M4

Maybe m cars need a tune and mods to keep up with near stock (axel back) SS 1LE? I will concede m driver can carry more grocery bags from the supermarket so that is a win right there.
