- Second Time at the track, still learning it there were wet spot at the track which made it interesting to say the least. Had a lot of fun and I was faster than my first time

For an American Muscle car, the 1LE packages makes it handle well, in great competition with European rivals. Great video! Wish we had more tracks here in America!

Also, no one's going to comment on how fast he was going? He was going at least 110 mph on all straightaways, and hitting most corners at 80-90 mph. The 1LE truly is a marvel.

I have a manual, and I wonder if I made the mistake.. been a manual fan and driver for most of my life, but I think my reasoning for that has been recently obsoleted objectively.. performance autos are so good today, that their speed is as engaging as the manuals I love dearly just by the Wow factor..

@@StirlingMossDrives well yeah true but i have to get the handle of it last time i used it i floored it in the highway behind my neighborhood and by the time i knew it i was goin like 84 mph it has crazy power i cam handle it in a straightaway but doing turns like this is harder
I was stationed there back in ‘13. I did 136 laps on the ring. Loved the sound (best part). Saw some unnecessary down shifts there but with time and more laps you’ll see this is a momentum track. I have a ‘18 SS1LE and I wished I had it when I was there. Also, awesome camera angle.
I keep watching this video again for the sound. Perfect camera placement. Can you do the same video in the mountains? I bet it will sound otherworldly....

Him just taking it easy produced a sub-10 minute lap time. Impressive. It sounds almost like a Cup car... I never had more respect for the Camaro until now.

What did the BMR springs do for the car? Better handling, no difference, or worse handling? Is the drop they proving (I'm assuming they lower the car) noticeable? Have you thought about going with the ZL1 1LE solid IRS subframe bushings? I've been thinking about changing to them as I've heard they make a big difference on these cars.

The only diference is a tad more oversteer but honestly its hardly noticable in my opinion, maybe im not pushing the car hard enough lol
Is this titanium exhaust? Sounds waaay different than my 2018 SS 1le. I can tell it has a tube also by the way it was crackling so much. Love the video by the way!!
For such a mucked up Lap the time is actually not bad which tells you that with the right Driver and Traffic conditions, the Lap time can easily be in the sub-9’s…

@@LMBC6Brian That makes since. That's weird that Chevy speedo's don't show mph, along with kph on the same analog gauge. On my GT350, as an example, it shows 200mph, and then below that amount in red, 330kph... It's sorta stupid that you burry the speedo at 200kph, when you're only at the top of 4th gear, and have no clue what your speed is after 4th gear.
@@Gallagur-xz6fr yes he does have a clue, it shows up in his Heads-Up Display, but it's hard to see from the video. the Heads-Up Display is probably my favorite feature of my 2SS 1LE

That's the hardest thing to do with your own vehicle-taking it to a track and giving it what for.....you crash you lose big time.

Speedo is "maxed out" because this is a US spec car with the mph (0-200) speedo, but the software can still be switched to display in km/h and apparently the driver did so.

Did you modify something specific for the pops/ crackles?
Probably just the NPP exhaust with the valves opened all the time with “race” mode on. Either that or a mild2wild controller to hold them open all the time. Actually, he’s running at high RPMs so they’ll stay open without any mods to the valve controller.

At 3:52 looks like you well passed 180 in 4th gear..? So what’s been done to the car it’s definitely not stock or you’ve done something to the speedometer cause the ZL1 on Chevys best time the driver never topped 172 but yet you’re easily pulling 200 at the end of the video and still not even in 6th🤭 what’s going on here

Lol. What he meant is No. It has headers and x pipe with stock axle back exhaust. The only part stock is the axle backs. That’s why the car sounds loud and amazing.

Did you have the duel mode exhausts when you got the car? I want to do exhaust mods and do what you did the cam and x headers but wondering if i should go with stock exhaust of pay the 950$ for the duel modes

I don't think there is a car that is more fun and more powerful on the track than a Chevy SS 1LE with a manual. $45k in the US with performance oriented options. What else compares?
So they give you a speedometer that only goes up to 200km in a Camaro just because it's Euro spec... pretty weird, should be at least a 300km speedometer!
The Speedo is from the US model but there is a switch to make it display in km/h or mph.

Does the center consol gets hot when driving hard ? Mine gets hot after roughly 30/45 minutes of hard driving... no warning on the dashboard but I can feel its really hot inside the center console/storage

Well they do have some 1le's but they're all imported from the states, I was able to bring mine mainly because of my work. Cant really complain lol
