I’ve itched for the past two years saw dermatologist prescribed Dermacool, it’s a life saver, after my shower I rub it all over my body cools it down a treat, stay out of the sun, wear cotton clothing, nothing tight, try not to scratch, not easy I know, warm shower instead of hot. I also use non perfumed soap on my body and use a natural washing soap for my clothes, no perfume.
I used to play sports but recently I can hardly play sports because if my body starts feeling any type of sweating or heat my face gets extremely itchy and it’s unbearable.

I get extremely itchy every night right before bed. It’s so bad that sometimes I can’t sleep because my skin feels alive it’s so itchy. Also after I shower I get itchy. The water isn’t very hot. And I use a lotion/soap that’s organic & made from all natural ingredients. Even after I use the lotion I’m still itchy. I’m 27 yrs old and take no medication and have no health issues. Would love to know your opinion!
Hey! It's impossible to say over the internet, but there are conditions known as 'urticarias' which can cause sudden itchiness, and these can be triggered by various different factors. Some of the most common include high heat, cold temperatures, exercise, sun exposure, *water exposure* or pressure on the skin. This may be what is happening in your case! I encourage you to discuss it with a local dermatologist! (Also, itch caused by anything is always worst at night, because we lay there without other stimuli and become extra aware of our skin!)

I eat well. I drink plenty of water. I exercise. I don't smoke. I'm a hygenice person. So I'm not sure why I've been itching relentlessly at night for the past week. I itch so bad, I scratch and cut the skin. I itch all over too. Ears, head, scalp, face, legs, arms, stumach, chest. Soles of feet occasionally. But the itching only happens at night. Full force too. Right now it feels unbeatable. I've booked a doctor phone conselatation for Monday next week. Could you please advice me on what's my best bet till then? It would be massively appreciated on my end. This itching is driving me Bananas. Could it be fungal related?
@Daniela Evans, I have same problem now, same situation. I eat well, excercise and have exact symptoms you mentioned. Wondering if you figured out the root cause
For the past three years every time I shower my skin starts itching for 20 to 50 minutes, when I went to the hospital the doctor told me to "change your soap" (That didn't work)

I feel same. First I realized cold water May cause it and also if you are bathing with sponge or a scrub. I realized that when I bath with sponge I itch drastically and I had to stop . This is like 12 years now and it’s annoying!
This invisble stuff is attacking me. Feels like bugs is on me, but nothing is there. Every time I sit down in my house or lay down, i feel attacked. It itches, and feels like something is crawling on me constantly. This been happening for years. Sometimes it goes away for about 3-4 days, then it comes back. And my bed and walls are full of this small sand type stuff that pops up randomly. Sometimes even black hairs. This stuff is crazy. This stuff attacks my legs, feet, chest, and face. Even hair.
Thank you Doctor, I am going through some bad issues with skin pain and itchy itchy itchy oh Lord please help me before I go silence of the lambs on myself. (be advised this is a joke) I just wanted to say that I appreciate the time and energy it takes to make videos like this espically in a time where our culture is over or under self educating with topics that are more serious than what we concieve to be on the "surface." Thank you thank you.
Please what causes an itch as if your skin are moving or something?? It happens mostly at night which cause difficulty in sleeping. And mostly on your laps to your legs area.
I've heard this from a tonne of my patients! Not specifically about California triggering itch, but that as soon as they moved to a new city, they started to get a bunch of skin problems. There's a complex interaction between internal and external factors that can cause our skin to become sensitive. The sunlight, humidity, air purity, types of native pollen, dust mites - etc! All of these can mean that some people just 'do worse' in some cities. I hope in you're case it's a short term problem and you get to the bottom of it!
Sometimes I’m so itchy I can’t sleep, but I’ve changed detergent, helped, but what now I’m positive it was the polyester in my school’s scrubs! Synthetic fabrics are awful for my skin.
I experience itching when I'm nervous, feeling hot, walking on a sunny day, or feeling embarrassed. It's become so intense that I often have to find a nearby bathroom to scratch. I suspect I might be allergic to heat or something similar. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
My face gets irritated and itchy from October till March basically the winter months in the UK. Summer time my skin is clean and no visible redness. I use Rozex active ingredient metronidazole which helps to reduce the redness and itch. I've also used Fucidin steroid cream. Haven't found any really solution and just seems to be getting worse every winter. Used to be mostly concentrated around the nose and now also on the sides. and eyebrows. What would you recommend on treating this?
Whenever I start doing anything physical literally anything (this includes just standing) for more than 5 minutes I start to itch on every single part of my body with no rash or anything, I really don’t know why this is happening. Any ideas?

Here's a strange one. I started getting random itchy sensations about five years ago, but only when I'm laying down in bed at night. I'm okay during the day. I take an antihistamine every other day to keep the itchiness down. Where I itch is so random -- one night it's my feet, the next on my back, etc. Doc and dermatologist says it's because I'm a women over 50, which they tell me is not unusual. I'm still wondering why this only affects me when I'm prone at night. No one seems to have the answer to this one.
@@Crystal-fv7fuim 18 and the exact same thing happens to me, but instead of the majority of the itches being on my legs etc they happen on my hands, right now as im speaking its nighttime for me and it's itching on my fingers on the left hand
Hey man not sure if you're gonna see this but, I have been having uncontrollable itchiness for almost a decade now everytime I take a shower. The degree of it seems to be random and it usually starts mid to end shower. I'm not sure but it seems like sweating might be related to it as it becomes the most irritating after working out and hoping into the shower. I also remember having itchy legs when I was a kid while at the beach sometimes. I tried different temperatures but it doesn't seem to be affecting it, also different gels/soaps are doing the same thing. I'm starting to think it's an allergy to sweating? My skin is very sensitive and tends to be on the oily side. Do you have any idea what could cause this?
OMG I have exactly the same Itching as you , I have told my doctor but he just prescribed anti-histamines!! An absolute life saver for me is a medication called LORATADINE In the Uk ( where im from ) you can just purchase it over the counter ! It doesn’t stop the itching but it does make it more bearable 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m having the same problem. It’s when I sweat , my body temperature rises or when I get anxious. And I’m in the sun a lot because I’m in the military so the itch is unbearable at work
👍 Thanks for this, but can you also point out to your followers that to check the ingredients in those two products you mentioned as there maybe something in them that they could be allergic to.
For 7 weeks my skin all over my body has had an unrelenting itch. My skin is ripped to bits and covered in scratches. No rash at all. I have had 4 different antihistamines, creams , moisturisers, bath oils. Im at my wits end. I can’t sleep it’s torture. Next step doctor says is blood tests.
I have itchy skin without any redness or marks in my body. My face has dermatitis that gets triggered sometimes and doesn’t heal but recently my doctor prescribed an ointment but by body itch is not going away even after doing allergy test and only some foods are told to be removed which i actually dont even eat normally but with the prescribed pill its not going away. Specially hands(arms) and legs are very itchy. There is no redness or marks but i have bumbs like thing thats on my back and back of the neck but just few, its confusing and the doctor did not even check it out. They dont even check properly just hurry to prescribe pills and tests. Doctors do not care so i just dont want to wwaste money but my itchyness is affecting my normal life.
I don’t know why but when I’m nervous I get a really irritating itch on my chest and my neck I tried looking it up but there was nothing online talking about it
Exactly same here except it’s also when Im embarrassed or doing something physical/active when the temperature is high. I get itchy from the top of my scalp to my hips and it makes me go insane. I have to wash my whole face with cold water and sometimes my chest/ shoulders. I have back acne and upper chest acne (on my shoulders aswell) so I don’t know if that’s the real cause of my itchyness. Neither have I found anything that talks about my current situation on the internet
So like whenever it gets cold (rainy cold), i get itchy When my finger nails grow even by a point of a millimeter i get itchy When i use cold water to bath, i get super super itchy If i don't stay long enough in bath water or the shower, i get itchy If i sleep topless, i get itchy (on certain fabrics) What might my problem be?
My problem is I feel pricking sensation all over my body in winter only if I get exposed to sun or if my body generates heat, as if thousands of thorns piercing me all my body, itches me. There is no use even if I try to scratch. Exposure to fan relieves me a little bit . I even sweat at times and my skin colour turns red. I even consulted an endocrinologist and dermatologist but they too are clueless about my problem. Even my blood reports are normal; they just advised to apply anti-itching cream and dry skin lotions. I tried that too and allergy tablets too, even avoided hot showers and hot food but still I am in agony. Kindly suggest me some remedy to get rid of this problem which makes me crazy in winter.
Honestly it's impossible for me to fix your problem as someone over the internet, so it's best to get another in person opinion if your previous in person providers weren't of help!
There’s a chance you could have dry skin and this could be keratosis pilaris (try Googling it!) but it’s hard for me to say over the internet in this way! I really recommend checking out your local Derm to get some expert help!
My skin becomes very red and warm to touch when at the peak of discomfort (usually takes a few days to get to this stage). The surface of the skin feels soft and is not dry, but still flakey somehow?? If I scratch, the skin blanching lasts for at least 20 minutes, leaving me with very pink/red skin with white scratch streaks all over. Incredibly sensitive to external temperatures - both low or high. The best way to describe would be to compare it to having sunburn, but with extreme itching. The only thing that stops the ordeal is steroid cream (all over the body). It's usually gone within 48 hours of the application, which is a huge relief. But I still do not know the cause. Can anyone else resonate with this?
Dr. MD. ............ My advice is - please take 1) tablet ranitidine 300 mg. 2 times daily before food. 2 ) tablet amitriptyline start with 25 mg 2 times daily for 2 weeks then build up the dose up to 25 mg at morning , 25 mg at afternoon , 50 my at night before bed. I hope it will help you.😮
I got itchyness where it feels like needles, but ichy needles, mostly my back and chest, and it's really extreme when I do something that makes me warm
Here's what's causing that itchy feeling: During a workout or when body gets warm , your heart rate and blood flow increase. Your heart is pumping more blood (and oxygen) to the muscles you're using during your workout. In response, your capillaries and arteries expand to accommodate the amount of blood moving through the body. This process stimulates surrounding nerve cells and sends a signal to your brain. Interestingly, your brain translates this signal as the need to itch. There's not much you can do to change this process. After all, it's your brain's natural response. But there is one thing you can do to reduce the likelihood that your workout will be interrupted by itching: exercise more.
I noticed my itching started few weeks ago and i think the trigger might be the braids I have on, although the extension was washed. It's stated with itching after shower, then itching on my head and now extended to itching when I put on pants. This is really embarrassing.
It’s so weird, I only experience my itch at night when I layed down on my stomach, I notice it comes when I get sweat glands, like if it’s being blocked and I just get this flair up of pins and needles all of my body which feels more concerning.
Omg..the pins and needles feeling is so real. 😢. Ive tried so many things. Sensitive body wash...no soap bars...perfume free laundry detergent...change my towel often..no rags ..i just use my hands...cold watee...perfume free moisturizer...sigh...everything works for awhile..then I'm back to pins and needles. 😢
I have gallstones. I Suffer from dull aches in the upper right abdomen every now and again but have never had a full blown attack. However, I do get weird sensations in my legs, itchy/prickly but not bad enough to make me claw at myself. I have convinced myself I have pbc and it’s affecting my mental health.
Hey Stevie! I recommend seeing your primary care doctor so they can do a work up to help either give you peace of mind, or give you a specific diagnosis so you can get some treatment! There are combinations of blood tests, imaging and clinical exams that can be done to test to see if you have bad gallbladder disease, and gallbladder conditions can cause itchiness too.

I itch when i get mad or when im hot for a long time. First its my head that starts itching the most and then its the hole body, but i dont itch when i work out for some reason.
Emotions can often be a trigger for different types of skin symptoms actually! And hot weather is also a known trigger too. There really are so many things that can upset our skin! I hope you manage to avoid people who make you mad in that case - doctor's orders!
With me it’s both, when it’s cold out and i walk my body temperature blows up to boiling hot, when I work out it happens the exact same way, my head starts itching and my back, chest, stomach itches like crazy, but what I found weird is when I went too Florida it never happened, not once, same when I went to Dominican Republic which the heat over there is unbearable at one point. I found it extremely weird and I can’t find what to do about it.
I think it started a year ago but whenever I’m in the sun or doing any physical activity I get seriously painful itches. It feels like little burning needles going into my skin. I try not to scratch but can’t help it.
The exact same thing happens to me as soon as I am under the sun. It happens even when I have moisturized my skin. Yes, it feels like a thousand burning needles piercing through my skin. It is so uncomfortable and very painful.
Hi Doc I had ringworms a few years ago, I treated it but soon afterwards I started getting random itches and red patches or lines (it kinda becomes swollen and disappears again) all over my body, lately its my shoulders, head and back. I've noticed that it happens when I am feeling stressed as well. I had consulted specialists and done blood tests but we have not found a root cause, any insight doc?
Hey! It's really tough to say for me over the internet like this, but ringworm infections can cause something known as an 'id reaction' (try looking it up) which may explain some of what you're feeling. This should not persist for long after the ringworm has been treated, though. Some of the options that may give more options include skin cultures or a biopsy, if your derm thinks it's a good idea!
Nice video and I possibly know one of the reasons is due to my BP and sugar medication, Stamace and Glador-M1 respectively. Besides, I had a light brown patch on the left side of my head, above the ears, which has now become very black and the itch there is terrible.

Hello my name is Venus . I know this is an old video but just a few days ago my body started breaking out in tiny bumps and what looks like ringworms & it’s really really itchy . I may have irritated it some by bathing in bleach before actually showering with an organic sulfur soap . I’ve never had this happen to me before & I’m freaking out because it seems to be spreading! Please help
Hi Venus! So sorry to hear that you’re going through this. I really recommend making an appointment to see your dermatologist urgently, as it’s best at times like this with sudden widespread rashes to get evaluated in person! There are many potential causes of this type of rash so it’s really important to get the care you deserve in person!

I have been itching for a few months now :( Mainly my arms, and at times my legs and back. I'm wondering if I have primary biliary cholangitis (meet a couple other symptoms, but not too serious) or brachioradial pruritus (pain in the middle part of my spine). I'm already using fragrance free products and I don't think I have dry skin. However, I have also been diagnosed with keratosis pilaris. After scratching, small bumps form and my skin turns red. Getting blood tested/scanned is so expensive 😩 It's going to cost me hundreds of dollars. I'm scared. This also got worse after I contracted covid. I was exposed to a relative, unfortunately. Any other tips or advice?
Hey! If you're someone who has keratosis pilaris, this is almost always associated with having dry/eczema prone skin. Even if you don't think you have dry skin, I'd advise you to generously apply moisturiser to your skin 2-3 times daily for a week and see if it helps!
I randomly have been getting itchy skin ONLY on my upper body. Especially my back. I put on lotion right after the shower and it’s still been happening. It gets worse when I get hot or sweat or anxious. Sometimes it’s unbearable so I immediately hop back in the shower for cold water
The problem is I’ve try moisture with cream face to feet but I still feel itchy even after cream . The cream doesn’t lock in. My itch reaction kicks the cream from protecting my skin and the itch will c’mon back instantly, I try drinking more water but it doesn’t help. Mine doesn’t have rash or hives. Even when touching bleach I no rash or hives, just skin feels dryness and more itchy.

All the chemicals in the wet and dry coffee creamer has made me itch for years. I finally cut it out and no more itching. Yay! It was hard to do because I love dry creamer. Vaseline is very effective as a moisturiser because it is the most ‘occlusive’ (meaning it keeps in the most water) of almost any ingredient! Some people find it hard to use regularly as it can feel too greasy/ sticky, but it’s worth a try! You should also see your local derm who can see if you would benefit from any prescription medications!
@@usamasyed thank you for the information I was aware about the Vaseline but I didn’t know it could work that better I already went to see a dermatologist and she just told me that I have a very dry skin and the allergist did all possible test and nothing came out to why I am so itchy all the time, the dr told me to buy Sarna cream to calm the itchy and even that crean I have to by the sensitive because he regular one the smell was very strong for me. For the past three years every time I shower my skin starts itching for 20 to 50 minutes, when I went to the hospital the doctor told me to "change your soap" (That didn't work)

I recently moved to Houston from CA. and started itching, I think it might me the water, i dont get red skin or bumps just so itchy everywhere

If i sleep topless, i get itchy (on certain fabrics)
What might my problem be?
My problem is I feel pricking sensation all over my body in winter only if I get exposed to sun or if my body generates heat, as if thousands of thorns piercing me all my body, itches me. There is no use even if I try to scratch. Exposure to fan relieves me a little bit . I even sweat at times and my skin colour turns red. I even consulted an endocrinologist and dermatologist but they too are clueless about my problem. Even my blood reports are normal; they just advised to apply anti-itching cream and dry skin lotions. I have been experiencing this itching for 8 years now every time I bath I start to itch 😢

@@usamasyed thanks for your response nope gp will be referring me in the meantime I've been prescribed aqua max which cream and hydrocortisone cream they help when I put on but once they try I start itching again.
I’m having THE SAME EXACT ISSUE
What do u do
@melanieking3653 Also having this problem .. Randomly itch anyway anytime , it’s been an year already and the issue has not resolved ... I’m still confused whether it’s an internal body problem or any skin problem.. whether to go for a doctor or dermatologist? It sucks literally
Can anyone explain my situation??? Either a start feeling itch all over my body for no reason or whan I am stressed. Moreover a can take up any sport activity because i feel itchiness when exercising. A response would be appreciated.
@@vikramchoudhary5938 Oh you must be experienced!!! Any idea how to deal with that at first ?
I agree with @Vikram Choudhary, exercise or stress related urticarias are fairly common!
Hello Dr.Syed
While you are on the subject of itching I would like to ask you about treating Intertrigo.I find this problem so difficult to deal with.It is painful, itchy and basically drives me crazy.I have been to many dermatologists and I walk away with the same recommendations.Topical steroids. The rash comes and goes but it always shows up in the same two areas.Under my chest and under my stomach which makes it very difficult to find clothing that does not irritate it any further. Can you offer any insight on how to deal with this annoying and painful condition.Thank you.
Dr my itchy is most my arms and hand but recently I started having itchy in my necks and upper back I don’t know the reason, I am using every product is for dry and itchy skin and unscented and also I wash everything from my clothes to sheets with a soap for sensitive skin, now somebody in TH-cam recommended Vaseline instead of cream they found it more effective
I am going to try the Vaseline at least it will help my pocket
@@sirenagarrido3836 how are you doing now?
@@shrawanthapa1835 No to good more allergies than never besides the skin lately I’ve been developing food allergies that is making me crazy not just for the skin itchiness also becoming very sensitive to a lot of food something I never have before and I found out that probably because my Immune system is very low I think I have candida for all the symptoms so I going to start a treatment and see if that can help me find a balance
