@@renardruse9754 game is not very bad optimized, many projects have more terrible optimization. On rtx 4070 get 90-95 fps in TLOU is possible, but more is unlikely
Wow, this is really comprehensive. Thanks for taking the time. Your settings helped me get a locked 60 fps at 4k in the heavier areas of the game. On 1.1.2 with these settings 7900 XT 4k native. Game looks absolutely stunning in HDR.
Honestly, I used to go to digital foundry for all the optimized settings but you seem to be working for a higher standard of graphical fidelity than Alex understandably. And I appreciate your settings much more rather than just throwing my new high rig into full overdrive I can get great graphical quality and excellent performance well done
Tbh most of the modern games of u have a good rig you can max out n cap fps at 60 and turn on vsync n also freesync n motion blur n uncapping fps in single player games is a blasphemy tbh u don’t need 144fps while playing tlou
@@ttghhgg1918 I’m pretty good with the 60 fps standard and usually keep it at that only every now and again bumping the cap to 75 or 100-120 for something really kinetic like Cold War or Deus ex and then optimizing from there. I just mean Alex over on DF is usually working with a more mid range rig and optimizing from there for a much broader general audience where this channel seems to be pushing that bill a little farther and just overall giving a better representation of what is really necessary even on a high end rig that can “just run everything” and just make it run a bit better and a bit cooler without sacrificing very much at all
I've regained my ability to love gaming again and you quickly became my favourite youtube channel. Such good work and in a detail I have not seen yet on youtube anywhere. Thank you!
Thanks for this guide. You did such a stellar, stand out job, that I'm going to subscribe even though my PC is good enough to where I don't need vids like this 90% of the time. I will from now on link to this video whenever I need an example of a good video guide on optimized settings for poorly performing PC ports. All benchmark/optimization guide videos should aspire to this level of professionalism and quality!
Thanks for the tips man, helped me get my frametimes smoother on my 4090. My card may be overkill but every bit helps to make for a smoother experience at higher resolution.

Thank you for your hard worked i followed your RES4 Remake guide and it made it look so good on a RX6600XT. Playing with settings always drives me insane.
the volumetric effects add a lot to the game atmosphere though, albeit with a lot of performance impact, the cost is dependence on the location but I'd suggest keep it as high as much as you can bear
Could you please mention the resolutions at which these optimizations were done. Or can these settings be used at any resolution? I assume in this video it was 1440p. Awesome video btw!
Awesome guide, thanks! I followed your suggestions and the only thing I changed where the reflections cuz they looked pretty bad on low. I went with high there and I've been running the game between 60-80 fps on my 3060 ti
I think they just need to add a good implementation of DLAA to fix the usual TAA issues that so many modern games have. DLSSTweaker can force DLAA but its never perfect that way since its not officially implemented.
Just get a DLSS 3 mod and you won't have to optimize as much. I went from everything to medium at 5120x1440p 75fps to 180 lol. The gains are insane with this mod.
Its still a huge issue that in some completly normal areas you can get massive framedrops to around 10-12 fps unplayable while having to fight the enemy but at other times completely stable 70 fps. I hope they keep improving the game so i can have a completely non issue playthrough and not having to force myself through parts of the game or wait for updates for it to fix itself.
I have exactly the same issue. Sometimes it drops below 30fps. When i quit the game and load at the exact same point of the game it runs find on 75 fps..
@@sjoepdabbadoebie Changing the Ai setting does help a bit when against a lot of enemies. But besides that it seem using a memory reducer also helps with the lag spikes if you are hitting 100% I can somewhat play the game smooth enough for me to aim and play well in stressful situations after this.

No, Survivor needs optimization. He isn’t doing any new guides because there’s no way to make the game run decently without developer intervention or the DLSS mod, other than reducing the settings as much as you can bear to have the “best” possible performance
Currently, No optimization guide can improve Jedi Survivor's performance , even with everything on Low you'll get FPS drops and noticeable stuttering because of the poor CPU usage.
@@redclaw72666So the game can barely hit 70+ fps in CPU limited scenarios on overclocked 10900K, even without RT and you think it does not need CPU optimization? I mean, such a config should easily run it at 100+ fps with RT! Then it can be called an optimized game.
