Yo. 1st sax did Shorter justice. Vick Bailey, Erskine and Acuna carry the whole piece! The maestro is fantastic. The orchestra, from horns to strings effing nailed bit. This is beautiful. Just gorgeous!
The tenor solo sounded like he was trying to meld elements of two very different players, namely the floaty harmony of Wayne with the rhythmic impact of Brecker. Very cool. Also loved the arranging of the mellow horns, the Flugels, Trombones, and French horns. Victor was awesome and I’d have loved to see WR with Erskine on kit and Acuña on percussion…yikes!

Metropole at his best, great arrangement by Maestro Mendoza , amazing solo work , wish we had something like this in Italy, but I'm afraid it will never happen for a number of reasons . Be sure to check the upcoming "Get up" album by the Bob Mintzer big band, which will feature an amazing arrangement of the same tune !
What a beautiful piece! You guys have done it again, floored me with a sophisticated down home grove and so very laid back about it. Thanks for the happy new year elegance experience
Great music! Seriously funky groove (way more than some Cory Wong crap). And great solos--interesting and creative, not just playing the expected runs. Nice recording and video as well!

Great composition by Wayne Shorter always gives me the goosebumps ❤
Gosh Jaco would have simply loved this big band sound, as he was heading in this direction anyway. :)
That cowbell is very important to this tune!!!!!!❤

Shout-out to guitarist Peter Tiehuis, I really loved his solo! (of the WR alumni we already know how great they are;)
Peter just nails it down to a T....
WR didn't like guitar, it doesn't belong here
This is great. I find myself listening to it several times a day.

Brilliance and tone colors.
Peter Tiehuis absolutely one of the finest guitarists of all time. Stunning performer of total integrity.
