They digested the information from the other culture and returned it to the world with new elements added, enriched. Extraordinary orchestral work. I have never heard anything that comes close to it, neither in Brazil nor elsewhere. The chorus was a find - popular samba is often accompanied by a hubbub of voices, singing or talking, or shouting. Absolute chapeau!

Every collaboration Metrople Orkest has done is SUBLIME! I love their versatility. I never get sick of listening to them. They have performed with some of the best ever. HANDS UP!
Give the drummers some! I was lucky enough to catch this show at the London Barbican back in 2011, and I think unless footage like this existed, I would've swore I dreamt the whole thing. It was just TOO good! 😍
