I’ve always had a problem with “no show” socks. They always slide down and bunch up. Most aren’t totally “no show”, and look horrible. Today I solved the problem. I took a pair of cotton/poly dress socks and cut them in half. They just cover the the front of my feet. Wore them all day today. They stayed put and were comfortable all day! Wore them in a pair of Bruno Magli blue suede penny loafers. Thanks for the informative videos.

Great video! Where did you get your espadrilles from?

Espadrilles from Morjas. They are nice but are somewhat loose fitting at the back (they look that way on the model in their site videos too), but it's hard to get used to for me.

I’ve always considered this a Venetian style loafer and are great go to S/S casual shoe that looks better than dress sneakers. Venetian loafers are a great entry loafer, extremely easy to pair with shorts, casual and more tailored linen trousers, chinos and tapered jeans.

I was not aware of the Venetian connection. I agree it is better than a sneaker/trainer. I bought a "dress sneaker" from Scarosso and reviewed it in one of my other videos, but I definitely wear this one much more.

Loving the videos. Very good descriptions and images to support. Would love to see more, maybe vertical shooting for some videos, so we can see your full assamble. Thanks for sharing.

Good idea. I may move into another location where I can set the camera further back.

Great video! I was wondering how the Suit Supply loafers & Scarosso loafers fit?

I really like SuitSupply loafers. Essentially all of mine are from them. Scarosso I had problems with the sizing of the slipons and haven't bought another loafer from them for fear of having to go through the long return process. I may try them in the summer though, but I know Susu fits me well in my usual size and are pretty comfortable. Scarosso is good for boots though--more margin for error by mail order

I think it’s worth noting the original model of this shoe, is the summer walk by Loro Piana. They also have a fall winter version called open walk, both are heavily copied.

Good to know. I have seen them from Loro Piana but didn't know they innovated it. They definitely have become widespread over the past couple of years. It seems every shoe company has a version.

which one do you think was the best out of all of them?

For slip-on like this? I would say probably Suitsupply in term of combined comfort and appearance.

The one made by Scarosso. Is it made in Blake construction or in Cemented construction?

Another nice video, you always give some solid advice. Have you checked out the "Sagan Stride" line from Baudoin & Lange? They definitely seem even more dressed up than the ones you showed in this video. I'm not too sure what to think about those gum sole Belgian loafers. I feel like the dressy upper might be clashing a bit with the ultra casual gum sole. BTW, what brand are those espadrilles, and are those of suede or canvas upper? I've been wanting to find a pair just like those for a long time.

I have looked at Belgians but maybe find them too delicate looking TBH. I agree that the gum doesn't work with the Belgian upper style. The espadrilles (suede upper) are from Morjas in Sweden, and I would recommend them overall but the sizing can be tricky, so be prepared to possibly return/exchange. They say to size down a full size on their site. Good price and quality but again, be aware of the sizing.

I have seen a lot of people wear them with socks, black or dark grey socks works best.
