I gazed upon this undrilled barrel and despaired. ;)
forgive me, i have sinned
For the algorithm!
For the channel!
For the emperor!
Mad respect for the quick and to the point video!
Sons of the lion disapprove this video 😭
Love the short video!
Also glad you realised what it's all about. I only want to do it better then my friends.
I barely found your channel. As a novice painter I really like the way you explain everything. Also you have a great non gatekeeper attitude which is always awesome. Thanks for the help along my hobby journey.
This is exactly what I needed. Thankyou
I am digging these short 2-3 minute tutorials.
Oh god, yeah do more stuff like this my dude. This was excellent and didn't cost me any time to watch, basically.
Zenethal: Once you go bottom black, you never go any other direction.
Amazing video jay, the understanding that probably half of us don’t have air brush capabilities, and showing the dry brush alternative. It turned out perfectly and I will be doing the every time going forward your a star!
Blue glaze is a great idea. Thanks for this video.
Omg just what I needed yesterday haha
Loved the quality of the camera work!. Would have liked to see the finished look (the smaller details like the eagle ) painted.
Thank you very much, Jay!
Epic job and quick too! I would've liked to see a taking it further option, to really bring out the high contrast nature of shiny metal. Probably just a more controlled but still quick bright highlight around say the barrel, the scope, or any important details to bring out.
I'm liking the look of that blue effect but I wanna see it over/with the metallic paint.
I love these short videos that aren't drawn out and get to the point!
This was very helpful I was just painting my guns black
validation for me painting metal bolters all these years
Great! Thanks
I love the zenithal highlight on these! Really makes the bolters pop. For some reason I find drybrushing kind of hard. It's the most embarrassing thing. I think I'm too impatient.
You just showed me how to paint NMM in like 30 seconds better than literally any tutorial I've seen in the last 2 years of hobbying thank you
awesome tips!
Normally I paint my weapons gunmetal over black base, then a wash with Coat d'arms gun wash, but this could be an useful alternative 👍😁
How did you get that super clean ass drilled barrel?
I immediately love this.
You are my heroes.
Ayyy I can show off, now I just need to find friends 🤔
Video comes out at 6am EST
What time zone is this dude in?!?
the only time that matters, Central Time!
Good tips!
Is this JAY HACKS?! So fast simple and good! Hopefully there's a new series coming... Cheers mate!
Personally I like the xenos style of painting a weapon with one main colour then a complimentary secondary one for details.
Very cool!!!!!
I want to try this. Will be a little harder to do with Space Wolves when you consider the skulls and things mounted on top of the rifles lol.
2 Helmeted marine is the best marine.
Thanks for the secret necron/metal armor paint tutorial ;)
Ive been using a basic trick of puting some german grey from vallejo and dry brush some metalics and its pretty easy and good
An specially if you play a swarm army its fast
oh MAN.
I'm super new to the hobby and this was super simple to follow. I have to ask, though!
When you're comparing them at the end which is the one on the bottom? Is that the dry brushed one? It has more black showing the lower it goes and looks sick. I'd be stoked if that were drybrush!
I've found priming in white and thinning down some black templar contrast paint to paint swlegion blasters
What a video
Thanks Jay from two years ago.
Gee bill, your primarch lets you have TWO helmets?
thank you algorithm gods
BETTER then your friends!!
Me looking at my friends golden demon.. :/
Nice tutorial. Keep it up!
What's better to use for a primer, black or white?
Would drakenhoff nightshade work after a white dry brush for a similar affect? :)
My friends watched this vides too. I'm screwed.
I don't get the blue black wash step? For what was this done? Did this had any effect?
Can U show how to paint Rusted Boltgun for plaguemarines?
Nice tutorial I myself personally just like using contrast paints on the weapons
Vallejo Mecha Color Dark Steel is the best gunmetal paint IMO, if anyone's looking for a gunmetal or wanting to try a new one
what was the blue gray colour you used?
Slave to the rhythm. The algorithm.
Ha.
its always easy to have the best painted figures out of no one. 😂
Easy NMM? Heresy 😳
That model has 2 helmets?
👍
I already paint better than a few of my miniature painting friends because they pay me to paint there's lol
Does that Marine collect helmets or something?
Clicks for the click God, views for the view throne!
Obligatory engagement comment. All hail the algorithm!
This makes me sad that I went with the traditional dark red for my bolters....
this could be a good base to add details like red details to it
to be honest, one on the left looks true, one on the right looks rainbow, but that's personal feeling...
Everything needs an airbrush and I don't own one and can't own one or a can spray can't I just paint them black with my paint
Cursed double helmet Primaris
Like and comment to appease the almighty algorithm
the algorithm is appeased!
this is one weapon.
Two Ways to Make BETTER Weapons than Your FRIENDS! -> Drill your barrels :)
Whats this? Jay didn’t have much to say?
Love your vids man but this was way too many steps for such a simple result . I think this could be done significantly better.
@ScreenHackTV What would you suggest?
That's really not a NMM effect dude
Thats the most lazy and pitiful way to paint a bolter.
