How to draw an owl:
Step 1. Draw two circles.
Step 2. Draw the rest of the fuckin owl.
They literally went from "this is how you make a lame bass sound in FM8" to "this is how it will sound if you knew what to do with it". What happens in between is what people are actually interested in.
Experiment your way there. No need to copy someone elses style, find your own trademark instead.
In order to find your own style, you first need to learn the techniques. Granted, this isn't a tutorial, but in terms of explanation, the "How to draw an owl" example is fitting.
and how do you think they learned? most probably From trial and 'error' experimentation , is no fun copying someone and not getting there yourself ... the process is the fun part and the most rewarding :)

Hoi Martijn! Ik ben net weer terug in hardware synth's na een layoff. Ik heb een mininova, strymon blue sky en een focusrite. Ik heb eerdere eravringen met synth's ( 1986 dx7-2007ísh).Ervaring met digitaal en analoog ( mono/poly). Het is een start zeg maar ;). Ik heb een budget van 800 euro. Stijl is ambient, deep house, jarre, 80'sh synthpop, jarre en boards of canada. Wat is jouw opinie de beste uitbreiding voor mijn setup? Dank je, Mike.

Anyone knows what version of Cubase is this and if there is any crack? Last one I tried was 3 SX, the rest didn't have a crack yet. Im trying to move from FLstudio but can't find a good replacement, the other DAW arent as intuitive.

not sure yet, but it seems to be "iZotope Insight". You can mess with its settings and make some neat, fullscreen, 2D spectogram with whatever color palette u want

when you think about it, if Masters of FM8 such as him can't figure out how to loop a fuckin envelope in FM8, that means the interface is really badly designed, but such incredible sounds can be made with it!

@@marshallholland2248 i agree! Native Instruments could take some hints from Sytrus for some of the more advanced stuff, and Image Line could also take some hints from NI for it, such as the legato/portamento controls

I love how Noisia tutorials tell you next to nothing. It's like 'yeah, we fuck with some stuff, and then distort it, and then, we fuck with it some more' haha. It's probably too complex to do an in depth tutorial!
It's because they genuinely don't know. Their ability comes from hours of practice and honed instinct, not conscious knowledge. that should be the biggest takeaway here. Practice > Theory

And yet somehow they still manage to teach. I just used his whole fm a sub oscillator trick on Xfer Serum and I made a preset that sounds VERY similar to something that they'd make. But of course I tweaked it to my liking and now it sounds like something that Id make.

Give up on using FL studio. I know that's not the answer you are looking for but the sooner you move to more professional software the better.
massive_walnut cubase (daw) + native instruments fm 8 (vst instrument) + izotope trash 2 (multiband distortion) + valhalla room (reverb) + fabfilter pro-q 2 (equalizer)
All the major DAWs are the same< it's all about workflow.
