Cool! The thing that intrigues me the most is your use of send effects. Those are what ultimately make your tracks so pumped and powerful. Many sidechains and multiple stages of compression ultimately create a superb sound
The level of detail and time probably, makes me know I'm not even half the level of these dudes, I finish and make a track in like 24 hours. Its sick tune and extremely interesting to watch this.
I can't believe you only have 3k subs. This is pure gold. I've been waiting years for a glimpse into this kind of real Neurofunk produciton. Your channel is about to explode!
Really great series building up, thanks for making them! The kick phase flip has me curious - will be doing some tests to understand what you’re doing!
All he means is when the sun note changes it changes the sound of sub and kick transient combined. Because the waves are now alligined slightly different. This is because both sub and kick are both similar waves from serum. So to stop this happening he just presses the reverse phase button on a duplicate of the kick in those spots. Which flips the top and bottom of kick wave. So the transients sound similar to the original combination.
Awesome vid! At around the 3:00 mark you talk about kick phase alignment, can you go into that in a bit more detail? i dont think i fully understand the concept, or if you can link to something that explains it :) thanks for the vids been loving them

Thoroughly enjoying the insights! Do you use those Akais? The top one looks a lot like the s1000 which was my first sampler. I get nostalgic each time I see it sitting there in your rack :-)
@Mefjus Can you please help guide me how to re-create the snare in this song that's at 1:30min - 1:50min of the original track Bubble? I have been trying for years to get that harmonic "snare" pluck the trap sounding snare. Please send guidance how I can recreate that style of snare! :)
Thanks for doing these Martin, nice to see you more active doing behind the scenes stuff.
Could you maybe go in depth into mixing? Phase alignment and more advanced stuff. I would love geeking out on that!
Xeah that phase alignement trick = kick n Sub would be great. Do you check that with a korrelation meter...?

It's really cool to see the explanations of such high level productions. Would watch as much as you will share, thanks Martin.

That trick for using a second kick drum to take care of phase issues was key! Thanks so much!!

I've been making the odd DnB track since around the year 2000... when I watch a video like this I realise I know fuck all about production...
*G O L D*
any chance you can break down the processing of the social media vocals? such a cool effect!
SoupOS sounds like a frequency shifter is in the chain somewhere. Phace is known to rep GRM Tools, which iirc, has one.
Wouldve want to seen tips on loudness in these tutorials.
Hello Mefjus fanbois.
