  • @Jessica_Jones

    Wow, what a beautiful transformation! I'm totally a neutrals gal as well but am all about that high contrast of rich greens and navy blues -- your cabinet turned out so well and those gold pulls added the perfect touch 😍 (Loved that low-key wood stain, too!)
    When I first realized this video was over 30 minutes long I thought, "Oh man, okay," but then I was loving every minute! I so appreciate your in-depth and knowledgeable advice as well as your thoughtful filming and editing. Your planning for the bathroom reno AND documenting it the way you did is impressive 👏🏻👏🏻 Excellent job and thanks so much for all of the great tips 😊

    You’re so lucky to have a window in your bathroom!! I would get rid of the window shutters, and just add window frost. Natural light is the best!

    • @BrontesLife
      @BrontesLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks!! I prefer shutters. Window frost really isn’t my jam and you can still see silhouettes. Our window faces the street and all of our neighbors houses 😬

  • @arleenmarrare8050
    @arleenmarrare8050 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have used that flooring.
    A word of warning.....
    If your room has a lot of sunlight, that is cast on
    to the floor.
    The tiles will separate and buckle. Leaving large gaps between seams.
    I must always now , keep the drapes closed.
    After repairing the warped tiles.
    I guess I could put a large area rug, over those spots. But have not tried it as of yet.
    Great renovation !

    Also, on peel & stick you can use a bit of glue. A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE. If you use alot it will get pushed out along the side. But just a lil bit makes sure you’re super secure. It’s my preference but not necessarily required
    Also where she framed the mirror you can use peel & stick back splash and sometimes floor. Depending on space and look and budget you can also use crown molding and/or baseboard which can often be purchased already primed.
    Basically, if you see something that you like with label for X but you’re doing Y, quite often there are ways to make it work

    Great and affordable update! I am curious of the waterproof ability of the peel and stick flooring. I’ve only heard the luxury vinyl snap in kind is 100% waterproof, especially for a bathroom so let us know how it holds up. But that flooring color is gorgeous and completely changed the entire look. That green cabinet!! It gives me life. Really fantastic job with minimal budget.

    • @BrontesLife
      @BrontesLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much!!!!! It claims to be waterproof, but I will for sure keep everyone updated on how it’s held up! I’ll try to do a 6 month update. Which is actually soon because we laid it in July 😂😂😂 it took me so long to get motivated to complete this. It really upped the look of the bathroom though! We did it in the kids bathroom too and it’s just so much brighter and more updated. Thank you so much for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😍

    A couple of quick time/effort savers; cut the bottom of the trim a wee bit to put flooring under with no finessing anything and with textured wall, put on dry deck, use finger to 'lift' random peaks, let dry then go over with damp cloth. It cleans and softens the peaks to match the rest of the wall.

    I'm doing my bottom kitchen cabinets and a behr color called fig tree. Trust me it looks great. And my top is kind of a blue gray wonderful thing that picks up the light. The greens are beautiful. But the fig tree is a green but not a bright bright green

    Crown molding to frame the mirror is also affordable and looks so good and you can stain or paint any color! And you can get it at Lowes or Home Depot as well. It elevates your standard ugly mirror and makes it look like a huge framed mirror.

    Hi...my husband built houses in Las Vegas . I miss living there...anyway..the spray texture you need to use for those walls is Orange peel..it says it on the spray texture also...then you won’t have to use the scraper to smooth it out. Enjoy those rounded corners..because we live in Omaha and the houses have the sharp corners which are easy to Knick up..gggrrrr. I have had to putty and paint several times. Enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing!
