- Hey Hey!! Today we are finally sharing our DIY SMALL BATHROOM MAKEOVER on a BUDGET ... it took us a while to finally revamp our lime green bathroom, but we did it & it was so worth the wait! (links from this video are below) This diy bathroom remodel took us about 5 days total & we ended up loving the mix of traditional & modern design style. We painted the lime green walls to something more neutral, added a hand painted stencil, board & batten, replaced all the builder grade hardware, painted the bathroom vanity, added some diy wooden shelves & so much more, to create a gorgeous new bathroom! Hi Amanda, everything looks awesome and you both did a great job with this makeover. I would recommend to move plant on bottom shelf to right corner as it needs more light to survive 🙂

The easiest way to take a mirror off the wall without breaking it is to take fishing line and place behind the mirror and slide back and forth until it breaks away from the wall.

Amanda, I love that accent wall above the sink. It’s just enough. The vanity color is gorgeous. Isn’t it crazy what a huge change paint can make. This looks like an Amanda makeover. That green did not fit in your home at all. This is a beautiful bathroom.❤
Wow what a difference the bathroom looks twice as big painted that colour. Love the shelves and the vanity unit looks so high end now.

I appreciate that you do budget conscious makeovers because it’s more relatable for your viewers. Your monkey hook demo made perfect sense! I know you struggled with the design choices for this room, but the end result is great!

The colours, shapes and accents all blend in perfectly, if it was me the only thing I would’ve changed would be to have the height of the board and batten to be level with the bottom of the window so that line flowed but that’s just the OCD in me 😂

I loved the stencil wall, I also LOVE the pebble cabinet! It made me want to paint my whole kitchen!! The only thing I would suggest is covering the mirror on the medicine cabinet with something DIY theysell some that are frames but I bet you could DIY it!
Kyle and Amanda 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 it looks amazing, just like it was meant to be. What a transformation. The wall color was the start. Love the color and finish on the vanity. The round mirror is impactful as well as the gorgeous shelves. You used those in other makeovers and they are stunning. I love what you Both have done. The baton board 👌🏼. The one thing I would remove i the side mirror cabinet. It competes with the mirrow and seems extra. In the other 2 bathrooms mimic similar colors given the space, maybe a darker rug since boys may need to camouflage the daily wear. Add the same light fixture. 👍🏼👍🏼
They could of removed the mirror covered it with board and painted it the same as the walls if it was too hard to remove the whole cupboard/cabinet.

Yeah, I actually wanted to take down the medicine cabinet and replace it with some nice open wood shelves since the medicine cabinet is sunk into the wall. But wasn’t sure how time consuming it would be. Both the boys bathrooms have that, so maybe we will experiment with this one in a house projects video before tackling theirs! - I would love to swap it out for something more modern :)

This is just a personal preference that i'm asking you to consider: could you please do music without words....it's so much more relaxing to watch when there isn't singing in the music.

This turned out great. I love the board & batten, the rug idea & those chunky wood shelves. It turned out wonderful. I live in an apartment & I wish I would paint. One thing I hate about my apart.me this that there are 5 different colors of “brown” wood (window frames, closet doors, cabinets in the kitchen, cabinets in the bathroom & other doors. Drives me nuts.

At first I was wondering why the natural mirror instead of a black rimmed mirror. After you put the up the shelves, I got it! It turned out beautifully.
What did I love? All of it! What a spectacular make-over, Amanda and Kyle. My favourite part was seeing the green paint get covered up. Besides that, I really liked how you painted your vanity doors. We need that done in our main bathroom, although I am not as brave as you are. I would have to hire someone. The bathroom looks very modern with traditional touches, just what you had planned at the start. Well done!

I’ve started doing your water on the roller hack. I like just using my hand to spread the water and not run it under the faucet that way I don’t have an over abundance of water. Great hack!

It’s funny, our home is 21 years old and we are the original owners (newlyweds and no kids when we moved in!!). And seeing your home and how it wasn’t taken care of quite as well as it could have been over the years, makes me appreciate that us taking care of our home all these years has actually been worth it! A home that has been taken care of shows…as does a home that hasn’t. So, anyone reading, know that taking care of what you have, no matter how small, is a gift to your future self🥰

I paused, just to say thank you for painting the inside of the doors. It makes it a complete, professional look, with only a little extra effort. So many people do half-a$$ painting, and it really wonderful to see both front and back of doors being painted. Kudos!
I LOVED this transformation! I want to do board and batten by our front door and kenny hasn’t wanted to because of the texture but I think you’ve just convinced me that it would look fine!

The room turned out beautiful, board and batten gorgeous. Love everything about it, just a suggestion you could switch the frame on the shelf with the plant it looks like it would get more light on that side and it doesn’t need a lot of watering, sometimes we “overlove” are plants. You two always do very high end looking makeovers on a budget amazing😊❤

Looks great. The two mirrors are a bit confusing. Gave u thought about maybe covering the medicine cabinet with a piece of art with a depth so u can still open the cabinet for storage. Maybe one of your texture kind of art pieces. ❤❤❤

I loved how this turned out. Something you might consider(if you haven't already) is painting black around the medicine cabinet mirror and changing or painting the door handle black. Don't get me wrong, the bathroom looks wonderful but just extra things to think about. Thank you for sharing with us.

I just bought a house and your bathroom is exactly what I have to deal with. I went for modern deco even though I am almost 70 yrs old grandma. I got rid of all wood trims and opted for only the newest color paint for 2023. I love the paint color you used. You pulled it together nicely. I do flip homes so I have seen different deco, it does not cost much just a few changes that could make the loudest statement. Thank you again, I loved it.
